  • Enabling 2FA

2FA Can Protect A Gambler From Hacking His Account But How 2FA Can Save A Gambler From Deep Gambling Addiction? The most effective strategy to be safe in gambling is to gamble within a limit and always keep yourself in control without panicking. 2FA will still come in handy when a gambler wins high-amount bets and his casino account is at risk for hackers.  Because if the fact of winning a large amount is known, his account may be attacked by hackers
There's a fine line in regarding on what things could help out on avoiding for your account to get hacked and on how to make yourself avoid on getting addicted. This is why it would really be that better that there should really be some sort of specification in regarding about being staying safe. It could really be pertain on how making yourself being safety for you not to be ending up with addiction or you are really simply
trying out to avoid on losing money because of hacked account. So i would say that this listing wont really be that precise or not to be that in organized unless if there would be some changes which it would
be that separated then it would really be just that fine.

Safest thing of all? Then you should really be not doing gambling. You would be saving up yourself with those hacking incident plus you would be saving yourself from being addicted on which it is a double win
or right thing to be done but if you are really that going for fun and dont mind about saving or spending up then it would really be your choice. There are really just those
people who do really dont mind about spending as long they could really be able to enjoy.

Sure this will help keep your account safe but its not the main thing i worrie about when visiting these sites. Fom my own side i would make a somewhat overlooked observation: Before you start gambling, make sure you understand the value you are going to bet or deposit in your local currency terms before you do it. It is SO EASY to overlook the actual amount in FIAT and get a feeling like its play money you are using.

For me, it is three  things and these are

  • Play money that you can afford to lose and
  • Take time to read the TOS of the casino and always be aware of the changes
  • Play in a casino that has proven its reputation

If you follow these three things you are safe, your gambling experience will be enjoyable and you will not log out depressed and feel sorry.

Good tips! 2FA is easily the best way to secure your assets in any crypto gambling site which is why it's a great suggestion op. Problem here is that most gamblers don't enable 2FA thanks to their laziness.

They lose their funds and whine about the site's security instead of rightfully blaming themselves.

I would add one more important thing, which is that you should not gamble with money for which you do not have a valid proof of origin - because I recently read a case where a user won almost $4 million with a deposit of $100k, and now the casino refuses to pay him win because he still hasn't been able to show them where the money he gambled with came from.

This is a funny to me. The casino allowed such huge bet and after the winning they realized the source of the money should be investigated? This is unfortunate and that means the casino is trying to be funny. They are asking to know the net worth of the player or what...

So I would play in a reputable casino where I know they would do all the background check they need to do and would release my winning incase I get lucky to win.
Source of income is like the document that is request for when a gambler wants to pass a level 4 kyc verification on Stake.com, so yeah, proving source of funds to casinos is nothing new, the only problem there is that, even before the casino allows a player deposit such a huge amount of money, the casinos should have asked the gambler or user to pass all level verification which includes proofing the source through which all the fund  the gambler will be using to gamble in the casino comes from.

What they are doing right now is trying to cheat the player, but such a matter can't be handled carelessly, the user should stand his ground, and if he has the capability, he should seek legal help, this is if the casinos hasn't paid him already.

My most important practice to staying safe in gambling is to gamble responsibly, and this is, adhering to every responsible gambling tips out there.
If this is on the TOS then there is nothing to do except to comply, I know it may seem unfair but I agree with @Lucius here, gamblers should only engage on online gambling with funds they can clearly demonstrate where they came from, because even if the money you deposited comes from legal sources, if you were to get a big win you will have to pass a very intensive verification process and any failure on your part to comply will lead to the loss of that money.

Stop lose, i am just thinking is that feature available on casino and if yes how do we set a stop lose, i thought stop lose is only applicable to trading since in trading you set the bought and sell price so at that you can set the limit for how much that price will get to and the trade get self executed.
But in gambling, setting such limit may be hard or impossible unless if anyone have a casino that already offers such a service.

All the points you outline are very important tools to stay safe in gambling, most especially in the area of setting a limit amount to your gambling expenses having a monthly spendable limits amount to gamble with.

