This is an old thread. I don't know why people insist in answering a question that has lost validity because of the great variation in the current bitcoin conditions and value. But this is just a natural consequence of newbies looking for increase their post count.

$2000 is just 3 times of present value. It might be not overvalued. When the price is $10,000, it is time to sell.

When it is in 2017, $2000 is not overvalued. When in 2020, $10000 is the reasonable price for that year.
yeah, these prices are the ones that we should see soon, i hope that your predictions are correct because in this way i would manage to make a lot of money out of it

Bit pump has not started. But I believe the price will rise slowly to $500 around the halving time.

The big pump has started. The price is $515 in a few exchanges. That is more than 10% higher than a week ago.

still not big pump

small pump maybe, but it's still small

Small pump is good for the long term stable price. The big pump in 2013 caused three years of bear market.

steady increase is better than any pump, bitcoin is increasing slowly, this is good

that's not how adoption works.

Slow growth is not sustainable, nor is it desirable.

Facebook didn't need 50 years to grow from 1 million users to 4 billion users.

Bitcoin won't need to either.

If it goes too slow, bitcoin will die. And as the amount of users increases exponentially, the price needs to increase exponentially as well.

Sure, it will be volatile, but that doesn't matter, that's just the way it is.

And once we reach saturation, only then we can be stable.

This is just not the time for stability.
You can already see now that the value of Bitcoin is becoming higher so that is really nice, but of course you dont even know what will happen later in the future.
And that is the problem but people with Bitcoin already are now holding it until they can sell it with a lot of profit.

I would like to hold the bitcoin for a few more months at least. If the price rise to $2000 in 6 months, I will sell.
though i dont think it is a possible thing to achieve, i would be thinking more about something like 1000 dollars but definitely not the big price you mentioned

This can really be a nightmare, the current price is $640. Within 4 years it is too hard to touch the price $10k. If 2017 hits $1000 then by 2020 the maximum price of bitcoin can be $3000.
Why a nightmare? No one in his right mind expects the price to go up all the way to $10,000 in a matter of 4 years.

It's not only unrealistic, but also beyond insane to be honest.

The most we can realistically expect by 2020 is the price to reach $2000 at most. And even that is quite uncertain.

How many times did the bitcoin price go up? The bitcoin price went up 100 times in the last four years.

Everyone should try to remember that we still have more than 30 days till the halving . the big pump hasne even happened yet, in a few weeks time i expect us to go up and beyond our current price and stabalise.

The effect on the bitcoin price could happen long before the halving date. I think the recent price rise is related.

Most probably since bitcoin hit $400, the effects of the halving could be seen. The halving is a well known topic when it comes to the subject of bitcoin, as there's a huge chance that it will lead to a generous price increase.

After the July halving, the other news could drive the price higher is the SegWit. I heard some pools are testing it.

All the people saying how this was impossible have been rendered idiots. Now, when the price corrects a bit, will start screaming armageddon, its the end! and that is just coming from a $594 correction which will last a short period of time before we go $600+, but people never learn, FUDsters are so pathetic.

When the price drops 20% in a day, it is very normal for the bitcoin. When it rises 20% in a day, I am not too excited either.

I hope the bitcoin user will increase steadily, so is the price. But there will be no pump and dump of the coins.

You see now indeed that the value of the Bitcoin is rising slowly and that is really nice of the Bitcoin because many people are now also waiting until they can sell it so that would be nice.
But you need to wait for a higher value so you can earn some more money with Bitcoin.

Dear friend

BIG PUMP STARTED

Price go to $400 in next 7 days.

After $400, back to $1,000 before 2016.

Start again now.

after some time, price still rises and price now is larger than 500$, if i am correct price is 550$ now so this is very, very large price actually, and this rise won't stop here

this pump is very large because many people buys bitcoins, they want to buy many of them before halving to sell them for very large price after halving so this is reason of this pump

I wish the price to be around $570 for the next few weeks. Too fast price rise is not good for the medium term.
