As of 2:00am GMT 07.07.2013 we have only 7 people registered to purchase 13 tickets (all paid). Registration is closed and we didn't get enough people interested in the event. Therefore, I announce that the raffle for BFL 500Ghs Mini rig is not going to start. Current participants are going to receive their funds back shortly.

Uhm, why dont we use a escrow for this?

Escrow would post a list of 2000  BTC adresses. You will give every ticket a btc address and customer can found them?
Escrow releases the btc after owner has received the asic

Well, that's what I'm doing at the moment - generating addresses and filling the list of participants. If we can find someone else, who can be trusted by the owner and all participants, and willing to do all the work, that's just great  Grin. I already have a wallet with over 1k addresses, but imho there is no need to generate 2k of them, unless people would want to resell tickets. This raffle was not intended for such things.

EDIT: I value trust of 100k+ people of this community for more than 2000btc, which I would like to earn by participating in this event, but if its an obstacle for the event itself, I'm happy to give away my role.

If you used an escrow I guarantee you'd sell a lot more tickets.

Ok, Gigavps will be asked to hold all coins. Meanwhile, I'll handle the registration process. If he agrees to be an escrow, collection address will be posted here.

500 hundred tickets would be more fair, both from the issue of your profit, and the chances of winning. $75 is alot for 0.05% chance of winning. I doubt you will get 2000 sold.

Most model home raffles sell tickets for $100 or more, and they sell *way* more than 2000 tickets...  Smiley  This thing is only worth $10,000 when you consider the date it was sold, but if you had it in your hands today, you could buy a house with what it will mine.

considering i mined most of mine at sub $2.00 per BTC i think its a more than fair gamble. everyone compares to fiat currency when it shouldn't be.  that's bitcoins main issue at the moment. everyone is tying it to usd. also the reason every worldwide currency is currently de-stabilized.
