i feel like these kinds of videos are what bring people to bitcoin in the first place

there's a whole bunch of different people here ;>. In my case something else brought me to bitcoin and the people here openend my eyes to the stuff talked about in the video (and more).

i love conspiracy vids etc, and lately there has been some btc exposure in some of the youtube vids,
wich prob has brought allot of attention to the comunity.
but what brought me to btc was friggin honorbuddy lol

(wow bot if some ppl aint that nerdy Tongue )

honorbuddy?

like the last line that you even quoted says, world of warcraft bot Tongue they started taking btc as payment a while ago Smiley

No Risk No Gain.

so true, just wish more site`s where willing to implement btc as payment. tryed emailing the few norwegian online computer stores about it.
they think its not "safe" enough.

not sure if they ment it`s not safe cause of the price fluctuation or that they are just worried they will get hacked or sommn...

In my view, Bitcoin is the giant rabbit hole where fiat currencies go to die, as you all buy Bitcoin with fiat, but generally don't sell Bitcoin back for fiat (unless you need the money, like, now).

In other words: Bitcoin might be the first instance of good money driving out bad money.

ive said this for years, get rid of the monetary system, make the banks into something usefull, youth centers or homeless shelters etc
and demolish the fed / world bank!... for a system like this to work the money need to take value from something like gold, and not be made out of thin air....

Yeah I just learn about this and I didn't know that most of people here already know. We must find a way to reach a massive amount of people to learn them about this and the bitcoin alternative.
Unfortunately, Bitcoin is still too complicated to grasp for most people, and too dangerous. They're not security experts, they're mostly dumb fucks (pardon the french) when it comes to securing their data. We can't blame them, the Average Joe is just not into this kind of stuff.

I think Bitcoin has to evolve a bit more (in terms of client usability, and ease of securing your money) before it's suitable to be picked up by the masses.

Honestly, I completely agree with this

Whilst I agree that this is all true, the talk in this thread about replacing the current system is slightly nieve.  The entire economic system is build on credit.  You wont replace that because a new form of Gold has been discovered (which is basically what BTC is).  There will be a lot of pain before the curent system can evolve into something fit for purpose, and unless you are paid in BTC, spend olnly BTC and have all investments n BTC, you should be careful what you wish for.

Well, maybe your right (hope not) but for now on, bitcoin is the best alternative we ever had.
