It feels bad when there are victims that downloaded those fake app/extension of ledger wallet. They have been reminding us to be careful of these phishing sites.

https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/ck6o44/be_careful_phishing_attacks_in_progress/

But too bad that only a few people visit their official Reddit and channels.

Edit : Sorry for the misconception guys. Have edit the OP

The way it was originally written really looked like it happened to you personally, anyway thanks for the edit Wink

If I am not mistaken, every legit Ledger wallet package has this piece of paper inside it.

And not only in English, the Ledger Nano X I bought last year has instructions in all world's major languages, and it's really a bit unbelievable that someone goes to seek help through unofficial channels.

OP can you please tell us where she bought it how exactly she was a victim of scamming .

It is not about where device is bought, it is probabaly legit Ledger HW - but problem is that she is type seed words in hacker site, and in that way lost all coins. It looks something like this -> Ledger Fake Site/s - Seed stealers!

Is it a potential currency or a shitcoin? I checked on coinmarketcap and it is rising  Roll Eyes

It's a complete utter shitcoin but regardless, still a waste of money for the dude who got hacked. I don't like ETH, but losing an equivalent of 365 ETH is no joke.

Nowhere in there does it say that in case you need help or assistance you go to Telegram. It does not even say refer to Google for any specific instructions.

And giving away wallet information? That's the opposite of what a hardware wallet is all about. Ledger wallet is supposed to be synonymous with basic security. Everybody shouldn't miss that.

These are all simple matters of common sense.

How would people know where and when to stay away when you didn't state what really happen. Base on what I read in your post, it seems you are a victim of such scheme. You should be clear on explaining what really happen so that many people will know what to do when they are in the same situation as yours.

OP's way of sharing is really misunderstood, I thought he was the victim until I read the post on Twitter  Roll Eyes A classic trick  Roll Eyes Once again confirming that not everything advertised by Google is secure  Roll Eyes This forum actually is the only place where reputable website/wallet/people are advertised Tongue But look at the money he lost, HEX. Is it a potential currency or a shitcoin? I checked on coinmarketcap and it is rising  Roll Eyes

OP, are you actually the guy referred to in that Tweet? Or are you just sharing this?

Could you please clarify what happened, and what site it is about? I ask you this to protect others who may become victims of the same scammer and that we can report that site to Google as phisning.

If I got it right from the post, your got your Ledger only recently, and you only lost that altcoin mentioned in tweet. But I see it is a more substantial amount, so I'm sorry for your loss.

From this quote alone: "When I need some help I started to google and ended up at a false telegram chat where I was linked to a site where I unfortunately without thinking gave them my information"

I'm guessing the victim had a certain problem with his/ledger, did a Google search concerning the problem, downloaded a fraudulent software, and entered in his/her wallet's mnemonic phrase. I guess it's a safe assumption as probably 90% of the cases are like this.

P.S. I was wondering why the Tweet didn't load. Refreshed 3 times, and noticed that it was from Richard Heart lmao. I don't even remember saying something negative about the HEX shitcoin.
@ Lucius, mk4 was right but i find the new on but did a deep search about the source because some crypto related article writer post fake news sometime and later find out that it was posted by Richard Heart and i decided to post it on here for newbies aware because the fake ledger wallet scam is many these days.

I visited your web site and see that you have various skills, maybe you can offer some of them in the forum Marketplace.

A lady was a victim of fake ledger google extension scammer and i will advise you guys to be more careful and be sure about the genuinely level of the site you surf through on your computer. Below is the victim message

"Hi, I'm Kye and I'm one of those stupid people that fall victim for the Ledger Wallet Scam. I had just got my Ledger by mail and were happy and blue eyed. When I need some help I started to google and ended up at a false telegram chat where I was linked to a site where I unfortunately without thinking gave them my information.
