This is insane. This theft will probably be the biggest scam in Bitcoin, ever.

Holy shit, but he ended up in jail so no win for him.
What happened with the BTC?

I never followed the case but im sure someone else did. 'Probably had assests seized.' Not sure really

^ Is this the real TF, or his account has been hacked or traded?
Most likely sold. Posting from that account is pointless actually.

What makes you guys think it was hacked or sold? He's defending the service. The account would probably be worthless to someone else anyway.

Why do he need to come make a defense, when he has gone and nobody can find him in real life?

He was posting weirdly once he came back. It might still be him, we can't really know. His account is useless to him now anyways.

The title of this thread says it all. So who do you think it was?

P.S. don't say Mark Karpeles cause he was never in this forum.

Good job making claims you know nothing about.

It is a know fact that mark karpeles was known on the forums as magicaltux.

Wow what noob OP is lol  Grin Grin Grin

When he first returned he was making posts that were out of character, didn't seem like him. Probably is him, he probably never left, just switched accounts and logs back on the TF account every once in a while.

I don't have a clue who it could be but I find the whole discussion interesting and pretty informative.  Would be nice to hear what other think

I can't think of a more worthless reply, enjoying Stunna's new rates?

Hey TradeFortress,
I'm still trying to settle something with you regarding funds that I lost when Inputs.io was hacked. Can you please PM me so we can work something out? I would really appreciate a response of some sort.
Thanks.

There's a difference between a service that was hacked (which is something that can happen even if you place great importance on the security), and a scammer.

Pirateat40 was who I first thought of as well, but you also should adjust for the USD figure as well.  The bitcoins pirate stole were worth a lot less than the ones that Mt. Gox "lost".

While https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-of-major-bitcoin-heists-thefts-hacks-scams-and-losses-576337 attempts to do this, it notes it is outdated.

Stay safe.
He is doing his best to keep it updated. It has most of the scams anyways.

if you want something do something!!!
it would be good if we can also mention the amount of BTC scammed by the members mentioned..!

You can see details of big theft and scams here.
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/list-of-major-bitcoin-heists-thefts-hacks-scams-and-losses-576337
wuhh... now that's a huge list ..!

there is still a lot of scammer which is not included on that list Cheesy
well i think that would be a list of bigtime scammer and those who are not on the list which is the smalltime only has become the laughing stock on this forum

That list is only for big scammers, and you can find a dozen of scam attempts every day (mainly in lending section).

yeah i agree that is why when you need a laugh just go to the lending section because there is a lot of clowns out there specially those suck puppets which is obviously is one of the scammers account Cheesy
