I did the biggest error chosing Xapo.
Everything was easy and now they make me in obligation to use a android mobile...
So long I have not an android mobile...my BTC (satoshi) on Xapo are blocked...
Over 15 email exchanges have not helped...
I do not recommend Xapo...in fact they have stolen me in a legit way...
For me they are scammers...so far my biggest scammer is Xapo.

I see that some users here are not happy with Xapo but I have to say the opposite. The other day I had some issues with debit card, first in two years of using, and they support responded very quickly and helpful.
I think Xapo is still one of the best and most professional Bitcoin debit card providers that are doing their business on legitimate manner.

Asking for identify , photos and bills to verify your xapo account or it will be blocked is the worst features of Xapo.

Do not trust Xapo!

They haven't answered my emails for weeks. I have a wallet with bitcoins, they blocked my account with no explanation and I'm really worried they won't give them back. I have recommended this company to other people and I really regret because of the very poor service.

I'm alerting all my friends and I seriously recommend you check thoroughly before opening an account here.

They don't have a contact number, no address and if you have a problem, don't count on them to respond.

I found out through friends that they are in Argentina, but no address.

Does anybody know how to contact someone who can address my concerns and return my bitcoins?

If you want a copy of my correspondence with them, send PM and I'll gladly fwd the thread to you.

Matias K

i think they are fine and respond in 24 hour if you didn't open a ticket then try again they will surely reply you
be patience

Thanks

They are legit and that's another thing why I left them, not only with the high fees but also with poor support. Before they are fine but I don't know why there's a sudden change of customer service. Blocking without any explanation? That is something unethical coming from a well known web wallet.

I have used Xapo before and they are legit in my opinion with the amount of technology improvement that have done on their site. But what made me left them was the high transaction fees which you are not even given the option as to whether to choose a lower fee for longer time and the likes.

I hate that when I've seen that change they had made. Most of it is always a priority transaction and that's why I get back to blockchain.info when I'm trying to make some good transactions, I can adjust with the lowest sats per byte.

when i was a beginner in bitcoin i'm using xapo as my bitcoin wallet, i know they are legit but when it comes to support they are very poor in it. Also the fees in their transaction are extremely very high. Just avoid xapo wallet! Use blockchain wallet instead

No need to exaggerate things. Xapo wants to prevents its service from being infested with dust transactions, and for that reason has to charge certain fees, especially when it comes to lower amounts. Xapo has been a faucet farmer paradise for a while, but these people aren't of any value to them and only add clutter to their service and to the network. Let's be honest, the only reason people went for Xapo was because of their free external transactions. People collect their faucet dust for a good while, and once they added up to a 'decent' amount, they were either sold or spent. You can't blame them for putting an end to this nonsense, and especially with how the fees have been increasing.

I'm pretty sure that most of us here left xapo because of the high fees but with this incident, it's another reason for those people that are remaining on using them.

They have an update regarding real vault if I'm not mistaken and that is something that makes them real but I don't know if this is real until proved with evidence.

The only option I see here is to call them out on social media if someone took your money without answering you to arrive at a compromise then they have thrown every bit of caution in the winds which why you also need to take that route to force an answer.

I used to keep my bitcoins in Xapo for a long time, since they asked me for my identify and photo of it?? For what ? They're against the basic feature of Bitcoin, it's anonymous. They blocked my account, after 3 week sent mails and received mails finally i got my BTC back and never using Xapo against. I think coinbase is good enough for us to use .

No saying that im not gonna use it, but is there any others options to have a fairly anonymous credit card?

Is this wallet is recommendable storing bitcoin for long period of time or not? I have read some statement that this is legit the only problem is high transaction fee. I am looking for other online wallet that can possible to store bitcoin for long period of time because i want to divide my fund in multiple wallet to lessen the risk of my investment
Mate online wallet is not recommended storing your bitcoin for long period of time, you should learn how paper wallet works if you do not know this kind of wallet, also there are hardware wallet which is the best wallet to store our bitcoin even for long term or short term. And you are correct that dividing your bitcoin in different wallet will lessen the risk you have.

Xapo wallet is not good anymore because this wallet has many changes and the worst thing is they already increase transaction fee too much and that is the thing hates by many users.

There is nothing new with this mate, we all know that most of the online wallets are the same shit, and most of them are runned by the same team, only that with different names.

