Paul the head of integrations spoke to the team, and they evaluated that BBP would have a higher volume in the ETHer market.

I discussed this with them for a couple days and pulled for BTC initially also, but in the end, he said coins that trade below 10 satoshi can not be listed in the BTC market initially, and we must trade on ETH.  They offered to *potentially* add the BTC pair after we pass 10 sats and we have to have good volume and ask for this addl move later.

He consoled me that he believes volume will be bigger in ETH, because it complements our base (we are seeking new exposure: Asia plus the ETH market), etc.

That volume you pasted does not appear to be correct:

Ether traded 56mil while BTC traded 61 mil today, and looking at a pair I traded on Tokok that is about the size of BBP (GIN):
They did $8.9K today in BTC and $5.01K today in Ether, so I believe its more like Half of the market for Altcoins (IE when analyzing volume for coins priced < $1.00 USD per share etc).
So from that perspective it does not look entirely dangerous.

On #1, yes, just ensure wallet.dat contains enough for your ABN weight in BBP, then just copy it out to the other miners (and the biblepay.conf) yes.  Then they will share the funds for mining.  Also this alleviates the wallet locking problem where you can leave it mine without unlocking the wallet.

On #2, this is not true about BiblePay being like a casino.  If you go down through the list of POG sorted descending by points, points are earned from a users total coin age and how much they tithed.  So you are seeing that the higher rewards are given to the ones freely giving contributions to help the orphans.  There are also no random numbers in the code for POG, so its very much deterministic - as a matter of fact, the entire reward equation is a simple math equation related 100% to your current coin age and how much you are tithing.  The only reason we added the rule to prevent a person from tithing a certain day and instead let them save up coin age is exactly the same as a person choosing to mine or not to mine.  If our price is only 1 satoshi and we have 500 people mining you may choose not to mine as it would result in a loss.  Thats the same thing here, you should choose not to stake your coin age until it builds up enough to result in a profitable stake.  POG is similar t  o earning interest on your latent BBP.  Bottom line is the people getting the interest are the ones Holding BBP (not in Sancs) and Giving BBP to the foundation.

Two updates:

First, regarding our end of quarter release, containing our new beta features:
This release is on time!  And provides new features for BiblePay!  However, these will be released into Beta Testing in TestNet while we work out the bugs.  The new features will stay in testnet until we feel they are safe to be merged into our next biblepay-core release. 

I also promised a Wiki page explaining these.  The page is partially complete, but I'm waiting on some technical detail results to be added for one of our promised features this year.  I believe I will have that info within 7 days, then I will release the wiki at the earliest convenience.

Second, I have been monitoring governance object propagation and network utilization.  I believe we still have an issue (most likely, a minor leisure fix), that I believe is consuming bandwidth.  We will work on this next as the highest priority.  Please look forward to a leisure upgrade fix.

Yes, it does that today.

The overview page shows that your client is outdated.

(We go by the output of exec versioncheck, and if its behind the last mandatory you get a narrative on the overview page in red).

So its not that they don't know - its that they are doing it on purpose for convenience.

Is it possible to put a notification in the wallet whenever there is a new version.  I'm thinking like a link on the overview page that says "Client out of date - version 1.X.X.X now available."  Something like that.

*** Orphan Partnership Update ***



I've been working with Pastor Joshua in Kenya at HFOC (Hope for Orphan Center) for 90 days.  Although we have gotten to the point close to compliance - where our partner creates a PDF package, bios, liquidates BBP->BTC, accepts letters, etc., unfortunately some elements of the partnership were not completed entirely (for example, creating a forum thread and answering investor questions directly from pastor Joshua to our users).  I wanted this for full transparency so no one outside of BiblePay could ever accuse us of spending even a penny that has not gone to the poor, and true account of each and every orphan.  (And to reiterate, all of our expenses have gone to help orphans with 0 overhead).   (During the interim months I have been manually paying out of my personal account to keep the relationship).

But now I feel the HFOC will need to be closed down, and instead, I feel it is in our best interests to scale up our 501c3 relationships to give our investors more of a warm and fuzzy feeling.

Therefore I have begun to close the relationship with HFOC today.

So please realize we will have some changes to our orphan records appearing in the pool.

Over the last 30 days, I have increased sponsorships with Kairos, as Pastor Andy Scribner has been phenomenal and located some children in desperate need in the Philipines in a very cost effective way - therefore I jumped on the opportunity for us to help them.  

So in summary, we will see a decrease of 26 kids from Kenya, but an increase of 11 kids from Kairos, and an increase of approx. 10 kids from Compassion.

Since we still have a credit at Compassion, I will also ensure we increase our compassion count by at least 5 kids, and then we can reassess our 6 month buffer with Compassion.

We now have 4 new kids coming this week thanks to POOM.  I will look into adding a POOM figure to our pool.biblepay home page also.

I am confused regarding POG, I understand its related coin age, I see few people are getting a-lot of money and most are getting few.

I see these 3 cpk's never registered their nickname or joined pog, so maybe they are either trying to be anonymous, or simply want dedicated cpks for the mining wallets.

I don't know of any way they would be gaming the system since they have to solve the POBH block and come up with the funded abn. 

It could be they had that particular binary conveninent for them on their nodes so they didnt bother pulling the new version.

Id check with Capulo, he stopped pool mining and usually has more than 20 machines and could probably solve at least 15 a day.
