looks like wallet.dat is okay.

quit biblepay

run as administrator:

sfc /scannow

in biblepay folder in %appdata%\..\Local make a copy of folder.

save only biblepay.conf, wallet.dat,  backups and everything else inside folder (this includes peers.dat, SAN folder, etc)

run again:

biblepay-qt --erasechain

also, can you show us your biblepay.conf

I wrote a new article:

Is Proof of Orphan Mining (POOM) sustainable?

The article explain what Proof of Orphan Mining is and goes into details about the economic support of BiblePay using the average USD price of BiblePay (BBP).

Yes, it is. I tried your advice, took older wallet from May 2018 a executed --erasechain. I can see balance increasing whole time until about 8 weeks ago. All income disappear without any sendings.
I do not think I have ever tried PoG because I have not understood how it works. I do not have other wallets neither.
Frankly, I am just a beginner in coins mining. Is it possible I sent those coins somewhere and there is no evidence of it?
I really appreciate all your help and pieces of advice guys.

It should all be there. you are pool mining on pool.biblepay.org ? You were getting regular payments until about one week ago. I don't see the funds disappearing... you could try tools, wallet repair, recover transactions 1

remember to keep backup of all wallet.dat files

Hopefully this is the issue, You are not alone, a handful of people have run into this issue publicly so far, its a bit scary to think all your coins are gone

(I worry about the people who havent upgraded still yet or who did and its at 0 and they just gave up and left)

Good news is that the info is on the latest ANN, its at the top of the wallet page on the website,
it was sent in the website newsletter, and posted on all social media

But not everyone keeps up with things, which is totally okay!

I wonder if a one time wallet warning would help,
if it could somehow detect that old version was updated to a new version, I dont know,

I assume there are reasons we didn't code to auto move the wallet vs having to manually move it

wallet.dat is in a correct folder, I have moved it when upgrading to the new Evo wallet. Everything worked for me till 2019/09/27 it think (last time I have moved bbp from pool to wallet). Then I did not check it for a while and after last update all my BBPs have lost without a trace.

Is this your wallet? https://chainz.cryptoid.info/bbp/wallet.dws?22808.htm

Quit BiblePay and do erasechain again:

biblepay-qt --erasechain

Full details here: https://whitewalr.us/2019/biblepay-erasechain-not-reindex.html

If you re-index from 0 to beginning, maybe your wallet.dat is corrupt and you may need to look under backups and try one of those.

Rename your existing wallet.dat to wallet.dat.backup191011 then copy one of the older wallet.dat in backups and rename it wallet.dat

Never erase any wallet.dat (only rename or copy) until you get a good wallet. Make sure you quit biblepay-qt every time you want to try new wallet.dat

The address from your picture with the transactions looks like small coins came in and went out
from guesstimated wallet looks like your coins are on another address?

Sure your coins arent on another wallet doing Proof of Giving?

Hello guys, could someone help me please? I had 200-300k BBP (not sure exactly) in my wallet but few days (maybe 1-2 weeks) ago they have gone all. I do not understand it at all because when I list my transcactions there are just many incomes but almost no outcomes. I have 1.4.4.9 version of wallet, using Windows. I tried reindex, deleting all files except wallet.dat & biblepay.conf, recommended biblepay-qt.exe -erasechain=1 but nothing works for me. I had a few similar problems in the past but one of the mentioned solutions always helped. Thank you very much.

From looking at your profile history,
looks like you mined back when BiblePay rewarded coins for BOINC science research
https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/volodaj-1931291

If you just updated your wallet since then, the biblepay data location moved,
so you just have to copy your wallet.dat to the new location

I think I found a silly bug in the original Bread Wallet code for Android, that in the case you change from auto to manual mode, then write a non-valid IP (this is an IP that does not host a Biblepay node), and then you go back to auto mode, the app does not sync any more.

I don't know how you realized, but I did put node.biblepay.org:40000 but it wanted an IP address. So, perhaps this is why the automatic sync did not work? I don't recall if I killed the app or not, but I probably did not. Thanks for anticipating my issue.

Jesus Is King.

True.

I think I found a silly bug in the original Bread Wallet code for Android, that in the case you change from auto to manual mode, then write a non-valid IP (this is an IP that does not host a Biblepay node), and then you go back to auto mode, the app does not sync any more.

This is because when switching to auto mode, it does not clean the manual node string properly, and the SPV client sticks to the invalid manual node for peer connection.

This can be solved by just killing and restarting the app, but it might be causing some confusion among Android users of the wallet.

