Very rarely, I used to send funds through Pay ID. So I haven't encountered this issue at all. When I intend to send funds to another user, I send them through email. Of course they are my known person; otherwise, they won't share their email address with me. However, thanks for sharing it with us. I wasn't aware of this. It would help new users who aren't very experienced. By the way, holding funds in a centralised exchange isn't advisable anyway.

Is this what I would have experienced if I had updated my Binance exchange app? For some days now, I have been receiving notifications to update my Binance app, and I have been ignoring it due to not having enough internal storage on my phone.

I only update if there is significant security threat issues, apart from that I do not chase developers of any app to get the updated version of the app.
As for the instructions Op gave, I believe that there might be a shorter way to do that. Maybe OP did it their way. Why I said so is that whenever there is new app update, the developers always have user friendliness in mind while updating their app. The latest version should be more user friendly, if the reverse is the case, you know that one of the aim of versioning is defeated.
Besides, the Binance interface is not complicated like the DEXs, so anyone can handle Binance pay no matter how often they update it.

I have my binance account parked for so long and reading all the instructions as well is making me confused a lot. But reading the insights of everybody here made it easier for me that if it's just for internal transfers from Binance user A to Binance user B then that's easier to understand it. I don't use the app but only the desktop version so probably I don't need to think of this confusing update that they've made but still I have to check this update out if it's the same as the web version. Anyway, still thanks for the heads up OP.

I think this doesn't require both details at all times, today I tried sending btc using the Binance pay ID I was surprised to see that they didn't request for the last two digital of the receiver pay ID. Just that is requesting it only for the first time and after which the next transfer they don't asked for any ID to proceed payment.
In that case, it could be that Binance uses the ID to bind the account as a safety mechanism for first timers if it never gets to ask for it any further. That won't be any stress if that's the way.

However you can change your Binance app to lite instead of using Pro version and it mostly confused user who are not yet that familiarized with the new environment just as they did post update on their official Twitter (x) page.
Oh, maybe that's why I haven't got that issue then as I use the lite version of its app. Again, I think I'm better off not updating my app. I hate stress.

It's no deal you can still switch between the two version of the app, whichever that is more convenient with you to use then you can use them without having any issue just that as the user you should be able to be friendly with the both interface without making mistakes or finding it difficult to use. Most times it's stress me it seems like some things got missing from the app so I don't usually preferred using it that way. Whenever you want to transfer to whom you have never transferred before then they will asked you to strongly recommend that you know whom you are sending to, otherwise not to misplaced funds since they noticed most people do not understand how to use that section of their service or maybe someone has lost huge funds.

I wanted to drop this topic in Local Board but I thought of it that it will be a beneficiary to many outside the local board. The main content of the topic is that, the upgraded version of Binance recently use two IDs to send bitcoin or USDT.
First you copy or type the pay ID then after when you input the BTC unit or the USDT figure, you click next and it will ask you to type the last two digits of Binance ID and not pay ID so the recipient has to send the two IDs to the sender and make sure you should indicate Pay ID and Binance ID so it will not confused the other people. Both the Pay ID and Binance ID.
Okay.
Thanks for this.
This is for Binance internal transactions if I am not wrong. Right?
I have yet to do any transactions internally. But will remember this when I want to. It's a lot of process though but good for the security of their clients coins. Once again no one should leave their bitcoins on Binance. If you must only a small amount that you need for quick transmigration.

The old school method is not working again. It can only work if you have not updated your Binance. But if you have updated your Binance to the new software then you have to use the two IDs. But if you are still in the old version then you can use one ID to make your transaction without stress. But that is risky. So I advise you to update your Binance. It is for security purpose.
Yes confirmed after updating my Binance application. The old method of Binance internal transaction through UID is not functioning again, although the option is still there, but once you initiate payment you will get this message below

It was stated clearly that refund are not supported which means that if you do any mistake you money is gone.

Is this new internal transaction feature a good thing for Binance users?
I did not see anything that is wrong with the previous one because it is easy and safe why all these changes?