But yes, this is very strange since i didn't knew that Xapo was having this kind of issues.

Almost all the websites that are offering services with bitcoins are now collapsed, and there is nothing new with this, because the bitcoin population is growing so fast.

Just look at the crap of bittrex, they are not even able to reply to the support tickets because they are less than 8 employees to answer to 100k tickets a day..

xapo and coinbase are centralized wallets monitored and regulated by government just like paypal. They are paypal of cryptos and your account can be frozen without any warning or explanation.

Never use them, use SPV wallets like electrum, jaxx, exodus etc.

Xapo is not monitored by government, that it's not true. But if they want to run legitimate business they have to be regulated according to anti-money laundering and anti terrorism financing laws. But Xapo would not freeze someone's account without reason, just for fun.
Maybe they have suspected on money laundering or fake personal data and that was the action until the situation clears up.

Don't use any online wallet since there is no actual benefit to them. If you want an easy way of storing coins, use a desktop client (e.g Electrum) that doesn't require you to download the entire blockchain, and from there create proper back ups and store them safely offline. In combination with that, to enhance your day-to-day usability, you can use a proper mobile wallet client (e.g Mycelium). These wallet clients will only charge you the required network fees, and thus there is no greed or whatever profit making thought behind them, like is the case with various online wallet providers.

Thre could be several reasons why they have blocked your account. First, you haven't delivered them the proof for your personal data and they are because of legal requests really strict about that. Or you have maybe blocked your account with wrong authentication. I'm using Xapo services for a long time now and never had any issues. As far as I know they are legitimate service but it's true tha they have very poor customer service. If you think you are right just be persistant.

I don't know why people still using xapo/coinbase as their wallets, it's time to move on guys. use wallet which gives you full control over your bitcoins(electrum, mycelium etc..).

For long term holding online wallets shouldn't be used, go for paper wallet or hardware wallet. i personally prefer hardware wallet.  Cheesy

I stopped using them because if all these reasons. They really have a nice site and nice sheek look to them with that black they use, very executive looking but like a book looks can be deceiving. I won't use anything where people have control over or a trade currency on any place where you can't even contact someone and noone is held responsible for anything. I want to be rest assured that my currency is safe. Not having these details doesn't help and reminds me of how fake those HYIP details are where they just give any address in the country they choose to claim they from. Gosh it's so bad this sort of thing goes on.

weird. i had an enquiry the other day and got an email back within ten hours answering my question.

op, are you fully verified there? if you're not then that's gonna be the cause of most problems.

and they're not in argentina, they're incorporated in hong kong, have an office in california and i think their super cold stored coins are located in switzerland.

you could try twitter.
Well, either you got lucky or they have improved their customer services  Tongue

@OP
If contacting them via email does not work, try to contact their Bitcointalk account and official topic here:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/to-contact-xapo-support-please-use-our-faqs-httpssupportxapocom-902526
Even though they claimed that they do not monitor the topic anymore, their account is still active.

Xapo as far as I now are legit, but their customer service is pile of garbage.
It's normal for your email to not receive any response for weeks, mine were responded within a month, that was the last time I used their service.
There must be a reason for them to block your accounts, try to send their agents an email everyday, if you're lucky they will saw it and respond to your ticket.

I too using this wallet for years already and my account is fully verified because was using their debit card to withdraw cash. Long back I purchased some telephone credit but I didn't get that credit and my amount was deducted from my account. I raised a ticket and they replied me within a day and I get back my amount.

Currently, I see only one issue is they usually have a high withdrawal fee compared to other wallets I use apart from that it looks ok to me.

Try contact their support not just in email, find their other social account and send them your concerns.

Do you had verified personal adress? If no then they would block you for unlogical reasons but if you are verified and still blocked, don't have any idea. I know people who are using xapo wallet for storing even 10btc and they never had any problem. I am their user too.
I have no idea if anyone bitcoin service provider is as good as xapo, they have low fees. If you know legit ones, some suggest would be appreciated.

Open a support ticket for whatever reason. After an agent contacts you, you can start an email conversation from there, regardless of your ticket's supposed purpose.

I know this is a bad system for support, I've fallen victim to it but now all my money is away from Xapo. Also, don't use their old support email address because it's no longer answered.
