According to a statement issued by twitter, they believe it to be a coordinated social engineering attack which targeted their employees who had access to internal systems and tools later they used this access to take control of many highly-visible (including verified) accounts and Tweet on their behalf.

from the information I received Not all Twitter accounts are hacked most Twitter accounts that already have big names like artists and governments
and of course they will pay a fee to open their twitter account

Thank you mate for bringing it up here,atleast this would have notified most people to stay away from this hackers and their giver aways,other prominent account owners were also hacked and the scammers got away with some bitcoin from some gullible ones, it's a pity any way.

There's a lot of other famous people's account that getting hacked, even people that doesn't related to cryptocurrency at all but they had a huge audience. Sadly there's hundred of transaction that getting through to the hacker wallet, since people think that it was a legit giveaway because it was posted by a famous person that people think there's no way they would scammed people.

Last night was crazy almost all big players in crypto got hacked even the Ex-president of US got hacked. Together they have scammed crazy amount of $. What am I really interested to know now is how they manage to hack so many accounts at once.

They just hacked every twitter accounts which have influence in thr financial markets not just only in crypto field because accounts of Bill Gaters, Warren Buffett are also hacked who are actually against the crypto currency.Most people would trust anything because the tweet is from officially verified accounts.

it was a hack of administrator account, or something similar, that is the only way to hack all accounts at the same time, or otherwise they were hacking accounts for some time, and wanted to use hacked passwords at the same time, to increase their impact
