Really, what is all this drama about? And why are some of you so negative and destructive? Especially slovakia, why are you here when 90% of the time you are whining about how bad everything is?

About the pool: As I had written before, I'm working on an alternative pool software. That might help some small users, but it is also true that most power users do not need a pool right now, solo mining is fine for most of them. You can easily find a block right now without a lot of hps in a relative short time. In the near future, it will be more difficult to mine a block and then a pool is more useful, but why whining about a pool most users don't need right now?

And we will see if a pool is even required in the future, with the new great ideas of Rob.

By the way, who said that Robs last name is Chalupa? As far as I understood, that is the name of the developer of another coin (Gridcoin). There are a lot ob Rob/Roberts out there.

Edit: And yes, the pool software on github is old. But you should not use it anyway. It is not really a software that anybody else can use easily, and definitly not a one-click installation. You need do unterstand biblepay quite good to understand it. Don't even try if you have no idea about that Wink

I have a comment about your logo. I see that it isn't symbolyze. I can't imagine your coin's speciality when I see your logo. If you have a logo contest, I will participate and I hope that it will be organised

We had a logo competition not that long ago and this logo was the outcome.  I'm sure if you put forward some good logo proposals though we could have a vote on it, or you could submit an official funding proposal on https://pool.biblepay.org (once you have signed up, click on 'Governance').

Here is an interesting article about David Baker, director Protein Design, Univ of Washington:

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/12/26/science/protein-design-david-baker.html

Since Biblepay already helps orphans, and as I feel - just as Jesus Heals, Biblepay should investigate the healing aspect.   Posing the question:
 What can Biblepay do to heal people?  We can try to cure cancer, using our mining clock cycles.

I'm currently working on the ability to partner with a well known organization that has over 1 million devices computing the cure.  One of these organizations creates cross platform software, running on both linux and windows with a certain secure interface into the distributed computing cancer grid with credit monitoring abilities per server.

I've been in contact with David Anderson, Berkeley for the initial design of the whitepaper.  Now I am contacting David Baker, in hopes that we will come to an agreement for utilization of the "Cancer Computer" software his team has built.  It is already running on over 50,000 servers, so it is well tested already, and the team has many achievements in the area of curing cancer, which I will outline.

Since curing cancer is of paramount importance, I place this project at the highest priority level for Biblepay and will devote 100% of my time and effort into this over the next 2 weeks as we focus on integrating with Univ of Washington and the Cancer Computer initiative into Biblepay core for testnet testing.  This will result in a hybrid of Proof-of-Loyalty/Proof-of-Distributed-Computing for our core algorithm.  Of course, we will vote on all of the important aspects such as : modifying consensus, consensus payment mechanisms, and pool ramifications.  But first, I need to finish the proof of concept.

If the proof of concept is successful, I will modify our roadmap to have a Cancer Fighting release set for June 2018, and move Stratis proof-of-concept back to September 2018.

All credit goes to Jesus, the most high.

FANTASTIC NEWS!
(I am already member of World Community Grid and operating  BOINC software for several  cure related projects. In 2017 started also to connect with Gridcoin. )
It would be wonderful if Biblepay will integrate this kind of operation and algorithm. It is really the Christian way not to spoil computer processing power and energy just out of greed, but to use it very efficiently out of desire to contribute for healing illness.

 I think it will be good to give the highest priority even if this means delaying the other milestones on the Biblepay roadmap.
I am however kind of worried that it will give a lot more work pressure / stress to the developers.
So let us pray the Biblepay development team will be enforced and the financial means will be adequate tot reach and maintain this goal.

It's great to read news about biblepay being used to investigate cures for cancer.  I'm glad to hear of the news.

Meanwhile, I am having a bit of a problem getting my Sanctuaries up and running.  I am to the point of starting it from the controller wallet:
Code:
masternode start-alias aikida3kSanc
{
"alias": "aikida3kSanc",
"result": "successful"
}
masternode status

This is not a masternode (code -32603)

Anyone have ideas on what I need to do to fix it?
Thanks.

