In early 2018, I had very big portfolio of 15+ coins consisting mostly of ICO tokens and shitcoins. Though I have cashed out most of them but I still regret for not cashing out at the right time when the market was at peak. If the market ever booms like that, I will take the profits at the right time and won't be greedy.

from the experience that I have gained a lot of benefits from altcoin, but that I can get from the last year in 2017, and now it has been running for 2 years has not gotten too much profit anymore because of the terrible market conditions and all my assets are stuck at expensive prices right now all I can do is hold back until the price goes up again.

I also had very big portfolio in early 2017 when ICX touched $12 and Ethos went up to $10 than it brought a lot of money to me but at the moment I'm still holding some tokens but value dropped very badly so it is not in big size but enough for next bull rally.

What's the biggest altcoin portfolio you have ever come across?
For me, it is 25K xrp, 4.5k eth.

That's amazing having this kind of portfolio is very hard to achieve especially if you are newbie. Maybe you just keep on buying that's wht you reach that amount of xrp and ethereum. Even if you are newbie if you rich you buy that amount of xrp and ethereum. But, make sure you conduct your own research before you invest in xrp and eth. In my portfolio you can see4 altcoins which are btc, xrp , eth and bnb but, most of my funds are in bitcoin.

Buying Altcoins is actually very good, it can give you quick and insane profits that Bitcoin can't give. And to top it all, it doesn't take much time. But learning not to buy shitcoins is another thing. It's Very nice seeing such testimonies. Alot of people who bought some good alts before the 2017 bull run actually made a very good profit.

But the risk is higher also, buying bitcoin is guaranteed for long investment like 2 years or more.
While buying altcoins is for quick profits or day trading.
Either bitcoin or altcoins are good, depends on what the purpose
Bitcoin is for investors who want to make a long-term profit and don't have to worry too much about the volatility of this market as this is the only option they have. If you choose to invest altcoin, it is best to make a reasonable investment plan because altcoins tend to decrease more and often increase only when good news appears. I personally choose both ways to make a profit but I only spend 20% of my assets investing altcoin.

This market has a lot of big changes and if you do not catch up with other traders then you will definitely be a bait for them to make money.

It really huge amount of money, but may I know when you came to start investing to both altcoins? If you came when before 2017, then I believe you'll earn a lot of money on them but you don't you'll be someone who has found a great lost on this industry.

The both of coin price just slumped down hardly even I followed the marketcap everyday and the price XRP just meet a decrease price so far. I came to this place just only bought 1 when its price has touched $1000 2017 ago. Thus far, if I count I still get a lose but I still holding it since I believe the price of ETH has a chance to recover.

Many investors here in this forum had a lot of coins in their collection as they invested during the initial phase, i invested $10k during the ICO period and those who were in the market during that time knows that how many coins you will be having if you invest that much Cheesy. So these are not unusual amount and i was mining too and i made a ton of profit with ETH alone and that was the biggest profit in my entire life.

Wow that's immense!
Ether and fork deltas have 24k Ether in their balance, this guy can manipulate some low volume exchange with this amount of ETH.

4.5k ETH? are you kidding me
You are a shark that can manipulate the market for that money. Hope you will not sell it in the coming days to make the market perform better.
my biggest altcoins portfolio is only $ 2k, I invest all in ETH and it's 16 ETH.
That's a good start

Just try searching Binance on Etherscan and you will be surprised to see the results. The biggest portfolio are usually hold by exchanges. There are over 1000 coins worth more than $200M on Binance's ETH address.
Just checked it out, thanks for letting me know the website.
Tbh, I won't be surprised by an institution like Binance to have gazillion coins, but this is a random bloke I was talking about who started really early and is reaping the benefits now.

Wow, I'm impressed by that guy. Did he told you how he has managed to acquire that huge wealth? before it might not that be as big as he thinks but now the value is enormous. Does this means that until today, he is holding this number on his portfolio? I'm sure that he's still continuing investing to different altcoins that he might find interesting and is buying huge quantity again waiting for the right time to harvest it. These investors that has this huge portfolio chooses to remain lowkey.
He started really really early. 14-15 maybe. Yes, he is still holding this and he has a good number of bitcoins as well.
I think that he will still be investing in altcoins considering the fact that his portfolio is big and the type of guy he is, he would surely be.
He is not very vocal about it though, we were taking for a while so he showed his portfolio.

@TO ALL
It's not my portfolio this is someone I came across in a crypto meetup in Fort Lauderdale. The guy was from New Delhi, India. I can't remember his name. He started investing in cryptos in 2014-2015.

It is amazing that you put all your faith in altcoins right now.  Altcoin seems unable to grow during this period because BTC has too much appeal to investors.  Most of them will choose BTC because they want high profits.  But perhaps it will be even worse when you choose ETH for your investment as it has stabilized in the market for nearly half a year now.

you have to be real crazy or ultra rich (as in a billionaire) to dump that much money into altcoins that don't have any future and have a guaranteed hard price drops in their future. specially when the real investment meaning bitcoin is there and has been always outperforming everything else by a big margin.

He is Indian. What do you expect.
