This informarion aware us that even airdrop can be scam. Thank you for posting and warn us about this because eneterung private key is risky because they have chance that your wallet open by the hacker. First of all I did not join any airdrop I don't know why because even you get few token that's not have value and maybr your wasting your time.

Lol most of the airdrops are actually scam. Yet good thing about airdrops is that most of it are free and yes you can really get good amount of tokens from this. What you should be more careful about is the self drop which is more risky since you are going to send amounts in exchange to that certain airdrop coin which can be a scam

I am joining many airdrops.
i dont care if it is a scam as long as the work is minimal.
I only join airdrop with out any requirement of downloading their wallet or passing some KYC.
just be safe as always...

NEVER USE YOUR MAIN WALLET.
make sure to have your airdrop wallet alone on this.

Today i received an email

"The Anatomia Token distribution is now live for all verified users.
So far, we have officially distributed tokens to over 10,000 verified users.

If you haven't received your 10,000 ATOM tokens, complete your KYC verification process now to claim your tokens.

Complete KYC

Please note that the KYC verification process will be discontinued in 5 days.
Exchange listings are currently being scheduled by our team to make sure ATOM gets listed in mid-July.

Best regards,
Anatomia Team."

If you click the link , a form will open. There you will find a link to sign message with myetherwallet. This link is not real myetherwallet. ie  it is myetherwàllėt    CAREFULLY see the dots in characters.

It is a SCAM. Be careful before you enter your private key in any website.

Last night I received the same mail they were offering me something big all they wanted my private key, big LOL

I didn't care about it and left the message without paying much attention towards it as you receive 100s of these messages daily from scammers.
This is why i do hate up on using my main email when i do make any sign ups online which i do make use of dummy ones to prevent or avoid on getting pissed with these kind of emails.
For us we would able to detect it out directly but there are still some people do get victim on these kind of phish emails but we would eventually learn from our mistakes.
Just always put up on our minds that when it comes to private keys we should only be the one who will know about it.

i got many email that using airdrop for scamming people
i'm glad that i always bookmark myether address and using metamask for the login
It's a very smart choice for you, and I advise people to use MetaMash to protect their MEW wallets because scams always target the cryptocurrency market. I have learned that hackers have taken over the assets of crypto investors. Caution is needed in this market.

Airdrop Anatomia that's a scam. It does not have a web or any other information. The email will ask you to log into a fake MEW page. You only need to log on and your entire property will disappear. Very good when you have warned.

Many people don’t know what is scam and how they will affect us this is the reason for in experience from many people to invest a lot of amount in something but in our times we had a success failure also you see hope for many people so I think scams are not made he will be affected by scams .

As i see here many say they hate airdrops or airdrops are worthless, but it is not true.

I participated in few hundred airdrops and atleast i got 10 airdrops to be beneficial in terms of monetary value. Some i have encashed some and some i kept.

Only thing is when the prices are up 2 or 3 times,  i did not sold the big ones in hope of getting big profits (once the amount reached $6500 in total), but the state is fully reversed now.

Though i am waiting for the next big rise and want to sell immediately.

JUST waiting for the time.

So airdrops are really great for newbies with no money to invest in trading.

But at any second beware of scam airdrops and don't ever enter private key in any form or any fake websites and save your little or big assets.

Yep that surely a scam because of dotting letters in URL, too bad that many scammy airdrops nowadays so careful what you filling up because some of them want to know your information mostly the email and the private key of your myetherwallet.
Exactly, nowadays there are a lot of scam airdrops, so we should be careful when we participate in them. As you said there is little airdrops which required some personal details like name and email and sometimes the private keys which it's too scammy. People should be smart and don't participate in any random bounty airdrops, at least you should read peoples' reviews to understand that is legit or not.

