Probably a good idea to go with Fairlay?

But betting exchanges for whatever reason aren't very popular with gamblers in the cryptospace.

There are also other alternatives but their volumes are a joke and the spreads on each one are crazy. Might be good for market makers.
I am also kind of surprised by the lack of popularity of betting exchanges compared to the popularity of regular casinos, however for some reason the preference of those that gamble using cryptocurrencies seem to be more aligned with simple games like slots and dice, instead of games in which you can actually shape the result that you can get as it is the case of poker and other gambling games, however I think that as adoption increases this will change and we will see a new wave of users choosing those games and increasing their popularity and their volume in a significant way.

Back in the days Betfair was allowed in my country I used to do a lot of sportsbook bet trading but since it has been forbidden I haven't found any other real good alternatives. I was wondering if any of you guys know any Sports bet trading crypto site similar to Betfair?

Fairlay and Futuur come to mind.

If you have large volume you could potentially even create your markets on the forum or on your own site. This space is ready for disruption.

But if you're just playing for fun perhaps it's best to just use a bookie directly?

I disagree. There are several great FIAT betting exchanges like Smarkets, Matchbook, Betdaq etc. However, you are right about the part about crypto betting exchanges.

A lot of European countries used to have access to the other betting exchanges you've mentioned.
That is not the case anymore.
They seem to be exclusive now only to the UK & Ireland.

Plus, stories that they also banned winners just highlight the fact that they seed their own exchanges (instead of the regular punters)

Betfair is owned by Paddy Power. Also, Paddy Power owns some casinos in different countries, some of them you may don't even know. There are many brands under the ownership of Paddy Power and check them. Also, I want to include the link of mergers and acquisitions in the gambling industry and use this list to find paddy power owned casino. Here is the link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_mergers_and_acquisitions_in_online_gambling

On another hand, similar good casinos in crypto industry are:
1. Stake.com
2. Sportsbet.io
3. Bitcasino.io
4. Playbetr.com <-- is a new but they have partnered with PSG
This is a good list and to OP would you mind to share your country because those sites might also be restricted in your place since this is owned by the same company.

You can also try to Bet on Rollbit, there's a lot of options there and not an ordinary betting sites since they have exchange as well. This might work with you OP, have a try and read their terms of service to confirm if you can play.

You should read what OP is asking, these sportsbook are good but it's not what OP is asking, he is looking for a betting exchange and I have already seen the answer which was shared by ralle14.

Of these websites are working and I'm sure he knows because he is very active in gambling section particularly on the betting sites.

Here's the list of betting exchanges from Peeps' sportsbook thread. I haven't tried them all but I think Fairlay is the best out of them all and probably the closest to Betfair since they offer a wide range of sports. The only thing that sucks is their withdrawal fee ($25~) but it can still go down ($12~) if you earn enough vip points.

Except if kyc is made mandatory for deposit and withdrawal, I think VPN will help you mask behind an address where you location will be hidden and play smoothly but if kyc is needed, I'm afraid you have to search for an alternative.
I do not think that most gambling websites will allow people to use VPN unless they ask directly to the support system.

But most people who use crypto do not like to fills KYC because that is related to their privacy.

They will prefer to be anonymous when they use the internet.

You people advising him to try other "casinos" or sites like stake and so on are totally missing the point.

He is looking for a betting exchange and not a bookie/casino site.

I doubt if they even checked the heading twice, from review, betting exchanges are sometimes better because of the odds are better for customers.
Maybe he does not come back here and read all of our suggestions. If he cares about what he wants, he should come back and ask or tell what he already tried or other things related to his question.

KYC is mandatory in Betfair based on my research. Your suggestion regarding VPN usage is a bad one since a popular site like Betfair can easily detect its usage which could cause the punter problems later on.

but unfortunately there is no website fiat or crypto that is close to betfair.

Betting exchanges are attractive because of this, a sport book will give you a line and you have to decide if you take it or leave it, you can also wait and see if it improves, however in a betting exchange you can take the side of the casino and lay the odds that you like and someone could accept them, so if you do really know a lot about odds and how to price certain matches you could win an advantage and even become profitable, but unfortunately there is no website fiat or crypto that is close to betfair.

