Best Experience:
- I got to learn about bitcoin, the transactions, wallets and how the protocol works. Bitcoin is the best thing that happened to me alongside a few Altcoins especially when it comes to transactions. 90% of my transactions to other service providers and people are in crypto. I no longer have to suffer with the slow expensive international wire transfers and getting attached to institutional thugs (banks)

- Also learnt how to trade, it has been earning me some decent side income

- Made about $22K in ICOs back in 2017 just from a mere $1000

Worst Experience:
The bear market that followed. Who can ever for get that crush if you were from 2016, 2017?  Cheesy

Worst Experience: My worst experience was on my first few months when I got into cryptocurrency. And that was when I really into those altcoins that is really shitcoins.

Best Experience: Buying more Bitcoins and converted my altcoins to Bitcoins. And I never regret with that decision. I'm happy now compare before when having a problem everytime my altcoins get dumped.

Best experience[/font]: 2017 Bull run immediately made me a huge profit in my entire career. That's was the best thing happen to me. Just one day of bull run.

Bad Experience: Just lost the profit and capital right after the bulls run. Binance having issues on selling due to overload of orders. Then the bear market came in for a year. Almost hopeless but still trying to recover.

What I noticed is that all bad users experiences are caused by scam exchanges/projects or because the user don't have enough knowledge about this technology.
The worst thing that happened to me was when I sold all my coins then the next day their price rose by more than 20%

My best experience was finding this forum and learning about cryptocurrencies. I bought some Bitcoins in 2016 and then did some great moves:
Claimed some giveaways and airdrops that gave me a lot of profit like Stellar. Gor a lot of Bitcoin dividends including BCH BTG XLM and BSV and turned them all to Bitcoin. Traded Bitcoin in the bull run of 2017. Those were some great experiences.

My worst experience was buying some shitcoins like Lisk but it made me smarter.

Best experience: When eth hard fork had happened I had made some good amount of profit from that and now after joining bitcoin talk try to gain some knowledge from the experts.

Bad experience:  Last year I had used some shitty stellar wallet while exchanging my coins the exchange had already send the coins but I never received those coins try to reach out to them but there is no help from their side. So I learned from my mistake blindly don't believe in any wallet service.

My best experience was the last bull market at that time I am new to the crypto and made some decent profits as well.

My worst experiences was wrong send, the amount is not too high to be much worried but I send tokens to an ethereum address of an exchange and from that only I learned more about how the wallet and exchange works.

Worst experience: I used constantly Cobinhood exchange during the last 2 years. A few months ago Cobinhood became a scam, people cannot widthraw their funds, Telegram chat is blocked and their token (COB) felt to near zero. I always believed this exchange will come back to life, I constantly refused to see the signs indicating it's scam potential and now I'm still stuck there with a few hundred bucks that I won't see them back most probably.

This history repeats itself over and over again with so many different exchanges around the globe. Simple put, don't keep any funds in exchanges. Buy, move to your wallet. Want to sell? Transfer to exchange, sell, withdrawal fiat. Wanna buy again? Transfer fiat to exchange.
I don't understand why people keep funds in those exchanges.

Well, this is a good discussion to know newbies of what we have done in crypto. You may limit the page and lock if necessary because this might be caused by magnetic spam and redundant replies.

Best Experienced: I had learned a lot in crypto space. Before I did not listen to international news but now I am always looking at it. My whole life was changed from almost nothing when it comes to financial assistance but now I always have extra money. My best experienced is those days bitcoin hit around $20k in the market back then year 2017 and I purchased my new car come from my crypto savings.

Bad Experienced: When I keep holding from 2017 until now I did not recover my lose yet and also there are too many projects from bounty hunting I had joined but all of them are into scam projects.

Best experience: Sold some airdropped tokens at ATH or close to it. That was just hundreds and even a thousand $$$ out of thin air.

Worst experience: Unable to sell some "quality" tokens that were airdropped in 2017 thinking it would go even higher in 2018. Add also those scam and failed bounty campaigns I joined.

Your best experience before is ok at that time but right now most of the bounties are scam just like what I did and join to some bounties a few months ago but they still have no value and still not yet listed to any exchange. It's different compared to 2017 I have few altcoins worth 5k USD when the price is increased in January 2018 the worst part is I didn't sell them because I did not know that I have that altcoin. The coin called Raiblocks I earn them by captcha sold some of them but in low value. I just noticed that last March 2019 there is a wallet in my desktop but when I open the wallet it's not syncing and not showing any balance so I decided to check their announcement and found they just rebranded to nano so I installed the wallet and all my funds is there but last march the price of nano is very cheap but still I sold them at 1k+ in USD.

I think it would be helpful for the beginners to hear about good and bad experiences in crypto from people with more experience on this forum.

I will start sharing my best and worst experiences since I joined BitcoinTalk.

Best experience: I joined the Cube (Auto) bounty as a French translator in late 2017. After receiving my coins I was able to sell them for almost 1 Btc.

Advise for beginners (and not only): NEVER (but never) invest in crypto more than you can afford to lose.

What are your best and worst experiences in crypto?
