i think i have heard of this wirex thing before . you said you will be recieving bitcoin so it means that its a card that convert fiat to btc and you can just used this card on any atm or btc atm to withdraw funds ?   does that work like that  ?   you want to know how to earn btc outside the crypto world  ? i dont know if thats possible but you will be earning  fiat  if you work outside the btc world  . you can only earn btc inside the crypto world or works related to crypto   . to bring or attract users you can just talk and advertise btc to them  .

Through exchange or conversion we can bring bitcoin to non-crypto users. Definitely if you have obligations or bills to pay there are lots of sites and apps to do it. Exchange your btc to local fiat to pay to your friend who have no crypto currencies. Basically, its through money transfer from a conversion. You cannot give crypto to non-crypto users unless they want to have one.

Honestly, I have never used Bitcoin or altcoin to do transactions directly related to the real world. Because in my country it is still taboo and not yet common, and in my opinion it is also more effective to use fiat, either directly or bank transfer. For me, cryptocurrency is more effectively used as a commodity trade and investment tool, so for payment I prefer fiat.
A reason why Bitcoin is still hard to use outside crypto world is because we still lack of adoption. Not everyone knew about it so it's so hard to find one that will accept Bitcoin in real world. In reality, fiat is still more convenient since it is being used by everyone. No struggle to look for others who will accept fiat because everyone does. But if ever Bitcoin will be widely known, it will become easier to use it as a day to day transactions
crypto adoption is indeed not much because it is done in stages and also sometimes hindered by regulations. so to this extent we may only be able to provide small amounts of knowledge, so that if crypto is widely adopted later they will understand it. at least we help to build crypto ecosystems

I just ordered the Wirex card and hope to get it soon. The idea is to receive crypto (Bitcoin) by doing stuff that I would be doing anyway.

What other ways do you know to receive / earn Bitcoin for everyday stuff outside of the crypto world that could bring Bitcoin and other crypto directly to users for them to spend?

Setting up a shop that accepts Bitcoin, or offering non-crypto client a discount if they pay in Bitcoin.  I believe this kind strategy will encourage other people to pay in cryptocurrency.  Other than working and that, there is nothing I can think of.

I see, this topic and questions fall into the scope of bitcoin market adoption. For me, if we want to cycle bitcoin for us to induce market adoption is to start and begin it with ourselves. Just make the most out of bitcoin and let people see some glimpse of the profit you have, in the human mind, they tend to believe what they see espeicially if they can see they can earn money from it. Make it slow, help them to engage in bitcoin by introducing it in ways it could help them in practical purposes such as buying prepaid load, paying bills and much more.

Same here mate, though cryptocurrencies are not illegal in my countries still there are no physical store that would accept cryptocurrencies as payment so I need to convert it into our local currency just to use it. But now that this technology are gradually becoming a trend government or some business might consider to accept crypto as payment for their products or service.
I can't bring bitcoin to be legal transaction because my country always think bad with bitcoin and not legal using bitcoin as currency digital payment, many people have been use bitcoin in my country for trading and investing, they have announce to public with bitcoin and make public discussion about advantage of bitcoin but still always reject by government to legal bitcoin transaction.

It is a reality that you cannot influence easily other people to use cryptocurrencies. At first my friends do not listen to what I said to them before but when I grow my capital in trading, they start to became interested to cryptocurrencies. Showing the proofs and evidences of your earnings can help you to influence other people to study and use cryptocurrencies. They will eager and encourage to learn if you will do that.

OWNR - Store all crypto in one app.
Best way for us to invite those non-crypto users, is to know make a survey what makes them interested, conducting seminars will be a good one, for example, having a seminar on how to earn part time thru cryptocurrency, this way we will catch up their attention and they will be interested in attending seminars.

We do have a lot of opportunity and it depends on the person how we wanted this to grab, but as a crypto user concern, we wanted the mass adoption, so we should help in a little way.
Its indeed a great idea and as far as I know, there are some seminars about cryptocurrency and blockchain in my country which is an amazing way to introduced bitcoin and give people some idea what is a digital currency and how does it work. I think it will work because I can see that bitcoin is getting adopted and accepted by a hospital and some stores and used it as a payment which means that the adoption is getting better. We can't force them and I agree that it's up to them if they are going to grab the chance to be enlighten about the possible benefits that they can get from it because cryptocurrency changed our life into a better one so I think they can also see it's capabilities and how it can be advantageous to them.

I know I'll get a lot of backlash but I think that FaceBook's Libra Project is pegged to take mass adoption by storm. FaceBook and it's partners, Occulus Rift/ Instagram/ WhatsApp make Facebook the largest social media platform in the world. If congress were to give Mark Zuckerberg the green light to go ahead with the launch of Libra platform, the cryptocurrency sector as we know it could rapidly change.
All of the sudden the world over would be educated about cryptocurrency thanks to the Libra platform. Eventual those Libra users will trickle down into other crypto related projects and communities, so on and so forth. The market would naturally get a boost in growth. Bitcointalk would be flooded with new users like never before. Everyone will want in as the forum experiences a booming surge in traffic. If you thought people were complaining about bounty standards and low ball pay as of now, wait until there aren't any left to complain about  Roll Eyes

What I don't understand about how Facebook is proceeding with Libra:
Why don't they separate the currency Libra from the payment system Calibra, deploy Calibra into the Facebook apps and allow people to pay for all the things using other cryptocurrencies? This would dramatically foster adoption.

