I was trading in IDEX since six months, i never faced any issue.

You did not face any problem because you are lucky enough or because you were not the chosen one, but other peoples did not feel the same thing.
talking about shady exchange, i just remembered Poloniex. a lot of people were angry because they did a lot of shady thing just like unclosed margin, withdrawal issue and many more.
but some people were defending it because they were fine with it, but now ? everything is revealed and users moved out of that exchange
in the end, there is no fire without smoke.

always see the thing from two different view.

It seems that what you say is true because a few times I have traded on IDEX feel slower than other trading platforms. For example, withdrawing money from your ETH wallet may take some time

do not overly aggravate the situation, an exchanger system must experience interference. maybe it's just a minor annoyance or server down, or the need for repairs and more. therefore I think that you should not be too cornering an exchanger

i already see what u mean about red flag.
i think its just error
because , i just wondering , how the buying order have a higher prices than selling order.
well
its not like forkdelta btw ,
so i just think that just some error.
There is really no error there, as this is just someone that probably is the one making the error actually which I am sure such a person will probably find out and quickly remove the ask price. That is a huge one compared to the current market price.

Nevertheless, it is nothing to be worried about considering that IDEX will most definitely not have anything to do with this since it is a decentralized exchange and I would not be raising too much of an alarm actually because of that or calling it a red flag. It is just a market and someone is outbidding in the market as far as I am concerned, either knowingly or mistakenly.

We should understand that manipulation is something that happens generally with all of us as traders, and this has nothing to do with one particular exchange like IDEX. This is just some traders trying to possibly instigate some movement in the market by trying to manipulate the FTEC price anyway. I understand what OP worries, it is nothing new and it happens every time even on centralized exchanges, however, for the fact that IDEX is even a decentralized exchange, it makes manipulation even a lot easier.

For the fact that this is an unregulated space, and even at that, for the fact that it is an exchange that is decentralized.
I guess that's not fair if there's manipulations happening with that exchange site. Holding or parking your coins is discourage in their, because you might notice you'll be out of gas due to dump orders will flood which will cause delays on your higher price bid sell order.

I have been trading on IDEX for so long, I didn't have any problems but maybe I was just lucky. Anyways, thanks for the caution, will eventually take care when dealing with IDEX.

The problem in the exchange must be there, and that is certainly the team will overcome it, but if you do not get the trust of the merchant then the IDEX exchange will be reduced and it will disappear by itself. IDEX's reputation has declined and this is very unfortunate.

I think this should be mentioned here, as i found a very dishonest behaviour of idex which could affect to the trades of the most non experts. please take a look at the link to know more.

By the way.. if you want to have a great token in your portfolio, try to catch FTEC (if you can, as no one wants to sell... they will have all modules operating soon, and then, with its ridiculous low supply, it will be a blast..)

Why are use flagging this, this is a common occurence with most exchanges, I for one believe IDEX is not a decentralised exchanges most of their actions there suggest so. I have seen this in most exchanges and I am one surprised. Those people using API bots usually cause this when they want to cause pump of their tokens. I remember the hey days of Poloniex

Yeah I don't think this is dishonest behavior, you actually can find a lot of similar situations with many tokens, especially those with very very low volumes and very thin orderbooks. That is the nature of supply and demand. No demand, and too much supply, then the spreads between buy and sell orders are really wide. Idex isn't controlled like that anyway, you see the same things happen on centralized exchanges just as easily.

I ask a lot of people about that exchange and they didn't give a good feedback about that exchange site. It is better to stick around good exchange sites like Binance and KuCoin. But this is actually surprising because the only bad feedback I received from the people whom I asked is because the prices are low in IDEX.

Big question for idex they call decentralized exchange, i dont think idex is decentralized exchange, it mentions you can submit a token to be listed on the IDEX. But isn't that a centralized control of who gets listed or not?
yes you are right, idex is not fully decentralized exchange, i read news about idex  blocking order  from new york user on 25th October. If any decentralized exchange can be pressured to block anyone, it is not actually decentralized.

I have never ever had a problem selling on Idex, sometimes you need to refresh the page because it lags and then you see the previous tokens orders in the new tokens order books. I have had that happen to me and that may be due to lag, especially if the exchange is under stress. I never had a problem putting money in or tokens out and it has always worked for me, except for times when they went under some maintenance.. There is nothing fishy about idex at all, not form my end anyway so, I will continue trading there as and when I need to buy or sell some coins.

3... 2... 1... Launch!
I've never seen anything like that happen on IDEX before and it's not likely the exchange operators are manipulating the order book

Perhaps someone made a large buy and the book was slow in refreshing so it was momentarily displaying data incorrectly or a buggy API could also be the cause

Such errors happen on many other exchanges. I think its not a red flag for traders, its casual situation.

That's why it looks so easy to do any pump on idex, that's a bug that the developer of idex doesn't even solve that problem. Remember a lot of cases that already happened with others that their money have disappeared.
I know that and i will expec a huge pump in FTEX because basically the manipulation will be started.

Well, thanks for the reminder. I've not ever been in trouble using idex. They're one of the best decentralized exchanges in this current state of crypto andnso i do respect them.
But you're totally right, man's got to watch his back always, or else you.may be attacked.

I personally never had seen any trouble or issue with idex as i do use it for trading erc tokens, there may be some errors or bugs as they are continuously improving the platform, sometimes low volume for any pair can also be the reason of some errors.
