I guess I got alot to learn from you guys lol. Im just way below the average points and the only decent players that I got was Salah and Thiago Silva lol. Well Ramsdale was one of it but he was a sub so yeah that doesnt count. Most of my players had like 1 point for each of them LOL, I was so bad and I forgot to assign captain as well so the system automatically assigned it to G. Jesus  Roll Eyes. Disaster GW1 for me

What a shitty week indeed, especially with the Gabriel Jesus as captain pick,  but it could have gone your way too. but I'm curios, If Ramsdale was your bench keeper then who is the starting keeper ? except you're got another starting keeper like Ward at 4.0m, what's the reason for having 2 starting goalkeepers and spending a little extra of budget that could come handy for getting other players.

I was barely above the average of the week with 65 points too, but I don't think it was a terrible week in general.

I understand people swapping Kane for Haaland to avoid price changes but in general, you would want to avoid making transfers early in the week. A lot can happen during the week, from getting covid, picking up a knock or simply being rotated/benched.
400k transfer yesterday, now it went up to 700k haaland transfers today, 0.2 cost diffence (those 400k already saved £0.2), imo people who keep waiting are gonna get priced out. my GW2 prediction: haaland will stay fit until matchday and then he'll score a poker against recently promoted side bournemouth, meanwhile, Kane is going to have another shitty day against Chelsea  Cheesy

Only Liverpool, Chelsea, and Newcastle recorded better/higher team xG in GW1 than Haaland's individual xG...which is kinda crazy. I understand people swapping Kane for Haaland to avoid price changes but in general, you would want to avoid making transfers early in the week. A lot can happen during the week, from getting covid, picking up a knock or simply being rotated/benched. Transfers should be made as close to the deadline as possible.

Kane owners were unlucky not to get a return against the Saints. You rarely see Spurs score four goals without Kane getting at least one assist or goal. I'm not sure how Son didn't see him there, Kane was asking for the ball for a good 2-3 seconds, would've been an easy tap in... Grin

Swapping Kane for Haaland ahead of game 2 is an easy decision to make, but deciding to go for Haaland or Salah as game week 2 captain might be the tougher decision to make, especially knowing that Man City are playing Bournemouth next, while Liverpool would welcome Crystal Palace.
Actually, this is what I expected.

Great advice that I took! Btw, there are other tips in the 3rd post.

The Fantasy Premier League site https://fantasy.premierleague.com/ updates a player’s value based on his “transfers in” and “transfers out” ratio.

This means after the weekend’s games you should confidently make your transfers before everyone else. Most people wait until they’re at work on Monday to act. If a player underperformed on Sunday, don’t wait until later in the week to sell him. Sell him Sunday night before his value drops.

We are here to FEAST!!! SAY HELLO TO MERITS UNITED  > Grin my best ever point in a single GW. Two broke on my team gave me double zero. So pained

Yeah you did well but you used tripple captain in first game week which is not that good. That is chip best used in double game weeks when players have 2 games. Not that it works every time but last season it worked perfectly with Salah against Leeds amd Notwich. It doesn't get better than that.

Couple of seasons ago I gave it to Aguero, and he got injured in first 20 minutes of first game and got 1 point.

Swapped Kane for Haaland without hesitation (at least for GW2).

Same here, even though it is never smart to do transfers this early, I was afraid of price rise/fall and missing the funds when deadline comes. Kane was plying quite deep and did not look very dangerous while Haaland always looked ready for runs behind opposition defense. DeBruyne is probably the best player to supply perfect balls for those runs so I am seeing a lot of goals from this combination.

I'm sticking with my line up, since I didn't have Kane for Game Week 1 to begin with, I just swapped Matty Cash for Nathan Ake, Cash is 4th  most swapped out player ahead of game week 2, behind Kane, Jesus and Perisic, I'm actually more surprised to see Alexander-Arnold make the top 5 of the most swapped out player, I mean it's only game 1 and it's not as though Liverpool fixtures aren't supposed to be favorable.

Why hold when you can get Saka, who will give you 8-10 points per game? G. Jesus will not flop, but his chances of scoring 8-9 points are slim.

