Pretty sure they could handle the high traffic when the volatility increases if they wanted to, like a huge volatility spike Bitcoin had few hours ago, but I think it's part of the price manipulation and they won't ever try and change that.

The same thing was happening with BitMex for a long time whenever price pumped or dumped fast, so if you haven't had stop-orders ready and you were using high leverage you would be liquidated and you could nothing about it but watching your funds disappear, not sure if it's still the case though as the last time I used BitMex was around 2 years ago.

Today , when the bitcoin price was dumping, the binance crashed again. I wanted to cancel my long positions but could not.
Also these are the best time to buy the altcoins in cheap, but no one was able to buy/sell crypto in that important time. I don't think binance can't handle the traffic, its just pure manipulation.
This is the major problem of all crypto exchanges, not only Binance.
That's why I really don't use Binance these days because of this reason, a lot of people to are complaining about this.

I think if this will continue, there are a lot of alternatives for Binance, just like FTX exchange which also less reported about traffic issues.

I don't request loans~
This ain't good when you are trading huge volumes of money from your pocket man.

In similar ways the WazirX get frozen many times but this is not good for the users. Whenever this happens you don't see the real time prices and your app do not synch up with the real time price from the server and thus you may loose lot of money if at the background the prices has gone up and down crazy.

Binance on the other hand grabbing billions of dollars in fees and they should increase their bandwith crazy high to tackle such problems.

This could be cause for major loss for someone with big trades on the line. It would cost nothing to exchanger since they still get their money no matter what.  Roll Eyes
I mean, no exchange would NOT ever crash. It'd crash sooner or later, plus, If you could think of increasing their server size to accommodate traffic, why wouldn't they? I'm pretty sure Binance has some extra servers up or something in case of traffic increase, just that it went above more than they expected. No server is absolutely future proof, at the very least, Binance is very active in informing if something happens. Sides, you can also set up stop losses to prevent huge losses in trading, instead of letting it sit there. That's probably the best option you have to avoid getting hit by a market dump/pump.

Ok, today, as a beginner, I finally figured out how to navigate the market exchange on binance.us. I started scalp trading, and I made 72 bucks in 30 minutes!

...but then the craziest thing happened...

the market exchange on binance.us just froze up. I then tried to use the exchange via my binance.us app on my phone and it's froze on my phone too!

on my pc, I have a bar icon that when I hover my mouse over it, it says: connecting.

I've never seen this type of malfuction before. There's nothing wrong with my internet. What does this mean? Should I be worried? I can't scalp under these conditions! hahaha

You check the the binance twitter to find about the latest development on the issues at binance. I think you are referring to this outage which happened yesterday.

Based on what I read here in the forum there are some holders of BNB wondering why the price of BNB didn't increase despite that they've burned 1M BNB, instead of the price kick in the market, no it didn't happen but the price went down instead. But We cannot conclude the final result now, in my own opinion it will gonna spike for sure, all We need to do for now is but to wait a little longer.

WHOAH! As soon as doge started pumping again today, binance.us started glitching out again! But this time, I'm able to connect, but the new issue is that the chart isn't loading. Everything else on the exchange webpage for doge seems to be working. Here's a screenshot of what I'm experiencing haha. I have to use the binance.us app on my phone to look at the chart now.

....aaand a few minutes later the exchange started working again. that was really weird

This is nothing new with binance as it always held when there is a lot of trading or traffic on the site. The only good thing is that the site always update you on the twitter if they are facing such issues. If you are trading on binance, you should be comforatable with these temporary issues in the site else you can shift to any other exchange.

wow thanks. Yeah I've been following doge closely because it's cheap price grants me the oppurtunity to practice scalp trading. I'm starting to get the hang of scalping without having to spend too much money. The moment binance.us was crashing was the exact moment dogecoin was crashing robinhood. That was exciting to watch.
So the problem was solve already? And you’re enjoying the market using Binanceus now?
Anyway, problem like this is very normal in cryptocurrency, but don’t worry because your funds in Binance is very safe you just have to take a lot of patience and wait for the market to calm down, exchanges experiencing a high volume of traffic, they experience like this many times before so don’t panic.

you have tried to access Binance.us using browser and phone and still get connecting error. it is indicator that problem are server-side and not user-side which often happens at times when there are a lot of trading orders.
the problem has been solved and profits have been made, remember to use several platforms so that you do not lose the opportunity to sell at ATH. use less volumes exchanges.

I have experienced this with Bitmex and Binance.com. In fact, I wrote about my experience with Binance when everything froze (The pain of trading in popular exchanges. Binance froze during the BTC spike)

Expect this kind of thing to happen in popular exchanges especially during times of price spikes or dumps (volatility). There have been reports about Coinbase and Kraken also crashing in the past.
I experienced this before when the market is about to recover, the moment that you have to execute your trade and take profit is very crucial and a sudden crashed happened, this has become a normal situation every time we see a huge pump and dump in the market.

Top exchanges are also vulnerable to such problem, the traffic on this platform is too much to handle during that time. You have to wait until the site recovers, because you can't do anything to fix it just trust your exchange to resolve the issue as soon as possible so you can still have the chance to catch up the trend.

I have experienced this kind of issue before on Bitthumb. I'm pretty sure it was just a non-famous coin that nobody cares about, but once this coin listed on this exchange, guess what?

The market blows up and Bitthumb froze every single second of it, when we talk about big exchange such as Bitthumb I'm pretty sure they could handle it but it's not, the site was crashed for solid 2 hours.

TL:DR -> It's pretty normal I would say there is nothing to afraid of. Just make sure to set the order once it occurs.

When the traffic on a website is high then these things can happen which is just normal and you don't have to be surprised even if last long fir few hours. And DOGE hype also can be a root cause for this. Binance.US needs to improve their website to avoid these kind of lags.

Even facebook and youtube got down quite frequently nowadays, and I've encountered the market crashing like this due to overflowing orders quite few times and honestly most of them got things sorted out within next ten minutes or a little bit later. Maybe the exchange you used just getting overloaded with all the orders not to mention the current hype regarding doge because elon musk but as long as it doesn't make any users lose their money it's still tolerable I guess.
However you might lose trading opportunity so if I were you I'd prefer to switch over to other exchange but only if the alternative is good enough otherwise there's no problem in staying at the same exchange.

I don't have any problem or issue related to what you got. Perhaps, at that time, many traders enter the market together and make the server overload accept many requests. I think that is normal to happen in the exchange, especially if you see some coin go up or down, and Dogecoin is one of the coins that attracts traders attention to buy and sell.

I think you need to calm down when you face that experience and try not to panic because that can make you confuse about deciding. Perhaps, that is the time for you to take a break for a while.

This is quite common with crypto trading. Basically when the markets are going crazy like an hour or 2 ago with Doge. Usually there is tons of orders coming in and the website crashes. Happens to almost all the exchanges like Coinbase, Binance, Kraken, Bitmex, etc.

This is why you should always have some stops set if you are in some position because if you can't login you are going to be introuble if you position goes against you. If you use limit orders and stops, they will usually fill anyways if you can't even login to the website. So be smart and always use limit orders and stops.

Robinhood was also down earlier due to the Dogecoin pump.