If I was you I would have a look at https://betinasia.com This is a broker service. I had the same problem. Betfair got restricted in my country and also had to look for other options. Betinasia offer orbitX through their broker service.

So basically you open an account with betinasia and pass their kyc procedure. After depositing min €100 you can get an orbitx account. But the account is not on your name but it's one of 100s of their broker accounts they have with multiple bookies. And biggest advantage of using orbitx through betinasia. orbitX is powered by betfair. So it uses the same liquidity on the markets as betfair. So you will never have any issues with liquidity.

other advantage is that betinasia allows BTC, ETH and LTC deposits

If I was you I would get more into that. cause there are some crypto betting exchanges but most of them lack in liquidity or do not offer in play trading or cash outs.
I disagree. This isn't a bad recommendation, but most crypto gamblers don't prefer providing their KYC and going though this lengthy process in my opinion. Some even fear losing their funds for various shady reasons to such brokers.

Betting in Fairlay is way better in comparison since they don't require KYC and their liquidities are decent too based on my experience with them in recent years.

I am using betinasia for 2 years now and always received my withdrawals same day as requested. They have no reason to hold your funds cause such broker services have deals with all bookies and make a percentage on all bets placed through their broker accounts.

And if OP has used betfair in the past then I do not think he has a problem with kyc verification. As betfair sometimes also requests some id and POA verification
Well this might looks okay but don't you think the stress in passing through all these processes you have mentioned earlier could be flag off when op is looking for no kyc verification platform that is has honest as Betfair. Although this is cool for me but I don't know if he will be cool with kyc verification betinasia.

No crypto betting exchange can be compared with Betfair which is in some other league in comparison.

I agree with all your points and am not saying that this site is shady or anything. Am simply pointing out the fact that many crypto gamblers would find it tough to believe brokers even if they are completely legit.

Also, if op doesn't have any issues providing his KYC to this site, this is the best option. However, if he is reluctant to provide his KYC, Fairlay is the best option(Pinnacle odds and decent liquidity).

Thanks for your answer. This is what I was looking for. Fairlay, looks like the one with the most volume but I'm not too fan of the interface. Exbet, on the other hand, looks about right. Pretty similar to Betfair and it even allows us to connect Sports betting software such as Geektoys through API. The only downside of Exbet is that you can only use BTC. As for Sportx, it allows betting directly from your wallet using Ethereum. Would be great they could implement other protocols such as BSC or Polygon. As for Degens, it doesn't look much appealing and doesn't have enough volume.

While casinos are extremely popular in the market of cryptocurrencies there has not being the same excitement over betting exchanges, some years ago I used fairlay and they were good enough but as you may guess the problem is the volume, so if you are looking to make big bets it is likely you are not going to find what you are looking for, also another issue is that it is likely the majority of those using it are decent at pricing the odds unlikely what happens in betfair, in which there is so much volume that a great deal of volume comes from people that do not know about odds and stuff like that so you can get advantage of it.

indeed. I just suggested him to take a look at betinasia.com it's a broker service where you can use a broker account. I got restricted on betfair myself when I moved back to Belgium. But through Betinasia I can trade sports on orbitX (which is powered by betfair BTW) So it is exactly the same liquidity. Only disadvantage of orbitX is that they have a higher minimum betsize and they do not offer lay bets on horses if I remember well. But I only use it for football and tennis anyway

you can transfer funds from your BIA  (Betinasia wallet) to your broker accounts in minutes

 disadvantage.
as per agreement with betfair orbitx is not allowed to offer lay bets on horses. all other sports you can back or lay.

my suggestion do not use the inplay cash out button but always green manually. noticed that cash out in play sometimes takes a while

Excuse me, but i don`t see any problem. There are a lot of offers at this board for all purposes. And there is no info in what country Betfair was banned. No information, no work with board. What answers do you want to get? And why didn`t you read other threads before created yours?
I have read it somewhere that this forum user cannot access the site anymore. I'm thinking you might have the same problem with the person I mentioned. As far as I know, same sites are also suggested like stake, sportsbet and many more. Maybe op will find a betting exchange in local but if its sports betting then those sites are good suggestions.
