This certainly looks like a scam. I challenge anyone to disprove the following statements, and I'll apologise profusely if anyone can prove me wrong.

The Beth Team is listed here: https://beth.jp/

SEIJI YOSHIZAKI - Is NOT actually a a professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Kyushu, as claimed. He may not even exist.

HAYATO TAKANO - The image above this name is not the businessman of the same name.

KOYAMA HIDEYUKI - Is not a computer scientist of note, and has no published papers.

HIDEMASA KUWAE - Is not a known blockchain developer with any online presence.

If you can't disprove the above statements, then why would you invest?

More information would be nice indeed. It's hard to find information on them, especially since most of it is in Japanese.

But the registrar is clearly named anonymousspeech.com, which should have been more then clear that it's a register used to hide private data, hardly suspicious by itself ( I use them for businesses as well ). Not really impressed by all the other accusations to be honest.

The main problem is that they are Japanese, so doing research on them is hard. Did you bother to contact the event and find out if they are actually a sponsor? If they say no, then that would be a big thing. edit: They are now mentioned as a sponsor http://blockchainapac.fintecnet.com/.

They should definitely make a video or so introducing themselves or so, or share links with their background on it ( that already existed before the ICO ). I would like to invest in something like this, but I prefer the money to not go down in a black hole.

The dividends are paid out through an ethereum ERC20 Token "smart" contract.

But as they are investing in cryptocurrencies (not ICOs), the ethereum, bitcoin, altcoin, don't have dividends. Which means they must be sold to realize the gain.

There is a possibility they both used the same developer. Maybe it's legit, if you think it's a good idea, I also have a blockchain bridge you might be interested in.

Taas looks like a different site and I don't see why you think the idea is copied.

I also do not see much evidence that this is a scam so far. BUT, if the team is truly prominent, then surely there should be information on the internet about them? One of the listed members is a professor at a university, is there no university page (in japanese)?

A second question - does the team have the requisite expertise in deep learning?

Are there any competitors in this space (ie using deep learning/machine learning applied to cryptocurrencies)?

The Beth tokens will provide to their holders a right to receive 60% of quarterly profits and 25% of profit will be reinvested back into the portfolio

Since there are no dividends from cryptocurrency, to realize profit it must be sold. So my understanding of this is that 60% of the appreciated value will be sold quarterly, and the 25% "reinvestment" will already be held in cryptocurrency, therefore nothing to be done with that.

Go to http://TaaS.fund/ and read their website, then look at http://Beth.jp/

WoW!

Not only did they copy their idea, they copied their site design as well. I checked the source code of TaaS, it's fairly organic looking. Beth.jp uses gem, a wysiwyg wordpress tool. (Why the f* wouldn't you spin that simple landing page up in laravel? Or Jekyll? Or just plain HTML/CSS)

TaaS was accused of being a scam as well, only the team responded with photos, video, and posts on every channel within 24 hours. The only reason TaaS needed to respond was because their accuser didn't contact them first.

You would have posted a YouTube of your team introducing themselves if you were legit.

I've been tricked, scammed, bamboozled, robbed, and straight ripped off so many times, I can spot a confidence man a mile away, and I'll say, this Beth.jp outfit is either a rip off, or they are borderline autistic.

An ICO/project does benefit from transparency on legitimate persons and organisations, but in no way does this guarantee success or prevent "scam". Some good research was done, but not nearly enough to warrant the accusations, I would say.

Give the team a chance to keep to their deadlines and provide the information they say they will.
Yeah why this guy target Beth for no reason. They tell him to wait for the meeting. Cry

Ok sounds good  Grin

thanks for banning me from your slack after only 3 messages, don't worry i will continue to expose your scam.

We already enable your account again but as we have shown, you have said many false things about us. The only point understandable is about the identities and we offer you two solutions: Organize a meeting with us (since you are in Japan too) or wait for the public meeting.

Just as we enabled your account again, it would be good to delete the false things you said about us.

Ok, sounds good.

We will announce it on our twitter and, in truth, we wish you to be present to clarify all your doubts.

Ok i understand that this is your private registrar informations,

But we still dont know if these people exist, so you still need to prove that everything on your site is true.

i will wait for your meeting and see what's going on.

But you said that you are not in Japan, probably in Russia looking to your local time zone, so not sure how you can organise a meeting in Japan without speaking japanese, so i got my pop corn ready.

Renk,

As we said multiples times, contact us if you want to have a private meeting with us. Send us an email and we can arrange it. If not, wait until we announce our official meeting (~ week).

And again, we have nothing to do with those sites. I think you do not understand how private registration work. The data, telephone numbers, and address do not correspond to us but to the registrar of the domain.

Hi again,

Your first video claims are two:

- That the site uses WordPress and the identities of the team. On the first thing you are right, but we do not understand what the problem is.

Yes good the site uses wordpress and it's Ok with me.

The problem is that your team don't exist.

-No github account
-No linkedin
-No facebook
-No twitter
-Nothing about ANY of these 4 people on google
-You are using someone else's identity for your "team"

Maybe i am wrong and as a community manager you would have many links to show me ?

Or maybe you  didnt think that someone would ask the right questions ?

The ICO site (ico.beth.jp) is different and uses Laravel, not WordPress.

Very good. Laravel is a great Framework, maybe you should stick to honest web development and earn your bread like everyone else ?

On the second, we offered you multiple times to hold a meeting in Japan to clarify your doubts but you never agreed.

here are the multiple times where i have agreed :

Yes i want to meet you and i can speak fluent Japanese.what about you ? 日本語でどうですか?

I will ask really technical questions about blockchain tech and see how it goes.

 ++ Renk ++‏ @Hokuto_shincoin  17 hil y a 17 heures

Ok thank you, what is the name of this event please ? Actually i might be in Japan before the ICO, if you prove me wrong i will invest 5BTC

------------

You don't want to show one picture or one video of the team working on this project but you ask me to come and meet the team in Japan.

Give me their twitter account facebook or phone number so i can book an appointement with them ? No ? oops they don't exist i forgot.

That is why we are going to hold an official meeting in Japan before the ICO starts. Anyone will be invited. Full information will be released in less than a week.

Ok i will come back to this thread in a week and see if your nonsense continues.

In your second video, your complaints are about the domain registrant of the site, which has nothing to do with us.

(EDIT : beth is using a private registrar so this address and phone is used by other sites, however rippletrade.jp was registered using the same registrar so i believe there is a very high chance it is the same person registering )

And later you talk about one of the events we are sponsored. We can confirm it, you can even talk to the organizers, but simply our logo is not updated on the site yet.

Ok great i will surely contact them soon.

The thing is you have nothing on the table, you're just asking for Money, what'sup with that ?

Hopefully you will get 0.10 BTC for your ICO to cover your website fees.

See i still wish you something good.
