I thought Sydney Thunder batted well. The opening was so strong by them where Jason Sangha made 67 runs while the captain David Warner made 48 runs. He missed his half century by just 2 runs. The first wicket for Sydney Thunder fell when the score was 97. They had a solid platform and they did utilize it well. I don't think they were few runs short, these runs should have been enough to win the final. Had Mitchell Owen didn't played this miraculous type of innings, the match was in their control but unfortunately it was not their day.

The apathy of the batsmen was a big problem in the match. They may have forgotten that if they lose this match, they will have no chance. They will be eliminated from becoming champions. In such matches, batsmen usually try to give the highest target to win. But we did not get the performance of Sydney Sixers in that way. The way the team progressed in the beginning of this tournament, they could not play in the end. That is why they could not play in the final at the end. Most of the batsmen could not bat very well. Their strike rate was very low which is why Sydney Sixers lost the match.