Edit

Mitrovic!!!!!!!!!!!! You beauty!!!!!! I love you mfcker.  Grin
Well I am holding onto Jesus since I think he will be best points per million striker this season and because Arsenal has some great fixtures. If he doesn't start providing points when fixtures turn bad, I'll get rid of him for some other in form option with good fixtures. I already have Saka and I agree he is the best Arsenal player for FPL.
Well the truth is, you never can really tell when his best points would be pouring in but I guess that's the point of the whole thing. You take a gamble on them players and see what comes up. Gabriel Jesus was still impressive in the game despite his not being able to give an asset nor score a goal. He did put out his best, dribbled his way into the 18yard box a few times and even got a rebounced shot, dropped some really golden chance  that could have been converted to a goal and give him that assist he so much desired in that game but, the players weren't in on it.
I'll still try him out in there next game, his price is cool and accommodates other players coupled with the fact that, his a good striker.

Congrats on Mitrović, would have never picked him in million years with the fixtures Fulham has in first few game weeks.

did not believe that it is possible, but it is, Tottenham scored four goals, and neither Kane neither Son are on the list
Kane without even assist

yeah, it is possible, because I put him as captain in final change-over
nevertheless, Mitrovic saved the day, with two goals against Liverpool, in an only draw in this round so far, since Leeds and Bournemouth both won their matches

I've got prior approval from the CEO of Betnomi but if he forgets I'll do my best to make sure everyone gets what they deserve. To anyone who watched the game (or didn't), take another look at the first half, Jesus had a lot of sweet moves and to be fair he should have had an assist, basically a 100% chance that was missed.
He was only in the game for 40 minutes, and while he made some deadly moves, he was always man-marked; his only move that could have resulted in a goal was the big chance Martinelli missed.

he'll end up with 8-9 goals by the end of the season. Congratulations to everyone who made him captain.
you'd have to be a Gunners fan to do this  Grin no way a player who recently changed teams can be captain in the FPL
Lol. I mean the entire 77% trusted him so why not? They believed he was going to score except me  Grin

i think i'm gonna keep him for GW2, too early to start dropping players, right? plus, next game will be at the Emirates so maybe the fans and the overall atmosphere of the stadium could give him a bit more confiderence 🙏
Well 610 managers have already sold him after the game! You still have the chance do the right thing.

So everyone only got 2 points from him, and I'm glad I was part of the 23% who didn't believe the hype, just because he scored 11 goals in 5 games against farmers in preseason everyone went over the moon and started twerking for him.

he'll end up with 8-9 goals by the end of the season. Congratulations to everyone who made him captain.
Ha, I waited for you here, so you admit that mainly farmers play for Chelsea?
Ipswich Town, FC Nurnberg, Everton, Orlando City, Sevilla, Brentford, and Chelsea; four of their games were against part-time farmers, and aside from the game against Chelsea, we had some internal issues prior to the game. Grin

Almost everybody had Jesus in their team, it was the right decision and it is no coincidence that he was selected in such high numbers. First game did not work out for Jesus owners but it was much less of risk to have him than to not have him and he scores a goal or two. Same goes for Salah, it is just brave or stupid to go without him. You can't win much and you can find yourself catching up to everybody from the start. It is not a sprint it is a marathon, and every single asset will have bad game weeks during the season.

it's fine, fellow G.Jesus believers, we're gonna be fine... right?

I had Gabriel Jesus in my team as well, and I don't think he played a terrible game, the preseason games and his form there must have sent a warning signal to the Crystal Palace team and they did a decent job of keeping him at bay, especially during set pieces. Jesus made some decent run off and on the ball, but I'd only consider him a fluke by the amount chance he missed not by the number of chance he didn't get. Arsenal only control a vast majority of the game but the supply line to Jesus was nowhere near optimal, all the team had was 3 shots on goal, two of which were converted and since it wasn't supposed to be an easy fixture to begin with, so I'm still pretty sure Jesus will do just fine.

he'll end up with 8-9 goals by the end of the season.

No he wont, He'd hit double digits with relative ease, provided he doesn't miss too many games.

Im one of players that ended up selecting him lol Roll Eyes. He was decent though last season and with him moving to Arsenal that means he is pretty much guaranteed to start so yeah that was pretty much my reasoning, I guess I got alot to learn about selecting my squad in fantasy. Well atleast I got clean sheet on Ramsdale so its decent for me