Actually, I hate the airdrops because  many people  are easily fooled through their  high fake  value,  and due to the majority of people are very greedy, so they lose a alawys their money  because of  those  scammers and cheaters. We must be careful guys before choosing the right ICO for Airdrops.
Unfortunately, the scammers are everywhere in many fields, and their number in increase over time. So when you do not have any knowledge in the field if ICO then there is a great possibility that you will be fooled by the scam ICO's . Furthermore,  I saw that many people want to earn a large porportion of money in an easy way and the best example of that is the Airdrop , that is the issue.
Believe me , you cannot  be rich without a big effort in any field.

Good thing that you do already have a good eye when it comes to frauds.
Anything that do ask out a privatekeys or any other signed message or ways that you can input your keys then its 101% fraud or scam. These kind of ways or methods arent new anyways and if you do already have experienced and better knowledge with these schemes then its hard for you to be hacked or lose funds.

Thank you so much for your work on the forum mate. I see really people want to get the free tokens instead of payment and work with bounties. Henceforth finally you will be able to get scammed because of the scam mate.

Please check the information about the project on the white paper and invest on the good ICO project. Then if possible please avoid the airdrops earning completely out.

Sure. This is scam. Too many problems in the crypto market this year. Outside the market are issues related to FUDs and the value of decline. Inside are the ico projects that include airdrop propagation and bounty scam.

This one will gonna be helpful to everyone here.
Interested in Cryptocurrency? Beware of these scams.

There's a lot of fake  websites being made by the scammers. Even blockchain.com have a same fake site which is blöckchäin.com as what I have seen while browsing the net.

2. Watch out for fake websites.

Look for the "secure"  and "https" markers before a website's URL  in your browser.  If they are not there, the website  might be fraudulent. Also,  check for tiny dots under the letters in the url that could be mean the site is fake.

This one could help to avoid being scammed by impersonators or ICO/TOKEN SCAMS

Initial Coin Offering SCAMS
HOW TO AVOID?

Let's define first what is Initial Coin Offering or ICO?

ICO is an unregulated means by which funds are raised for a new cryptocurrency venture.
My idea on ICO is CROWD FUNDING .

Now let's move on how can we avoid ICO SCAM

Crowdfunding is shaping the future of finance. No longer does investment belong to the few and no longer does launching a project mean having to go through all the required conditions of Venture Capital investment. There are now multiple platforms where users can crowdfund their dreams and projects into reality.

Observe this things to avoid it.
  • Unrealistic goals
  • Buzzword salad
  • Whitepaper
  • No Code Repository
  • Team

Unrealistic goals

If the project does have that potential, professional developers will never make such promises. They will let you know about the potential of their project and that’s it. No serious team will ever make a price prediction about their token or claim it can fix the world.

Buzzword salad

“Our decentralized blockchain-based platform will disrupt the landscape of cryptocurrency investment while building a trustless network of pseudonymous users that leverage swarm intelligence technology to provide real world financial services in a tokenized ecosystem.”

Some people may have a tendency to use buzzwords as a means to turn a boring text or announcement into something exciting. However, these will have a certain amount of information on it, even if you have to filter out some of the nonsense. Still, if a project needs to do this, then the project is likely to be as boring as watching paint dry.

Whitepaper

Whitepapers usually explain how the platform works both on the high-level and specifically. This often includes charts, calculations, simulations, specifications and so forth. If your project claims that it is building some sort of decentralized service or token with new features and actually provides no explanation of how it works specifically, then just close the document and walk away.

No Code Repository

This is what matters. Like someone said before “Code is law”. Even if the project announcement and whitepaper are complete trash, you can always count on Github or Sourceforge to put an end to all doubts. If the project provides no link to the code at all or if the project is nothing more than a clone with a few changed lines of code, then it’s not worth your time nor money.

Team

This is very important. Who is behind the project? Is the team made up of well-known members of the cryptocurrency community? Are they known in other areas? Have they been involved in previous projects? If the answer is yes, then this may be an interesting opportunity. Just remember to check if the person is actually aware of the project as scammers may use famous names just to get people interested even though these are not part of the team.
