I am not doing anything suspicious - just betting on a few football matches that seem like they are profitable, and I am betting from Ireland where it is legal.
Has anyone experienced this before - really don't want to have to give my personal details across to a gambling company!!

I only withdrawed a lot lower amounts than you so they didn't ask for my KYC but as the support agent has stated they always have the right to ask it. This is not only valid for Betfury but for all major crypto casino sites.
They are legit so I wouldn't worry to do KYC on Betfury.
he is a new player and he is asking to withdraw quite a handsome amount. it may indeed trigger from the betfury side to ask kyc. as a licensed casino, they have their terms & conditions about this, read item 5.15 of their terms and conditions , as they can do random checks. also i hope you are not below 18 as they can freeze your funds.
btw, @pfhismgrpg, have you read their terms before sending money to betfury? it is a licensed casino so no surprise that they will ask kyc if they think something unusual to the account. you should have withdrawn small amount and not one-time withdrawal of big amount. because i think, that triggers their system.