And what you have done remind me of saying that when you watch a movie and you explain the movie wrong after watching the movie then those who have watched the movie would say say, "you watch the BACK of the TV", and even with book, if you misinterpret the book after reading we will say " you have read the back of the book". What am I trying to portray here is that, the OP has done justice for the process or the steps for the issue.
What does it mean, at all?

BlackBoss_ your comment look odd because all the steps are there in the op to get it done.
Done what?

And the links you provided did not go into detail and they are all shallow links.
I shared those links because first, they are official guides from Binance. I would like to read official guides first and I believe we all should start with official documentation.

Second, do you think what you write is better, clearer than official guides from Binance?

Shallow links, what do you mean?

Even now the international transaction with Binance to to Binance is free.
International transaction, do you know that Binance is a global exchange and you can make transactions with their approval to other Binance users globally even without Binance Pay?

Did you think before Binance deployed it, they only make non international transactions?

That's not a pay button but a P2P button even I click the P2P button it just direct me to P2P page without the Binance pay.

Maybe your accounts are restricted that is why you see Binance pay?
Weird I don't see any pay button you mean if it's p2p it didn't also redirect me on that page.
It was a mistake that I circled the wrong direction but even at that a knowledgeable user would see the PAY button at the bottom side of the p2p which I mistakenly circled. Go and update your app and come back and thank me.

It seems the issue is in my app, not the OPs side I updated the app just now and the pay button shows up on my profile.
I can also find the pay button under wallet>funding, when sending there are 3 options email/phone, Pay ID, and Binance ID. So I think the last two digits requirement is to verify if you are sending to the right receiver.
Thank you very much for confirming it. Those who still doubting should update their Binance and try to send Coins. And I also said that the use two IDs happens in the updated version but you guys ignore that part. It is not on the old version but the updated version

how to use Binance Pay for internal cryptocurrency transfer

How to find my User ID (BUID) on Binance
How to find my Binance Pay ID

It can help you to save transaction fee for withdrawals but I don't want people to know my Binance account. I don't use it but I know these Binance Pay through User ID or Binance Pay ID can be helpful to save fees.

Before this update, a Binance user can send cryptocurrency internally to other Binance users without fee. What is difference?

It could be a bug on Op's side, isn't it?
I tend to agree with you, I tried it now, I quickly opened my Binance app account and I didn't experience what Op said.

I think I may suggest reinstalling the app, it could be that time it's a technical error on his side.

after clicking on the PAY button on the Binance profile, then you will see SEND and you follow the Op instructions to complete the transaction. Look at the image.
That is the pay button then after clicking it you will see this again.

But for security reasons many people like to use the ID.
It's already on our profile, it's Anonymous.  Cheesy

I think this is only for Binance user who wants to send coins to other Binance users.
Yes it only for Binance users. You only use it to send and receive Binance to Binance.

I tried to follow the instructions but I'm stuck on the click pay I don't see any button on my profile or maybe this is only for the Binance web version not on the app?

How about sending the coins through their coins deposit address instead?
You can use the deposit address to make the transaction. But for security reasons many people like to use the ID.

I need more clarification on this. Are you saying they don't request for the two digits when making payment from second time to the same address ? Does it mean after first payment, subsequent payments to any address they will not request the second ID?

If I understand you correctly,  you made first payment and they requested it and for second payment they did not.... did both payments go to the same address?

Anyway, thanks for bringing this up here. It will be of help to many.  At least one will know what to face when sending a coin through the Binance app

My brain is already swerving in trying to memorize all that instructions. I haven't made any transaction using the Binance ID. I simply use the regular channel, the old school way. Why go through a hassle and risk making a mistake just because I want to save a few sats in commission? I'm indifferent following through that right now but thanks for bringing such to the public domain. Maybe when the wildfire catches on, I might reconsider my old school pattern and join the bandwagon.

The next step is the main reason why this thread is created. When you click continue, it will ask you to provide the last two digits of the Payee (receiver) ID, so you have to go and check the last two digits of Pay ID and type it in the box and continue. That is all. Many users of Binance are not aware of this and that is why I bring it here.
