For me the best ethereum wallet is MEW or myetherwallet. It is compatible with the ERC20 based tokens and you can store it there. It also has an advantage because there are so many tokens that you can store in myetherwallet or mew. Beware of phishing site of MEW because once you log on your private key to that phishing site , you are doomed. So be aware and protect your private key.

MyEtherwallet (MEW) recommended for all erc20 tokens. Airdrops always requesting for your etherium address. Tips.. never give the private key of your MEW. Keep it in the safe place.

I suggest that you consider Ledger or Trezor hardware wallet, you can get one for less than $100 if you go for the basic model (which is good enough). However, buy from the official website because there are cases of hardware wallet from Ebay or other resellers being comprised. Do your own research on hardware softwares . Good lcuk

I store my eth in MEW although I've bought ledger half a year ago. If you don't have ethereum, you can buy it with Indacoin and store in their app.
But I suggest you only hard wallet, because you won't lose your crypto due to hack attack

You can use Online Wallet like MEW, it is save and easy to access from anywhere to the web. The important thing is to keep the private key, not to leak and disappear and also avoid phishing web when input private key. But if you have big amount eth, i think you better use wallet hardware like Trezor, Keepkey, Ledger Nano because it can be made offline so that storage is safer and each wallet hardware device is given a "recovery code", to be able to access the wallet if the hardware is lost or damaged , so the code must be stored properly.

I think the best are hardware wallets, ledger nano or trezor. You can use in combination with myetherwallet to have option to send ERC20 tokens. I use ledger nano s and until now it covers my needs and never had a problem. Maybe are also some hardware wallets on market that can help you but i didn't tried.

Hello all,

I am looking to store ETH in a wallet, what would you suggest is the best and safest way to do this? I am considering buying a trezor as well for extra protection. I am simply looking to hodl ETH.

Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

but now many choices depend on ourselves, but if I use a hardware wallet that is metamask is safer and very easy to use. very good for you who want to hodl eth

almost all ethereum wallets are good and very safe, proven to love using myetherwallet.com, imtoken and metamask never happened hacking cases. those who lose tokens or coins because they themselves are careless about phishing scattered on the internet and also malware that can fully control your computer.

I do not think people are loosing the fund at the myetherwallet as I know. When the people were signing up or logging in they were missed to check the site URL whether it is correct or not. This is the problem for all the time to save the fund on any online wallet.

Since the private key has been accessed manually it may be missed used at the any place.
Next to that there are many wallet to have the ETHEREUM. MEW, Jaxx, Coinomi, Metamask, Coinbase and etc.

Myetherwallet safe wallet. But you must be careful. In my opinion, using Ledger is the safest.I use Ledger.Still, my wallet is not hacked. However, it is safe to use metamask.
MEW is safe if you are responsible the way you use it. But if you are like those people who's been a victim of phishing then you might blame MEW for being unsafe, this is what they say about it.

Ledger or Trezor is the safest so far, desktop wallets as well as long as you hold the private keys.
Theres no such safety wallet would completely guarantee give you out the best protection and as said you are responsible on its safety because wallets can anytime be hacked if you don't know how to keep those
informations safe or away from other people. MEW is the most common ETH wallet and there are others as well like hardware but when we do talk about security then it would be just the same because you are keeping important informations between wallets.

In fact, there are a lot of hardware wallet, recently made a hardware wallet, the Korean company HDAC and i found very successful. I think the most secure hardware wallets

hdac? hmm , never heard of them before but i see that it came from korea .  based on my experience , korean build is not really durable when compared to us or japan brands , thats why i wouldnt suggest getting them if you are aiming for the quality over the value .  but still , hardware wallets are still the best option when compare to online wallets if are curious about your security .

I make use of Trezors it's very reliable,  but a friend of mine said he's been using Imtoken wallet app for quite a long time, he said that it's OK,  but Trezors is cool for me,  u can also use  mew but mew is not that safe and secure according to some information I read here in this forum

to save ETH I only use metamask, but if I want to be safe. it's better to save it on an exchange account. on the Exchange account, install an authenticator or mobile phone number, so I think it will be very safe to save it on the exhange or market account.