In a separate (and more complex step) they could create the Libra coin (which is what they're getting regulatory backlash for) and rule the world with their new monetary system or whatever...
I can see where you're heading and that's quite a good idea. But Facebook wouldn't accept that because there is no way that is going to benefit them, lol. Just look at Libra: it's going to be a coin that is owned and controlled by Facebook and lots of companies will be buying into it and that means Facebook will be making a profit from it.

I don't think any company will have time for something that is not beneficial to them unless they are doing it for charity. If they should deploy just Calibra into Facebook then it's basically a wallet and they will just be promoting other cryptocurrencies that are not theirs and they wouldn't be benefiting from it in any way.

First, adoption will play a very great role in this as people who has been willing to use cryptocurrency before and scared because of these government that are not friendly with it will definitely loosened up and be encourage to free partake in activities that has to do with cryptocurrency like this one you chose to use.

You are probably able to do that because you live in a country that is really not bothered about the use of cryptocurrency by their merchants, but in my country, many of us that would have been accepting bitcoin as means of payment are very scared that the government could come for us as they are fully against the use of it for now. If there can be adoption of cryptocurrency, I am sure that there will be more merchants like you to do the same thing.

Knowledge is the only and the best way to bring Bitcoin to non crypto users.  Knowledge presents the element of making people to know and understand what bitcoin is and its relevance to people and entire financial ecosystem. Knowledge prevents the spread of FUDs since people are aware of the true nature and purpose of Bitcoin. It is the essential tool for civilization.  Knowledge makes it easier for non crypto users to identify the similarities betwee Bitcoin and the traditional system of payment and the benefits Bitcoin has over the traditional system of payment...
There are actually lots of ways you can do for you to bring information or knowledge to a non-crypto users. First of all, you can use the social media platform in which there are bulks of people using social media, we all know that there are different kinds of social media sites that you can use for you to be able to spread the goodness of bitcoin. You can use facebook since facebook is now adopting the cryptocurrency and they are creating their own. It is good because maybe they can earn libra and in the meantime by using crypto like that they will know more about cryptocurrency especially bitcoin, which is the most used cryptocurrency of all.

If they get some crypto for stuff they do anyway that's a much better way of introducing crypto / Bitcoin to average people.

and who is going to pay you for things you already do? and what is he benefit in it for them to pay you?!
what you are saying sounds more like one of those micropayment jobs you usually see advertised on the internet which are a complete waste of time and could even infect your computer if you follow their instructions including visiting random sites! they advertise it like "things you already do" then you see you have to do mundane tasks for long hours to make a cent!

One of the examples is Wirex, where you get a cashback for all your purchases with the credit / debit card in Bitcoin. There are other credit cards with cashback systems, but also a lot of credit cards without.
I know this travelcard that accepts Visa payments. They are offering a seamless spending of fiat and cryptocurrency with their application. What I like about this one is that they don't ask for conversion fee whenever you are trying to pay in different currency like usd to ringgit, usd to hkd etc.

Another example is Lolli, a cashback system for online purchases that pays in Bitcoin.
Beware with cashback system they might not be the best deal you could have, like their partner shop is overpricing than the other and what you are getting as a cashback is just an illusion. Also try not to use a lot of these application, since it is an extension, cookie trail might confuse itself to the point that it can't track the online purchases.

Another feasible way to bring in a mass adoption that is guaranteed to pass within congress would be for Federally backed (Fiat) banks and other institutions of that caliber to go right ahead and start initiating into their own journeys with blockchain tech. There are so many Blockchain based projects cropping up offering new consensus algorithms, and betters ways to scale, etc,. If the Banks want to play catch up with the latest innovations in fincnial tech, they'll need to work into and integrate their networks with their own modify versions of Blockchians and issue their own modified crypto-currencies.

IBM is claiming that the integration of Bank & Blockchain technology will happen within a frame of 5 years.

teach them so that they can understand what blockchain, bitcoin , altcoin and cryptocurrency is really all about, in that case you may bring them to this world , study trading with them together so that trading would be easy if there is someone eager like you to know more about crypto, telling them that they can be rich in this world could be the worst thing you will do to convinced them.

Microtasks could be a thing, but there you have to explicitly do something you probably wouldn't otherwise do.

But in general the fact that I can't come up with more examples is the precise reason why I'm posting this question ;-)

I am kinda sad that a decade after Bitcoin came into this world, people are still asking where they can get Bitcoin in exchange for the things they can do. The gigs economy that uses Bitcoin should have been big by now but unfortunately the whole thing failed to take off. Fiverr should have added cryptocurrency as one of the choices to pay and get paid but it has not. This big question is driving at the heart of the problem when it comes to the adoption in the grassroots for Bitcoin. We have to be honest in saying that there is a failure in here, and which I am hoping can soon be fixed.

Wirex may not be working globally and even if it does not all countries will have many merchants participating in the cash back program not unless Wirex is going to be establishing a real presence in each country. Microtasks sites that deal with Bitcoin failed to get critical number of clients and maybe they can be closing soon or shifting their focus from cryptocurrency back to the traditional way of payments. Microtasks should have been the best way for many people to acquire Bitcoin but I still have to see one that is really making a good volume of business.

Exactly!

As with every other network, there's always two sides: supply and demand. On the supply side, you want to keep entry barriers as low as possible. Microtasks might have been a good start, but they also just reach a very specific group of people; that's why I'm interested in things that are actually understandable and usable for everyone (like a debit card) and provide extra Bitcoin (or other crypto) as a "side-effect".

In addition to the education aspect, mass adoption of services like Wirex and Lolli would lead to an increased demand for Bitcoin as they need to buy BTC on the market with actual fiat that they are processing.
