Big Vern's pools get such high hashrates because they work properly. If you want other pools to get a decent share of the hashrate, make some that aren't shit. The dontmine.me pools were good too, but they are no more.

I recently opened up a 0% fee p2pool for WDC seems to be working properly:

http://107.20.187.147:9500/static/

Same basic configuration, minus the fee, of the DGC pool I've been running for days:

Would love to have some more traffic on the WDC one.  Never hurts to spread out the bandwidth some.

Hey Guys,

I was generally hoping that the hashrate would be a temporary spike and that other pools would open up or people jump to the next coin.

A 51% attack takes 2 things to happen:

1. Must have control of over 51% - which the pool did indeed have
2. Malicious intend of the person in control of that 51% - which indeed I DO NOT have.

I have never, and will never even attempt to break a chain.  Period.

That being said, I certainly do have some programming to do in order to prevent the next big pool from doing this all over again.

I don't think he intentionally let it get that way. His has rate has stayed relatively the same, it's the global hashrate that has fallen. Users could also recognize this, and move themselves. 2 or 3 bigger farms moving could rectify this rather quickly

Happy wdc blockchain splitting. If this will not split now it will happen in the future. This alt coin is doomed to fail. Dont blame the pool. Blame the developer.

This coin is doomed.  If it has the possibility to split with only ~1800mh/s, what will happen if it grew to 10,000mh/s -- it would fork constantly.  It's a bad design and doesn't have a developer, someone just cut/pasted it together from litecoin src.  The github account was created on 14 May.  It's a complete scam, milk it for what you can -- but don't invest in it.

uhh if it grew it would only become better lol

You don't no shit.

The network hashrate size is irrelevant. It's the ditribution of the hash. It's not good for any coin to have a pool with a huge amount of hash power, but for a coin with 15 second blocks the limit should really be 30-35% max of the network hashrate. Now go back to school and leave the real talk to the adults with money.

MH/S are irrelevant. The problem lies in the fact that the majority of the MH's are concentrated on a single pool. 10,000 mh/s spread across a lot of pools would be fantastic for the coin.... o_O

His pools are realy good they work great.
What he can do about price there would be someone else who will open the pool and the same thing will happen.

Take notice people. This is what happens when you comment without knowing your ass from a hole in the ground.

There is a very high possibility of blockchain splitting even @ 40% hashrate.
