@hallroom, you're completely out of what OP is asking. He's not asking to buy some shitcoins out there.
He's asking about the privacy coins that he wants to invest and how to retain his anonymity despite that desire of buying it.
That's because there's an issue right now with privacy coins that are being taken down by the government and delisted in exchanges.

Hey, I'm just starting out, what's the best way to get a hold of privacy coins completely anonymously?
As your username implies, it might be that you like Ethereum. Ethereum is also a good decentralized coin so you can invest in it. Though they are decentralized projects in the cryptocurrency market. Eloncoin too is a decentralized/private cryptocurrency that is good to invest  but it has not listed in centralized exchanges but this is the best time to invest in that project. Then another one I can also recommend for you is Bitcoin and Monero. If you are interested to invest in any of these coins then go ahead. And if there is money you can invest in all of them.

If you want to invest then definitely invest in a trusted coin. If you like Altcoin then you can choose Eth coin, Dogecoin, Shiba Inu Coin investment. Investing in these coins offers maximum benefits and many trusted ones have been in the market for a long time. The only benefit to be gained is to choose such coins from the market to invest.

2. Im feeling if p2p market is also a bit complicated these days caused by it's not a lot of people are using privacy coins actively..

You’d be lucky to be able to find someone willing to sell their privacy coins, yes.

It’s getting quite complicated buying and using privacy coins because the government is constantly tampering down on it. They definitely do not want any of their citizens having access to privacy coins. I have seen many articles luring you in with a promise of teaching you how to buy privacy coins but then will point you to exchanges with KYC.

Does that make any sense? why would i buy a privacy coin in an exchange with KYC. These people are also scared and wary of the government it seems like.

I think there is no way to hold coins completely anonymously, you have to provide some information then. XMR can be the best in this case you can keep the information of fiat money of your country secret.

Check kycnot.me, choose the exchange you want to use.

You need to know if not many users can enjoy complete privacy because privacy isn't only when you deposit your money, trade and withdraw your coins. But it start from using privacy oriented Operation System, not Windows or Mac. Then you need to use privacy oriented browsers, not Chrome or Mozilla. Also don't trapped using services that might be a honeypot like VPN.

@OP, everything has been mentioned on how to do it. There's gotta be a harder time this time thanks to the authorities cracking everything down.

However, if you already have some stable coins or major coins like Bitcoin and Ethereum why not try Exch to buy XMR and make sure to hold it on a wallet that supports Tor that makes your wallet untraceable, and anonymous.
If not the best, this is one of the best to be able to purchase XMR from being anonymous.

do it outside a centralized exchange.
There are still centralized exchanges where it is listed but what's sad if someone doesn't want to take that hassle, they'd go there.

I don't think there is the best but I think the only option to completely buy privacy coin is to use P2P and non-KYC exchange like others mentioned above.

Hey, I'm just starting out, what's the best way to get a hold of privacy coins completely anonymously?
The most difficult step is always to go from fiat to a cryptocurrency of your choice, as once you have a few coins which have never been linked to your real identity then you can pick one of the many methods that exist to get a privacy coin and then do whatever you want with it, while making sure to never link your real identity to those coins either, personally I would think the best way to go from fiat to a cryptocurrency would be with a peer to peer exchange that you do face to face, as in this way you leave as little clues as possible online, but that is just what I think.

do it outside a centralized exchange. somehow if you buy privacy coins from an exchange where you already submitted KYC means you just defeat the purpose of being anonymous.

1. buy BTC from someone in the forum.
2. go to the dex
3. deposit your BTC and buy XMR if they have it listed and then withdraw.

Monero is the "best" privacy coin around, and since you didn't mention the privacy coin you want to buy, i would advise you buy Monero. Now as to how you can get it anonymously, definitely not in a centralized exchange as you have to pass KYC, you'd have to buy Monero in a decentralized exchange, and bisq is a great option.

That being said you can swap bitcoin or another coin for Monero in a NON-KYC instant exchange, E.G exch.cx.

Hey, I'm just starting out, what's the best way to get a hold of privacy coins completely anonymously?

Simple answer. Purchased it on DEX since you don’t have any account in there while you are purchasing tokens from exchange liquidity pool coming from different users that provides liquidity in there.

Just avoid centralized exchange then you are good to go in terms of privacy since you are purchasing privacy coin itself that will hide your transaction publicly.

Determine what kind of privacy coin you wants to purchase then find a trusted DEX that offers this kind of coin.

Want complete privacy?

Buy the coins using Fiat via decentralized p2p like Bisq, and then there is robosats.
The most popular coin is XMR.

You can use XMR to exchange for other privacy coins

Using a centralized exchange to buy and sell privacy coins makes no sense IMO

Those swaps that promotes anonymity and privacy, it is said that they are not keeping records. But the problem, even they are like that, they cannot skip the regulators.
So while they are there like exch, you buy through them but I hope that they wont be taken down by the authorities.

Hey, I'm just starting out, what's the best way to get a hold of privacy coins completely anonymously?

Most of the privacy coins are delisted from global exchanges, so you can try and look if it's available in any exchange where no KYC is required. Still, I guess not much option there so it leaves to DEX where also the liquidity for most privacy coins are close to zero. In contrast, XMR like and others are still surviving with the p2p exchanges shutting down operations then I expect liquidity on DEX for privacy coins will likely to increase.

This is going to totally depend on what privacy coin you want to buy and what country you're in.

The general answer though would be through peer-to-peer. Not sure which exchanges support P2P trades of the likes of XMR/ZEC though. The alternative is to buy through some shady exchange that doesn't require AML/KYC.

Also note: it's not really possible to buy "completely anonymously".

1. If you are willing to get it through anon way then just go to the p2p market.

Those are list for xmr

The better if you are going to the exchange site. I think that withdrawing from there will be also keeping your privacy. There are still some non KYC exchange sites listed there. it must be so complicated just to buy and use it for your own purposes.

Well today I do not think we can buy the privacy coins in full privacy. If we buy Monero, Dash, or Zcash then we will need to give our personal information.
A log time ago I was buying Monero coin for the privacy. But that was before there is more regulation and the exchanges want to know our information to buy them. I do not think privacy coins have the same meaning as it did back then.

Hey, I'm just starting out, what's the best way to get a hold of privacy coins completely anonymously?

The first step would be to find specifically what kind of privacy coin you want to buy as this will determine how you will go about this process. I would tell you to to find an exchange (obviously decentralized) where your wanted coin is listed.

There are p2p exchanges you could use to purchase privacy coins for example Bisq. Again research about the coin you want to buy and make sure it is available in the exchange. Do your own research as well about the exchange as different exchanges offer different options and conditions.

You can then proceed to hold your privacy coin in a wallet.

Hey, I'm just starting out, what's the best way to get a hold of privacy coins completely anonymously?

That depends on which privacy coin you are looking to buy. Not many of them are listed on non kyc exchange but XMR is still being traded on MEXC global which is still a non kyc exchange. If you are interested in buying monero then you can use MEXC for now.