Don't also use your main email to register. Getting a unique email that is only used for the casino will be safer. Don't also leave large sums in casinos. Having and following a gambling budget will also be a sound practice to avoid addition or over-gambling. Research on different casinos is also ideal for avoiding losing your funds to fraudulent casinos. Always read and understand the terms of service of the casino. Always check their policy on deposit, withdrawal, and KYC. Also, check if the use of VPN is acceptable if the casino is not accessible from your location.

I certainly agree with it. It is also important that we check the legitimacy of each casino that we will play with and we have to check if they're reputable and trusted. Checking their TOS is also necessary so we will not have regrets in the end as we will be able to comply and meet the requirements for KYC and other verification process.
We must know the do's and don'ts of each casinos so we will know how to enjoy gambling without violating any of their rules. We have to do it so we will not put our funds into too much risks. So we will also not expect too much if we are already aware of their terms and conditions.

Ah, nice topic.

I would like to add an indirect security measure that everyone must follow when registering on gambling sites. Now over a couple of months, I am continuously seeing an increased rate of accusations from the user's end where they are not like gambling sites asking for their KYC info because they have reached a certain limit of wagering. However, casinos have everything covered under the ToS. Now, if users do not do any KYC then they are going to lose the funds for nothing.

So safety tip: If you are KYC phobic then just read all the terms and conditions of the casino before making any move. If the casino requires KYC then you have to submit the KYC, so make sure you are comfortable sharing your KYC and making your account KYC verified for the safety of your funds.

This might look odd, but it's more than a mandatory requirement if you want your funds in your possession otherwise it's gone if no KYC is done after certain wagering.

The most important thing is play in a reputable and trusted casino, one of the example is BK8.

If you've confirm your email, use 2FA, biometric finger print, your password consist of 50 characters, setting stop limit, set bankroll limit, set how long you will gamble etc, but you're gamble in an unknown and not reputable casino, you're high likely get scammed.

With such a substantial amount of money, it's not wise to gamble online with unverified accounts. If there's a legitimate physical casino, it's better to go there or even travel to Las Vegas to gamble. KYC requirements can sometimes be used to exploit gamblers. As they say, casinos love losers but hate winners, especially when large sums of money are involved. I'm sure the gambler was very confident he would be able to withdraw since he deposited $100k, which is a significant amount. However, we don't have control over what a site might do to scam money from gamblers.

Regarding the OP, I always use 2FA. I don't see the need for loss or win limits to be automated; I can manage those manually.

Won’t this still help if you’re meeting with normal fiat? Using 2FA doesn’t really depend on the type of currency you’re using whether you’re using crypto or fiat it will still provide the same security that you want, same for for the Stop limit, if you’re on crypto or fiat stop limit will help you maintain how you spend your money in your gambling account so it’s not unique to “cryptocurrency casino”.

Actually, the few point you have listed could really help one stay safe while gambling. It is good one implore all valid means to secure their accounts while doing their things as gamblers but however i will say this to gamblers;
gamble what you can afford to loss, gamble responsibly, do not put all your funds into your gambling account with the mindset of saving it there because you just might wake up one day and find out that the casino is no more accessible and your funds are all gone.

If I am not mistakenly there are some other topics that Carry's more details of what you have explained here, sometimes it's advisable to use the search option before creating topic.
But nevertheless, as a gambler you all have to be patient while gambling because one thing there is to be more practical with game selection especially for sports betting and have a limits of how you often place bet. Let me say as you do list about loss limit, yes as a gambler you could decide how much to gamble per week or months because we the gamblers don't always put this in consideration as we think constantly gambling bring us winning but partially we lost more when we try to chase lost to make a winning. And of course 2fa is one major important keys to safeguard our funds in the gambling site otherwise it could be stolen by other use who may have remote access to our account.

I like 2FA, it adds another layer of protection. There are some gambling sites that do not require KYC, people should know that losing the 2FA backup can lead to loss of their gambling site account that they enable it. But it helps against hackers.

Setting stop loss can be good but some people prefer to use gambling budget instead. Once the budget has been spent, they wait until next week before they can continue to gamble.

The one that I can add is that no one should buy a gambling account. Some people can buy gambling account if the gambling site they want to register with require KYC and they want to gamble on the gambling site. People should not buy gambling site account.
