Luke warm to the touch. I get a reading of up to 30 C˚ on my thermometer.
Hottest spot on the Asic is about 51 C˚.

Those sinks will not fit in 10+ hubs, like Anker. Just blow air at it, they are cool to touch.

My USB fan is doing a great job keeping mine cool. That heatsink is cool, but probably overkill. Not to mention, I wouldn't be able to still fit them in my hub next to each other. Wink

Hi everybody

I would like to show you a way how to provide better passive cooling for your USB Block Erupters. This might extend the life expectancy of your sticks (I hope!).

Step 1: Unscrew the original cooler.
Step 2: Eiter place the original thermal pad, or order the Phobya thermal-pad for thermal transfer between the board and your passive cooler. (One Phobyastripe is enough for three Block Erupters)
Step 3: Using cable ties mount your northbridge passive cooler onto your Block Erupter.
Step 4: Optionaly attach one of the Raspberry-Pi-Heatsinks directly onto the ASIC on the other side of the board

(Im sorry I cannot provide a picture for this. Im still waiting for delivery of these...)
