I also think the Alts market will recover after the segwit2x drama Tongue

I don't think we'll see another rally this year. Possibly in December once the second fork is over, but more then likely not.

I am hoping recovery starts shortly after Segwit2X fork...late November.  Counting on a shocking recoil for many but probably many "shit coins" will not survive this round.  Maybe for the best.

It is a pattern that is repeating itself and we may actually see a big rally from today before end of this month and from there some of them will correct and recovery and make some gain. Bitcoin has retracing a bit to $5810 and ethereum to $286. I think this time around after the splitting we may see bitcoin above  $7000 and ethereum close to $600. I still believe that now is still the best time to buy most of the coins as there are very cheap now.

No good way to know what kind of alt rally we will get after Bitcoin gold fork
and after Segwit2x fork. This altcoin selloff is already overdone so a good bounce is
at least expected.

I think NEO is a good shout for a strong rally. I is in fact the Ethereum of China. The team behind it is very professional. In time when more start ups use its smart contracts then it will only take one or two big successes to propel NEO up to same leagues as Ethereum and Bitcoin.

Looking at what happened after bitcoin cash was done. Btc crashed hard and alts mooned.

I think later this week we will see exactly the same thing.

Yeah, the most alts are really red in the last time and the most dumped to old bottoms. the people are also scared aout buying altcoins, thats a good sign for soon bottoms. Hold strong my friends Smiley

I feel like we are in the same situation we were with Bitcoin Cash fork. All the alts crashed because people sold them off for BTC to maximize the amount of Bitcoin Cash they got. Shortly after the fork, all the alts bounced back -- some of them to new ATH.

I am confident the same thing is going to happen this time -- or at least a similar scenario. HODL your alts and accumulate more during this dump!

let's wait and see after the segwit2x  this november, a few weeks after this segwit, there will be a big rally of ALTS, maybe Chinas NEO or the old brother litecoin and ethereum will be the biggest rally before year end. bitcoin  gold will be dipping i guess after segwit as it is not much adopted to some users as it is backed by  only for traders and whales. altcoins rally will last about 2 months i guess, but ethereum has the biggest potential as the king of alts.

I can see alts rising when Bitcoin begins to retrace. Its a good time to buy bombed out alts, but I think that once they spike you'll have to have an exit strategy as most of them will dump back down again. Only a select few will keep on rising... theres not many alts I like maybe 1 or 2

I am sure we will see serious rise in the altcoins 3 days later, people have already started talking about this
It seems to me that growth after this small market crash will take place only in time and it is not so close to the future.

I don't think the rally will happen until Segwit2X fork is finished.

I don't really know. Bitcoin is surely going to be declining after fork. All people will go back to their favourite altcoins. Is it gonna be big? I have doubts. Some people lost patience with alts.

Yea I also think that. The amount of the BTC rise surprised me a bit. I hope the alts will compensate for it in the next weeks

Yes, most alts are overdue for a rally. Bitcoin gold out of the way as well as Chinese
5-yearly party meeting ending next week can help.

This kind of thinking is kinda the same with the 'Gambler's Fallacy'.  Just because something happened the last time doesn't mean it's gonna happen again.

It's like a coin flip, just because the coin dropped face up at evens 10 times in a row doesn't mean the next toss is gonna be odds.

The market is gonna what its gonna do.  The important thing is to be ready.

You are right. But there is reason to assume that money will flow back into alts. Some Alts, which I consider to have some fundamental potential, have seen huge losses over the last few months/weeks. If Bitcoin is dipping after the fork, it is likely that some money flows into those Alts. Even if Bitcoin does not dip, it is likely that some re-invest a part of their gains in Alts (although I see most gains being realised into Fiat).

im not sure i understand the OP's statement but here is what I believe
there are or have been a lot of trades into bitcoin from some altcoins
ahead of this fork and for the next one next month in order to get
free coins.

After the fork we may see those same funds revert back to their origin
in order to buy those tokens cheaper than they were sold at to buy bitcoin
which will affect the whole market

Biggest alt coin rally so far is ethereum. The next big thing is bos coin or exscudo in my opinion. You can cjeck their blog they are really qorking on the project just like ethereum did. Unlike tezos which get a bad rumor. I believe boscoin will spike after the launch in this end of the month. And after main net launch at q1 2018 it will worth $5 at least