I don't think this is behind sunk's syncing problems but still... I will prepare a new Android version and check if iOS version is also affected or not.

I had this error on a number of machines
They were on a fork

I had to delete all files in C:\Users\myUser\AppData\Roaming\BiblepayEvolution **EXCEPT**  the biblepay.conf file and the wallet
Then start the wallet and wait for re-sync with the network

I had to add this line to the config file: Addnode=198.46.160.252

Hope this helps

I have been receiving an error since last week, no way to fix it:
Code:
Assertion failed!

File:dbwrapper.h, Line 549

Expression: dbTx.IsClean()

I haven't been able to mine since or sync since it started. Any suggestions?

Another user on discord mentioned this exact same error too. The code says something about rollback but I have no idea what that means. You get the Abort, Ignore, Retry option? What happens if you click Ignore?

I wrote an article on how to start the blockchain from 0 erasing the relevant files using the --erasechain parameter.
I included Togo's instructions in the end, along with basic instructions for Linux users.

Now that CamerooneONE sponsorships are due for the month of Oct 2019, now is a good time for a reminder. If Jesus is calling, Cameroon ONE orphans are available to sponsor. In return, you can receive some BBP for the sponsorship.

Details on how to register are here: https://whitewalr.us/2019/biblepay-cameroonone-partnership.html

After you have registered and authorized a child to sponsor, you can pay via BiblePay (BBP) by following the directions here:

im using wallet ver. 1.4.9 64bit / win10(64bit)

My biblepay.conf:
Code:
gen=1
genproclimit=3
minersleep=0
pool=https://pool.biblepay.org
workerid=zupernovato1
workeridfunded=zupernovato2

I have been receiving an error since last week, no way to fix it:

Assertion failed!

Expression: dbTx.IsClean()

It means one of the database files, most likely a block file is corrupted, please restart with:
./biblepay-qt -erasechain=1

This is relatively rare but can happen during an ungraceful exit - while database is exiting it cant flush its state to disk and probably wrote some junk over the last sectors etc.

So if you are all wondering what the devs are working on -- I'm working on a new BiblePay miner.

Just to explain the situation a little more, a year ago when people asked me about possibly separating the miner program from the core wallet, I didnt really like the idea because I felt we would be on track for continually modifying the mining algo to be impossible to run outside the core.  However, I feel that our POBH algorithm has matured to the point where its no longer changing - so as to reduce the risk of someone trying to port it to GPU or ASIC, I feel this is a good time for us to make the move - to make a standalone miner - and give any new devs out there the chance to enhance POBH.  This will also allow us to add stratum support and standardize our pool to be p2p/stratum compatible.  The bbp-miner.exe must be outside of the wallet primarily to fulfill the stratum protocol request (as putting stratum inside the core wallet violates the code of conduct for exchanges).

So, I decided to go ahead and start creating a bbp-miner.exe, and at the very least we will test its performance with solo mining.  Then if it offers an edge over the core wallet, we will then look into making our pool(s) stratum compatible and standardizing the miner to be a code-branch, the pool to be a branch of p2pool, etc, to be compatible with the bitcoin and dash specs in the latest evo code base (for future maintenance).  This part is also important so that we can attract more blockchain devs to the project and to allow us to clean up legacy code and be more fast/lean.

So far, I have ported the KJV bible into bbp-miner.exe, a cross-platform C program, using the AES256, base64, SHA256, X11, MD5 and our getblocktemplate rules.  The miner will work on all platforms, of course.

I'll let you all know as soon as a I have a working solo miner, so we can test it.  If its performance is worthy, then we will move on to making the pool compatible with dash and bitcoin, etc (with p2pool) and stratum.

This sounds good. How does it work with all the ABN weight stuff? I haven't mined since PODC so I'm not exactly sure I am up to date on how it all works right now

It can probably support ABN in the end, although I have to go in baby phases.
First the solo miner, and that will honor the wallets state itself (IE require a valid ABN).
Once we do that, while we are working on the pool software, we can look into making a special stratum call that allows funded abn's (but I have to investigate that more closely, because the p2pool environment is not the same as a centralized pool - the p2pool runs in a more decentralized environment sharing the share chain among a small number of friend nodes - so Im not 100% sure yet on funded abns + p2pool).

But, to simplify things, Im looking into a 'funded pool address' and a non-funded-pool-address.  Then the miner could just point to the correct pool or not and that would simplify setup.  It would probably break the 'hybrid' option we have now, for the sake of simplicity for bbp.
