For me, a stable source of income is my job. Investing in crypto-currencies and gambling simply brings me additional and not always stable income. I do not recommend giving up the main job because of bitcoin.

The only thing I know about the best way for steady income is you probably know how to manage your income. You don't need to invest it all or even you gamble it all, you don't need to trade it all just make some of your strategy just to make sure it will steady. Like if you have btc and you need to manage it for you to make it steady invest your 30%, gamble your 10% and 10% for trading let the 50% left in your wallet.
That is not a serious suggestion, if you really want to have a stable income then for sure you will take out that
gambling in your plan list. It might just ruin everything as in most cases we lose more often than we win.

I am a worker and follow bitcoin for now can not be made a permanent job for me. Because I think if you want to make bitcoin into my work then I should focus on the development of bitcoin. But I might someday focus on bitcoin because it is already a lot of people who have everything in mauya by doing a fixed job in bitcoin
I will slightly disagree with you.  Doing trading with bitcoins can be taken as a permanent job. Bitcoins trading is just like doing a business. Rather more convenient than running business with paper money. Bitcoins can earn you more than your imaginations just by sitting at home.

There are really good cryptocurrency traders out there that are doing this for a living. They are able to manage not only their bankroll and mitigate their losses, they also good at managing their emotions. I think we need to work hard to equip ourselves the right knowledge and skills of trading Bitcoin if we really want to choose to do this for a living.

Bitcoin is not ideal for a steady income. Bitcoin a highly volatile instrument with high upside and downside as well. For a steady income on investment stocks, bonds and ETF-s would be better. Alternatively, peer-to-peer lending seems to be taking off. Also, generic interest in banks would work as well but they are quite low at this time.
You could also invest a business, but make sure you trust the people in that case as there is no guarantee in that case.

there are really different type of investors: some really loves highly volatile investment like bitcoin and forex, and they are able to profit big on this kind of investment; there are also type of investors that do good with stocks and not on forex. So, better know where you are comfortable investing with and where you gain more and capitalize on it.

Hello All,

What you think is the best investment to gain steady income in btc without actively doing anything?
So no trading/gambling/loaning etc.

Steady income more likely to be 'small & secure' than 'big & risky'.

Thanks,
BR Oinas
Investing in bitcoins does not bring a steady income; if you have a steady income, you can invest in bitcoin that can help you earn a large income depending on the amount of bitcoin you invest.

Well, earning a steady income is different than investment, especially invest on bitcoin that have unstable price. Open a shop in real life using bitcoin as the payment is a good one actually, but you need to encourage people to use bitcoin in your area first. If you can do that, i'm sure you can earn steady income with bitcoin because you don't have any competitor in your area.

That's wayyyy more effort to just open up a regular shop. Are you sure that your shop will come booming simply because you're the only one accepting bitcoins? That's just a different currency, AFAIK it's the product that people are after. With your logic, if I start accepting dollars in my shop, people will start falling in line just to buy something from me. This even saves me the time of explaining to them about the currency since everyone knows about dollars.

Your idea is absurd. Encouraging people alone to use bitcoins is a lot of effort. You're not even sure if these same people would buy products from you and be a loyal customer. Let's say that your store becomes popular somehow because you accept bitcoins. It's only a matter of time until the neighboring stores start accepting bitcoins.

You've got a point there mate. Unless you are offering a good and valuable service to your customers, any form of payments doesn't really matter at all because they will going to fnd ways to but your product or subscribe to your servecice.
You are right here every one want good quality to buy something before buying the costumer must ask you about the quality of those goods so to start something good you should provide fine quality to the costumer.

Making money from bitcoin I think it's hard to find a stable income job. The best way to get a stable income is to participate in a signature campaign. In the bitcoin economy, if you are not actively doing anything but still earning money, I think none of that happens. You want to have a steady income you should actively work.

Also, when we diversify not only our investment but also our source of income is a good way to have a stable income. Stable income should not mean fixed income - it should be having money income flow in a stable manner regardless of its amount provided that its amount can cover our expenses and other needs as well.

Yes stable income means not fixed income, but we can make fixed income with joining any signature campaign. This should be fixed income if you work hard. And other incomes are not fixed it depends on business we can earn bitcoins. In trading also we can not make a stable income. But in a freelance job, you can make a stable income.

At present it can be a source of steady income but in near future it wouldn't. I would say get in touch with some best investment advisers and check how you can earn more before it loses its popularity.

If you don't want to trade, gamble or to loan, you must need to find a stable job so you can also have a  stable income.  Grin

That would be the best thing to do since we cannot assure that we can get steady income on this industry since mostly all of us here just earn on luck basis. And eventhough you are in great  sig campaign existing around you cannot assure that it would last for so long and surely all sig camps has ending date so for us to not be broke much better really if we have a offline job since it can give us steady income for lifetime basis.
That's true, stable job is the best way to have a stable income, and I am sure that we can all find a stable job especially when you have a loving family and you want to give their needs. All of us also need to know the difference of needs and wants so that our budget will also not destroy when it comes in expenses.  Grin So if you really want to break you budget then find a Job that is higher income that is what you expected.

That's really a big task, because very few localities around the world has got large number of people who were aware about bitcoin and other digital currencies. Even there are failure with big giants, one such is Expedia who started accepting bitcoin and in a short stopped the service which is just because they haven't got profit as they calculated.

Well mining btc would fit your descrption there dude as after you've met all requirements for a mining system, you should  pretty well have passive income all the way. Well aside from maintenance, which isn't really that much of a hassle.

I'll just buy a lot of bitcoins everytime the market is down.
When it's up I don't sell.
I just save.
Then I'll just buy another one during the next drop.
I'm going long term though and I'm not a fan on day trading.

Because I have other stuffs to take care of.
Basically I just stack my coins and save for the later.
Hoping that btc wont crash in thr future
What you are doing is good but it does not the answer of the question on how to get a steady income.
Investing in crypto does not really offer steady income due to market volatility and anytime pump and dump will happen
and what you have been fearing of might also happen which is a market crash.
I'm very much optimistic with the future of bitcoin but we cannot deny anything could also happen, including things we do not want to see.
