What is the point of this discussion on collecting new POS/POW coins. Because, my concern is there cannot any point of looking for best POS/POW coins in this crypto space. Yes, these coins will be dumped in coming days even they are THE BEST.

From the past experience and observation what I have learned is, people mine or stake such coins by studying its actual potential, still they will dump their rewards at current market and makes finally those coins get delisted from the exchanges. I mean they will choose highly potential (or best in your terms) but they will never prefer to hold the rewards; that is the actual problem here with such POS/POW coins whereas tokenecomic are not facing such problem.
That must be very good point here. Decentralization allows everyone to mint from the supply but people are rushing toward encasing their rewards which will be going against that coin. I completely agree with your point but we must work on a probable solution for encouraging POW/POS coins because with token, you could never get chances to mine which means one important aspect of decentralization is suppressed there. In my opinion, tokens are partially corporate coins as they are the crypto version of stock-like. We should not encourage them.

At the same time, people who mine are not noobs to dump their mining rewards. I mean they will keep on holding when they realize there will be the future of those coins. At the same time, miners will choose coins based on current market value so that they could cover running costs of mining process. Hence, dumping the rewards in inevitable for them but they will opt to hold some 10% to 20% of rewards but based on potential of a coin.

Lol! Let's take a look at their prices first. These prices are based on Coingecko as none of them are listed on coinmarketcap.

Talleo (TLO): $0.00008784
Bitvaluta (BTV): No information whatsoever
MicroPaymentCoin (MPC): $0.00030785

No of these coins have reached to such a level where we can really debate on whether they are best newcomers of 2020. Personally, I believe the best POS coin for 2020 will be ETH once they move to POS algorithm this year.

With the price conditions and also not listing on coin marketcap, I think it will take a long time for the coins to be targeted by investors. Investors will definitely choose coins that have been listed at large exchangers and also large liquidity

That goes without saying, its a given. Once some or all of these get listed on coinmarketcap they'll get more attention than what they are atm.

The devs at Bitvaluta seem to be quite creative, at least they made this very cool looking intro movie https://t.me/bitvaluta/1060

@Mindin. Mimblewimblecoin hehehe?

I predict that 2020 and 2021 will be the hype of Mimblewimble privacy technology hehehe. Litecoin have begun adopting it. The next adopters might be the other old altcoins similar to dogecoin. The last would be the scamcoins hehehehe.

With a provable supply cap of 20,000,000, MWC is a scarce pure proof of work Mimblewimble based coin that enables greater network scalability, privacy and fungibility than legacy blockchain protocols. All transactions on the base layer use Greg Maxwell's Coin Join with his Confidential Transactions and signature aggregation. MWC is the technologically superior ghost money.

MimbleWimbleCoin has been added to the poll, has the same privacy technology, should be right up your alley.

Added MimbleWimbleCoin MWC to the poll. What are your views on that project?

Good project, based on the same blockchaintech as Grin.

Presently the best POW I am more into is Veil Privacy coin, I won't say much about it as it's just a privacy coin with better features when comparing with Monero and others

I took part in the Veil bounty campaign. Sold the tokens as their future prospects took a turn for the worse. I see on coinmarketcap i didn't lose out on anything.

I am an old school guy and I won't be interested to venture into something new. I first of all do not believe in coins that are less than a year old. My personal favourite is Neo and Decred. Read  an interesting article about the Best staking coins while searching few new one and added Tezos to my kitty.

That's fine. Each our own taste, but you fail to see the point of the thread. This poll isn't about what coin you think is best or worthwhile from the last decade, but the last 6 months.

On another note, by your standards you would have considered Bitcoin uninteresting in 2010 and Ethereum uninteresting in 2016, when they were both new and under a year old. I think that would have been a serious mistake.

A very interesting project, but it's more than a year old, so it's hardly a newcomer.

I am not sure about these 3 coins that can make it.
I respect everyone's investment plans but these ones seem untrustable. In fact, I am looking at only Binance Chain Alliance for now. Because they are selecting projects meticulously for Alliance. And this month, we saw that 3 coins from that alliance were listed on Binance, catch the great hype.
Still, Bitcoin dominance is so high. So all altcoins are affected by the price of Bitcoin. That's why we still need to keep an eye on Bitcoin when making an investment decision.

Do you have any tips on who might actually make it, that is kind of new and interesting? Binance Chain Alliance sounds like a closed loop to me.

Does it have to be new? I mean maybe you can invest into something older? As we all know here the new coins that are not tested by time are usually bad investments and that is exactly why many people suggest staying away from them until they prove themselves to be a good contender. I personally wouldn't go into anything that is not 6 months old, I probably stay away from all the new ones under 1 year and aim at staying away from under 2 year as well.

I personally have bitcoin, ethereum stuff like that but if I had to do any PoS coin I would probably go with tezos, cosmos, waves and stuff like that because like them or dislike them but we all know what they are and who the creators and how the coin is doing which is all it matters for me and at least I can be sure for what I am investing into.

I look at new to about 2 year old coins. Older than that they are mostly too expensive or mostly abandoned. The problem with coins being too expensive is that if they somehow fail, or get abandoned,or is replaced by a better tech coin, then there is no bottom and you lose a small fortune.

There is also a huge point missing in this debate, and that is new coins can come up with superiour new tech blowing the competition away. Like the pc's did with the typewriters in the 70's, and Bitcoin is 10+ years old, it may be this typewriter and get killed off in the years to come by something much better tech coming up soon.

I've got this feeling people dont want to spread the word about what they would consider to be good startup coins, they want to mine those in peace first and load up as much as possible. Afterwards when they have what they want they tell others to buy and mine.
So does it have to be new, this poll is about new coins, not old projects with an already high marketcap.

The coins that have been tested by time, then you basically missed the train at the station so to speak in regards to getting in early when the price is low and the pools arent swamped with miners, like todays Ethereum and other older projects are.
