If you are confused as to how to enter an order with six zeroes in front of the price at QIEX, you have to enter "0." first in the Price box then continue with the rest for it to be legal:

Correct Price :  0.00000040

Wrong :   .00000040

Are there a lot of Christians in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and mainland China that are interested in BBP?

Id say about 80% of our miners back in the day had IP addresses coming from China,
(but just because an IP address comes from a certain country doesnt necessarily mean nationality though)
but I do know Rob got some upset emails in Chinese when mandatory upgrades came out and there was a guy from Hong Kong who posted a few times on the forum

Also Chinese is the #1 spoken language in the world!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_total_number_of_speakers
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_languages_by_number_of_native_speakers

But religion wise, only 2–3% of Chinese identify as Christians
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religion_in_China

Hong Kong is about 11% Christian

Or just script a task it to re-start it every 24H.......

From my experience, such an approach often creates more problems than it solves. Doing something that doesn't needs to be done create more possibilities for failures.
More so when there are stable and proven solutions, like systemd, to keep a daemon monitored and running.

One way of looking at things - until the monitor crashes

I say keep it simple.
Restarts have served me well in IT for the past 40 years......lol

Why do you think CTRL - ALT - DEL is so well known?.......................

I've got an enhancement request - but I won't enter a bug on Github, because it clearly isn't one.

I love the prayer text in the wallet, which is a great reminder. However, when I'm actually having prayer time, it's a little hard to get a list of all the things, and I could conceivably forget one. Is there a way already to dump out the prayer requests, say from the last 7-10 days? Or maybe to click the prayer request text and get the next one in the list? I feel like I could be more effective with a way to get a series of them at once or quickly peruse them.

Yes, you can type 'exec datalist prayer' to see the last 30 days of prayers.  There is a way to go back further, but I'm not sure if we exposed the parameter.

We'll out of our top 100 Rosetta team members, at least 14 are from there (not sure if some listed as "international" are from China)

this is my biblepay.conf for pool.biblepay.org and it is working fine.
be mindful of http (vs purepool https) and poolport line.

at the pool, your home page (if you scroll down) should show hash rate and accepted submissions since last found block.

i've used different wallet addresses on purepool to determine ROI on how much BBP each workerid is generating.
same with pool.biblepay.org

addnode=node.biblepay.org
gen=1
genproclimit=2
minersleep=0
poolport=80
pool=http://pool.biblepay.org
workerid=workorderid
utxooverride=-1

Will 16.0.4 packages be updated for the foreseeable future? I can't seem to run the package on Ubuntu 18 either. Thanks for pre-compiling... it otherwise takes an hour on a beefy server to compile.

Yes, there will be packages for 16.04 in the future, too. I have a lot of 16.04 systems myself and do not plan to update most of the in the next month. End of life for 16.04 is 2021, so I think we will have a lot of users of it until then Smiley

Hi everyone,

for a couple of days I'm trying to build a Ubuntu 18.04 Package via Launchpad, but it fails every time.
My local builds work, but Launchpad can't create a package.

I looked into the build log, but can't identify the reason why it fails:
https://launchpadlibrarian.net/370942292/buildlog_ubuntu-bionic-amd64.biblepay_20180519122901-bionic1_BUILDING.txt.gz

Indeed, I see the warnings and the failed message at the bottom, but why does it happen? Smiley

Will 16.0.4 packages be updated for the foreseeable future? I can't seem to run the package on Ubuntu 18 either. Thanks for pre-compiling... it otherwise takes an hour on a beefy server to compile.

Set the Core Limit for mining (careful too high and this can make the rest of your pc crawl)
genproclimit=3
also don't forget this if your machine is ONLY POBH mining.
minersleep=0

Occasional errors are ok and just noise,  that is showing a count of total errors (not including the valid submissions)  if you see your "share count" going up you should be ok.

[/quote]

ok I see, I haven't seen the shares go up on pool.biblepay.org so that is why I switched over to purepool, getting shares there.
Just hate to see my computer running for no reason.

For POBH mining on purepool

Main computer
addnode=node.biblepay.org
gen=1
genproclimit=3
minersleep=0
pool=https://pool.purepool.org
workerid=BAxTJUyynP5i2paTSe3JWa2XEw9nmc9SBg

Other Computers
addnode=node.biblepay.org
gen=1
genproclimit=3
minersleep=0
utxooverride=-1
pool=https://pool.purepool.org
workerid=BAxTJUyynP5i2paTSe3JWa2XEw9nmc9SBg

While I have your attention, can you increase your apache header size...  I'm still getting occasional 400 errors when submitting shares.

Funny timing, I just increased it 10 minutes ago. Is your our example new or older then 10 minutes? Smiley

Lol Older..  i can run another test for a while though (or your logs can tell you)

Hey guys, questions How to setup config on multiple computers correctly?

On Main computer same wallet and CPID

addnode=node.biblepay.org
gen=1
genproclimit=-1
pool=https://pool.purepool.org
workerid=yQwwRT4NtwBw442eyz37NYTYzyfwxiHLk1

On second computer same wallet and CPID

addnode=node.biblepay.org
gen=1
genproclimit=-1
utxooverride=-1
pool=https://pool.purepool.org
workerid=aQhhs4hh34sdsds235455675gccsdsd
vs having the same worker id on both computers

Set the Core Limit for mining (careful too high and this can make the rest of your pc crawl)
genproclimit=3
also don't forget this if your machine is ONLY POBH mining.
minersleep=0

Error code: on pool.purepool.org
Invalid_CPID Default 4
Illegal_CPID Default 16

Error code: on pool.biblepay.org
CPID_SIGNATURE_INVALID
CPID_HAS_NO_MAGNITUDE

I am getting the CPID, Magnitude, Task Weight, UTXO Weight with values.
Also getmininginfo and exec getboincinfo on console shows up good.

Note: I believe these questions can also help out other people.
Would be extremely helpful if someone can help me.

vs having the same worker id on both computers

Or is it better to solo mine (purepool has been down for me)
addnode=node.biblepay.org
gen=1
genprolimit=-1

second computer
addnode=node.biblepay.org
gen=1
genprolimit=-1
utxooverride=-1

can I use these settings for pool.biblepay?
addnode=node.biblepay.org
gen=1

workerid=biblepayfirstcomputer

addnode=node.biblepay.org
gen=1
genproclimit=-1
utxooverride=-1
pool=https://pool.biblepay.org
workerid=biblepaysecondcomputer

How to clear error codes?

Just to be clear, I have Boinc installed on each computer same user, pass, and cpid on chain.
Biblepay installed on each computer same wallet.dat
Both Boinc and biblepay running

Error code: on pool.purepool.org
Invalid_CPID Default 4
Illegal_CPID Default 16

Error code: on pool.biblepay.org
CPID_SIGNATURE_INVALID

The problem with OpenSSL sounds reasonable. I also just realized that my test build that worked didn't used ubuntu 18.04 but ubuntu 16.04. I'm running a new build right now, to test if it will fail again.

@all users:
Is there anybody who is using BiblePay with Ubuntu 18.04 right now? If so, have you downgraded openssl? Or solved it any other way?

basically in the src/wallet/crypter.cpp
2 functions, BibleEncrypt and BibleDecrypt

comment:   EVP_CIPHER_CTX ctx;
uncomment:  EVP_CIPHER_CTX *ctx = EVP_CIPHER_CTX_new();

change the lines in the function remove the & from &ctx

I don't belive anything in here has changed the last few commits, but compare just in case.

open file: src/wallet/crypter.cpp
change
Code:
