You have just said it all some persons don't know that in everything you are doing in life requires patience and when you put patience first you will achieve what you want some will just want to bye cut the rules and regulations of an organization to get what they want easily knowing full well that it might be harmful to them pls let learn how to obey instructions so that we can achieve our goals.

Op, the question you just ask have been asked several times and answers have also been given severally and looking at your position it is obvious you are not a newbie though you might be a newbie when you ask this question. However,  everything here Is been arranged and programed well and each have there specific functions and what is been discussed there. If you have take your time to check around you would've seen that you were suppose to ask this question in Beginners and help, and not only that you would've also seen this same question and the answers there.

Moreover,  if you want to be earning merit you will have to go through the forum and look for where you are good at (i mean where you can contribute positively) and then check your previous post/replies you earned Merit on and follow same pattern but if you are posting with the mindset of earning merit it will be unfortunate ( not funny) for you though you can still earn.

There are several ways one can earn merit in this forum.

1. Try to understand the concept of the thread you want to reply or quote so that one can be able to know and understand what to write or reply.

2. Making a quality post can also earn you merit.

3 sometimes also been consistent in the forum can earn you merit by carefully reading merited post learning from others mistake.

4 And also not been angry when your post is been criticised instead learn from it.

But as a newbie earning merit shouldn't be your major concern but your concern should be how to to understand the forum, knowing the rules and regulations abiding in the forum, then you can stick on how to get your merit because it is also important for rank up.

A good way to earn merit it’s more about consistency and continuous learning from mistakes and corrections.this merit can also be attain when you gain recognition and support in the forum due to the hardworking and dedication towards it.

Earning merits shouldn't be a priority now for a newbie, but the priority should be to gaining knowledge and grow,  though merits also dey important, becos how you go know say you dey grow outside the knowledge for here Na from the merits, The same way nobody want knowledge wey no go dey profitable,  so concerning the post just dey constructive in Ur post and avoid spamming. Besides just making quality posts all the time, the word count should be enough up to about 2,000words at least.

I like that word, "don't  be too desperate for merit just be yourself" since I joined this forum one thing I learned is that of you try chasing merit you might end up making mistake which could result to you not having the merit you intended to have. One other thing I learnt from merit source is that, they hate merit fishing post which can be obvious due to your actions, once they see that, you are not getting any merit from them. I like the idea of being your self and read to follow up trends that will enlighten you first, and give you the opportunity to be of help to others who lack the information that you have.

Very delighted in this your reply and opinions, been curious about Merritt can leads to deviating on the main aim and objectives of been in the forum merrit is good for everyone need promotion or improve in what we engage ourselves but it come through all you stated by focusing more on make quality post and good reply, for me I don't think I have got Merritt through creating if post but have my merrit through reply.

One major thing is that I learn more in the reply and people post as beginner than creating what I don't ni much of I will advise you follow this process because is yielding result for me even other has successfully make it give it a trial.

There is no point in focusing on telling him to put more effort into making good contributions. I see that this topic was created in December; back then, the OP did not know much about the forum. She made a lot of mistakes, but now i can see the progress and how far she has gone. She has been able to learn a lot about bitcoin, giving contributions to bitcoin-related topics on other boards and the forum at large.

There is always a beginning for everyone and her progress so far is something that will yeild good result to her in no due time. OP, keep up and always contribute more to the forum that is you owe yourself. Be real in it.

There are many ways to earn merits but I think you should be calm about merit and focus on your day to day activities by trying to make reasonable and meaningful Post just like Charles tim said that when he started, he always check merited post of reputable members and know what earned them that merit, and that is what makes him understand more about the forum. The forum is designed to talk about Bitcoin and the only reason why the concept of merit became necessary is to encourage individual that are giving in their time and effort in contributing meaningfully to the growth of the forum. You only get merited when you've made positive contributions to the forum that has helped the next persons doubt to be cleared or when you've shared a meaningful information or insight in the forum.

Engage positively in the forum and merit will come to you by itself but if you chase after merit, it will become very obvious and it might lead you to creating irrelevant topics that might make members of the forum avoid your account.

You can earn merit if your post is quality, when we mean quality it doesn't necessarily mean the length of your post( short or bulky).
