the bitcoin here in the Philippines is not as popular as any other country. So you can not even charge a bitcoin for a restaurant. But for me it's good for a restaurant that they get paid by bitcoin. Good for the future. I believe in the future that bitcoin will be the new money. So we must get used to modern payment.

this is a very good culinary business when receiving payments using bitcoin BTC or other altcoin, so users of digital currency can easily use the currency, not only for investment but to enjoy life with bitcoin there is no place

Is there a restaurant in your area that has received payments using bitcoins or the like?

Only in some large developed countries, accept btc payment

Bitcoin is not that popular here in my country so i think there will be no services like restaurants accept bitcoin as a payment for now because even if we tell bitcoin to people or friends they won't believe it but i hope someday people in my country will use bitcoin like i do.

When I check on Coinmap.org I see that there are a couple of restaurants and bars who accept Bitcoin in their venue, I wonder how that works with confirmations 'n all.
Would you have to wait an extra 5 minutes / half an hour before your payment confirms and you can leave?

Also, every restaurant that does home delivery through takeaway.com also accepts Bitcoin automatically, that's around 1000 restaurants, give or take.

Unfortunately in my country it is still impossible to use bitcoin for payment in a restaurant. But even if it becomes possible, I think that the price of dishes on the menu will grow much because of the high commission.

Our local Bar accepts Bitcoin as a payment option and they serve food too. We made special arrangements with the bar owner to have such a option. He saw the potential and even installed a Bitcoin ATM for our convenience. We buy on a tab to prevent loads of smaller transactions and at the end of the evening we settle the bill with one transaction. ^smile^

You have to go the extra mile to get merchants to support Bitcoin, and when they do, you then have to support them.

pay a restaurant with bitcoin? I guess I do not like the idea, though it's more practical and efficient, with the price of the fluctuating bitcoin now. I think holding bitcoin for 3 months or more will be more profitable.

I haven't seen any restaurants like that in my area. Maybe I would use Bitcoin once to test it if it works. I think it's a waste of bitcoin to pay for food at this moment. It will be worth much more in the future.

Here in my country I have not heard of a restaurant that receives payment from bitcoins. Perhaps they will suffer if the price of bitcoins falls. But there I heard that in the USA it can be used as a payment. I have watched it as true and hopefully it will continue until somewhere we have seen "Buy Bitcoins Sign.

Its good  if there some restaurant that are accept bitcoin as payment, maybe its possible if there someone who want to buy their food and they cannot go to restaurant for some reason they are able to order through online and we can pay them through bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the famous cryptocurrency in this world that why many people in this world value bitcoin in their life, so I think its possible there are many restaurant that are accept bitcoin as means of payment but in my country I think there no restaurant here that accept bitcoin as payment maybe in other country.

Nope, I don't have any restaurant or any other single merchant that accepts Bitcoin as a payment method in my town. However, I believe the situation will change soon and we will be able to spend Bitcoins in the offline markets. I really appreciate the role of exchanges in building awareness about Bitcoin.

Recently, I came across this video from BloombergQuint. They have covered the story of Indian restaurant accepting Bitcoins. In India, the user base is growing at an impressive rate but the number of merchants is not increasing according to the user base. Such stories are inspiring for other merchants around the world to start accepting Bitcoin.

* Grab a bite and pay with Bitcoins at this Bengaluru restaurant..

Do share if you heard, read or watched any such story. I am sure in the coming years we would have exponential growth in the merchants supporting Bitcoin as a payment method.

We will have a Bitcoin friendly market environment soon where we will be able to spend our Bitcoins without converting it into any fiat currency.

I personally do not favor bitcoin to be used as a payment method for restaurants. However, if majority of the restaurants start accepting bitcoin, then it will increase the popularity of bitcoin among the masses which will increase the investment flow in to bitcoin.

However, as an investor of bitcoin, I personally won't spend bitcoin after a dine out. I would rather pay by cash and save my bitcoins for future use. I believe in bitcoin as an investment asset and not as a payment currency. So I would better earn and save bitcoins instead of spending it.

Unfortunately here in the Philippines, Bitcoin isn't as popular compared to other countries. Due to the increasing number of poverty incidence here in our country, those people who should know about bitcoin are being neglected in terms of support and internet access. Only the below-average to rich people have access to the internet, which makes around 50-60% of our whole population. The people who should be benefiting and maximizing the opportunities of bitcoin are the ones who aren't knowledgeable about its existence which primarily defeats the whole purpose of the system.
