This is such an obviously wrong take. This wasn't a scam. We didn't just keep funds. The funds raised (including > $1 million of my own) were used and the business ran out of money and had to close. It's as simple as that.

If we were just sitting on funds and decided to refund now, why would we not have done it when BTC was at 60k instead?

It's great that you are refunding clients...but how about all the people who have faced dire consequences from the delay of BetKing's token until now? Now, just a refund? Of course you are in a better position as the price went up.

I commend that you are refunding as it's better than a scam, but I think that BetKing should not be allowed to promote on the forum and negative trust ratings should not be removed even when as many people as possible could be refunded.

There are always going to be people who miss your thread and do not claim a refund because of the endless possibilities of what happens in periods of years. That is something that you can never compensate for.

This is the best thing to do as a reputable member who knows the importance of being sincere in their dealings as far as reputations is concern and no matter what the level of damages that have been cost it still more better to take the responsibility of refunding whatever is nit legally earned to the rightful owners and from this thread i ha e seen consistency from the ops and this is highly commendable.
Unlike other scam casino who have hard series of projects that attracted public investment but at the end, they pulled an exit scam against everybody,  vy shouting the door at our face without any attempt to compensate affected investors and with no communication from them.

If your intentions are right then I hope that the investors will receive those funds that they have lost during the ICO time. Well, I'm quite sure that you will find most of those investors who still want to get refunded and it would be great if you share with us with posts bumps each month about the number of users who get their money refunded.


I would also recommend you to close the deposits and don't open BetKing until the previous investors are fully refunded and if you sincerely do that then surely it'll be something new in the world of online gambling. I hope those investors who were affected will get their money back. The initiative sounds good to me now and if it really happens then I'm very sure that BetKing may get some people's trust once again.

Well if you confirm your refund it is actually a good news and hope others get theirs so that it won't be selective to build back their reputation.

They should endeavor to reach out to those who might left the forum or those who invested outside the forum. I will suggest they give longer time for this refund so that more people can be aware. Hence if they have more social media channels, they should keep bumping on them.

Awesome to see that some casino owners keep their promises even though they already kinda ruined their reputation.

Update: I just got my full refund!  

I never though that I will still get my refund since I considered my BKB token long loss because of the failure of the casin. Honestly speaking, I never 100% trust that this refund is really true! I just give it a shot and got my refund.

For those who have BKB token, Just contact the email address provided on this thread. Betking is really refunding all the affected token holders.

This is a good move by the betking casino to have decided to make refund of investors funds back.  It is rare  to see such attributes from a casino with such a huge amount of funds to repay. Unlike others, they do not bother looking back to their investors. I know it is a gradual process but for sure with this singular act by them, I think their reputation would get back to normal. They might not be able to settle every one investors but for the fact that they have started the process of doing such, that alone shows how remoresed they are to have had such experience in the past and in that case must have decided to clear up the mess they have caused investors years back. For the tagged account, they will surely revisit.

Just making an update here. Betking finally replied to my post and sent me the ETH address for receiving my BKB tokens that needs to be refunded. I really believe that they are sincere on returning all the funds from the affected user.

Dean has a chance to walk away here since his reputation is already tainted while the amount of refund is too high yet he choose to slowly return the money for all the victims for the sake of cleaning his reputation about this misfortune. Let's see what's gonna happened with this refund procedure.

This is the first time I am seen this in the forum and the casino me looks familiar, though I have not participated in their games before the name sound familiar. I just checked the google search engine to confirm the one I know. The domain names are not the same but they are similar. The one I know is betking.com https://mlite.betking.com/en/sports. Well Op I can see that you have a heavy negative tags in your profile and I believe for your to clear that negative trust is not hard if really you have truly repented and clear all refunds. Because it was users that reported you to be tagged and the same users will still report you to be a good casino that has repaid all the token. So the genuineness of what you are saying is best. We are all human, we have feelings what you did to them hurt them and now that you are back to refund the token to them, it is a good move you have taken, let it be legit.

When you have re-funded all the money back to the owners and do the right thing then the forum will still give you trust back. The real trust is from the mind. So go and sin no more.

Just to correct a common repeated mistake in your post.
 
The ICO did raise $6 million.
$1 million of that investment was money I put in myself. I'm not looking to make that back.
$5 million came from other investors. Most of it was profit they had made from BetKing pre ICO, when we had a crowdfunded bankroll.

