do you have deposit promotion?
We cover the 0.2% fee when you deposit (plus the fees for withdrawing the Bitcoin from BTC-e), so you don't pay anything. However the fee for withdrawal is 1% which is well-below the cost of actually selling and buying Bitcoins on our end.
We have a deposit bonus. The way the Deposit Bonus works is you submit your deposit to us and ask for the deposit bonus. We credit your account with a bonus equal in value to that of your deposit up to $5,000. There will be two columns in your MT4 platform -- your "Balance" (which is the funds you have deposited) and "Credit" which will be your bonus. Say you trade 2 lots of your first day of trading; for each lot you trade we move $0.50 from the "Credit" column into your "Balance" column. This happens at the end of the trading day and will appear on your account statement as "Bonus to balance." So since you have traded 2 lots on the first day, your "Credit" will decrease by $1.00 and your "Balance" will be increased by $1.00. Thus, you can think of it as you getting some cash back (or a rebate) on a portion of your commissions. It will cost you between $5 and $8 per lot traded (depending on the currency pair) and you will get back $0.50 for each lot you trade.
Your "Credit" will disappear if you make a withdrawal. You also cannot fund your account and try to withdraw your original deposit plus the bonus we credited into your account; this is for obvious reasons. However, any "Credit" that moves into your "Balance" is yours to keep. So if you still have some bonus left on your account but wish to withdraw your funds, we aren't going to take the bonus back. You do not have to finish moving all of the bonus over into your balance in order to withdraw any of it.
The bonus is actually added to your equity on the account. So if you deposit $3,000 and receive a deposit bonus of $3,000, then your account equity will be $6,000. Effectively, this doubles your leverage on the account, as you now have twice the available margin on the account. But be careful, you cannot draw down into the bonus as you cannot lose our company funds with your trading. So even though your equity is $6,000 now, your maximum drawdown is still $3,000. You will need to pay attention to your margin used, your available balance and your drawdown very carefully.
Thus, if you treat this bonus as a simple rebate on commissions and do not do anything you wouldn't do on an ordinary $3,000 account, then you will be fine. Pretend it isn't there and be happy each day when your balance goes up a little bit. If you treat it as a way to further leverage yourself, you could get into trouble faster than normal.
Hope this helps,
Joe Carney