I figured it out.  It was from this:  http://wiki.biblepay.org/Create_Sanctuary

6) Now, you need to do this from the Controller Wallet computer: (make sure wallet is unlocked)

masternode start-alias SANCTUARY_ALIAS

If you did it right you will see:

overall: Successfully started 1 sanctuary, failed to start0

status:
alias: MnName result:successful

7) Use the following command to check status:  <-------Here it should read check status on the Linux SANCTUARY WALLET

masternode status

You should see something like:

{
  “vin” : “CTxIn(COutPoint(masternode output, index), scriptSig=)”,
  “service” : “ip:40000”, "pubkey” : “sanctuary address
}

I was running the masternode status command from the CONTROLLER WALLET.  The edit would clear it up a bit.

** Next.Exchange Update! **

Congratulations! We have reached 600 votes on Next.Exchange!
We are only 41 votes away from being on the first page of coins for voting!
Let's aim to get to 750 votes!

The process now:

1. Every Friday Next.Exchange will choose 5 coins out of the ones with 500+ votes. They will then contact the team of the chosen coins and discuss listing procedure.
https://www.reddit.com/r/NEXTexchange/comments/7sn7fl/nextexchange_update_week_of_january_22/

2. THERE IS NO LISTING FEE!
https://www.reddit.com/r/NEXTexchange/comments/7tqc06/2_questions/

I also asked, and it will be possible to go PayPal -> Crypto    AND   Crypto -> PayPal which I think is awesome!
https://www.reddit.com/r/NEXTexchange/comments/7sn7fl/nextexchange_update_week_of_january_22/dtb7dak/

Finally, it looks like for early investors, trading starts pretty much now. They plan to list some other coins in the next two weeks, so it looks like full trading will be working soon!
https://twitter.com/SafexNews/status/958408108518313984

I also believe that they ARE currently accepting new registrations for users.

Thanks! And please keep voting!

This is pretty awesome.  It's the kind of thing I wish others would have thought of (well, there are a few Distributed Computing coins I remember seeing).  The only thing that is a shame is the loss of the PoBH algo, but the gains for all are totally worth it!

We can still use Proof-of-bible-hash for security, since we still need blocks to be solved on a regular basis etc.  Ill add this to the whitepaper.

Tom, I asked SouthXChange for the New Coin Application form so we can get listed quick, and Support sent me an email (alluding to the fact they would list us for the .15 fee) :

Please sign up in our exchange and fund your account.

So I assume if you want to go in and cash those BTC in, and go ahead and fund your trading account, then I can reply and say that you are the ambassador for Biblepay, use this account number, and make us live.

Okay sounds good, but is the southXchange listing "entry" fee 0.1 or is it 0.15? Here's what I got from them ...

"Thanks for contacting us. We can add this coin. The entry fee is 0.1 BTC.

Your SouthXChange Support Team"

Just to make sure I do this correctly ...  I should transfer the 285K BBP to my C-CEX account and convert it to BTC, then transfer the BTC to my southXwest account?

Thanks Tom.  Yes if they said .10, then just go with .10.  Yeah, I would sell the BBP on the exchange and put .11 in your trading account, then follow up from the same mail and say OK Im funded, lets get BBP live!

Thanks dude.

To speed things up I funded my new southXchange account with personal funds to cover the 0.1 BTC entry/listing fee, then sent southX an email to let them know that we are ready to go.

Please check your PM when you have a minute.

SouthXchange is exchange without Volume.

At the very least we just need an exchange where everyone can buy and sell,
C-CEX is live with us but still has new user registration disabled,
CoinsMarkets is still down

Togo thats very relative. You will be not able to sell because there will be no buyers and you will not buy because there will be not sellers without bigger daily volumes. List to this exchange is useless from traders point of view.

There are a lot of people who to buy but currently cant, and there are a lot of miners who want to sell to pay their monthly server costs.
Ive seen both sets of people in the forums, reddit and discord. Im not sure what you are trying to say.

What would you advise as the course of action?

I agree with Togo, I am receiving 5 emails per day (some days) from investors who cant buy BBP because they cannot become a new user at ccex.  If there is truly a demand for BBP, they these users may fuel the impetus to make BBP a higher volume crypto on Southexchange because they will make their own market, as long as southxchange is a reliable exchange.

Sounds right Thomas Smiley or you could send it to Rob,
I guess it depends on who wants to be the point of contact with them (and tell them in the future when there are mandatory upgrades)