The amount we are trying to refund is over $2 million.
That shows the initial investors actually received almost $3 million back before we closed..
Almost all of those investors made a profit due to buying with 25% discount in the ICO. The tokens were bought back by BetKing at a higher price.

The refunds are for the unfortunate investors who never sold any tokens in buybacks or received any other form of refunds.

$2 million is a huge amount to be refunding out of my own pocket but it's certainly more probable than refunding $6 million, that people commonly mistake the number to be.

Last thing. There is no desire for me to open BetKing at all. It is currently closed for deposits.

The only way I would re-open it is if, and only if, there was a chance that a good portion of old players would return and it had a high chance of being able to make profit that could speed up investor refunds. This is obviously unlikely.
If we did open and the site made enough to refund investors, I would close it the next day.
I have no interest in making money from BetKing personally.

It's still needed to give warnings because such businesses can play the trick once again with the victims who were affected by the ICO fraud that Betking.io did with them. I know that the title of the thread is for refunding and they said that they have refunded $38k but still that amount is nothing against $6 million. I'm not accusing them because if they are going to refund the users then that's going to help them regain some trust. I hope Eternad and others will get their money refunded by Betking.io and if they does then that's something unbelievable, and surely it will be a hard thing for them to refund each investors but if they successfully does that then they may gain some trust once again.

It’s been 3 days since my last email to Betking that is still not replied by them. I’m still waiting for the wallet address which I should send my BKB tokens to claim my refund.

Although I’m not that much paying importance to this refund since I consider this already as loss money the day this token failed due to Betking bankruptcy. I will be happy if they refund. Actually, I’m just checking it regularly just to give update on this thread. 

I wish you luck that you get your refund if they really have the plan to reopen there's a lot of work to be done and they have to reach out to every one of the investors and also those who red tag them.

It is not an easy job but if they show dedication and are transparent and honest on rebuilding their reputation they can do it but it's not going to be easy, people will still doubt them and it will take time, but they have done the right now.

Hopefully, we'll get more updates on refunding their investors.

Also, There’s no sense on giving warning about this casino since Betkng.io is not operational anymore. It doesn’t accept deposits and also this thread is for refund and not an advertisement to attract players. We are already off-topic here.

It's Betking.io not Betking.com and the Betking.io has been tagged for scamming users. They have ran an ICO in 2017 on this forum where they have raised around $6 million from the investors. They have scammed all those investors and now they are back again only to scam more members. Be aware of them and check the flags against them. I haven't heard about Betking.com but they might be different from Betking.io and that's why everyone should be careful.

This is different Betking since this casino mostly promote here in the forum when I’m still new here. This is Betking.io while Betking.com is the one you are describing as popular casino in Nigeria which is still active until now.

I believe the owner of this casino wants to inform forum user that doesn't check email frequently simce emails sometimes being flood by junk email.

Is this the same betking that operate in Nigeria and known majorly for soccer bet just like bet9ja. Well I never knew they had an ICO far back in the time of ICO and to see an old account as of that of legendary handling their presence here means they have been around. Anyway, I remember those days there were lots of exit scam and it is nice seeing this site trying to fulfill some promises made in the past and I hope they sincerely do that.

My suggestion therefore is to send email messages to accounts that registered with them rather than relying on the this thread alone.

I think they have plan to reopen or else they will not bother fixing their reputation that is tainted for many years.

I’m already on the process of refund since Dean already ask my wallet address to receive the funds yesterday although he become inactive after our last conversation. Still understandable since today is weekends and he fulfilled his promise that he will contact me yesterday. I'm positive that this refund will be successful.


Good for you. I assume you invested a lot here since those whale investors is the priority of the refund. I just hope that they continue the refund process until 100% complete for whatever they are using right now to generate profit.

Hi, I was one of the investors in the Betking ICO in 2017, possibly even one of the largest investors at the time. There have been many years of discussion about how things went wrong and what happened to the site.

I, like many people, have never known for sure what happened but I can confirm that I've started to see refunds for my tokens and this is the first time since the casino failure years ago that I had any refund. In about 3 months I've gotten back about 2% of my investment, but it's real money successfully withdrawn from the site. It's a hopeful sign because if I was made whole it would be absolutely life changing.
