Ini my opinion all transactions have a cost, only one comfermation per successful transaction, the transaction costs for the miners that make the transaction connect to recever so that the higher the transaction cost easier and faster. bitcon transactions are applied as incentives for bitcoin miners.

This will surely be the future, as block reward gets lower and lower. Right now you get 12,5 btc for a block, while on average a block contains 2000 transaction, at a current average 4$ fee per transaction (in the beginning of 2017 it was just 0,5$). So while a miner gets about 8000$ from fee per block, he still get 90.000$ for the block itself. The incentives for miners are by far still the block reward itself.

Not now, but maybe later it will happen because knowing that bitcoin is popular in many countries and more stores or any transaction accept bitcoin. and i think someday it will become less in transaction fees.

It is possible but you will need to pay a fortune to an extra miner to acelerate your transaction, probably more than $10 or maybe $20, so it is not worth it if you can just set up a total fee of $2 or $3 per tx.
Dont be greedy, it is not too much money that you have to spend in fees, why dont you want to pay for it? you can have everything for free if you are talking about cryptocurrencies.
It is a service, you are sending money and you need to pay for it to get confirmed, it is not difficult to understand.

Is it possible to send bitcoins without paying a fee?

Once I've seen a guy on this forum that forgot to put a fee on his transaction and sent it with zero fee. He started a thread and someone accelerated his transaction. Duno how it happened (and I don't recommend to do it with your own money) but it seems like it is possible to do it Smiley

Wow such a newbie in here, please, try to understand how bitcoin works a little bit more before making a transaction, because you will only have a loss of your funds if you try to send it without any fees.
It is insane, this is like joining to a train without paying the ticket, you will be kicked out of there without any explanation. Think about it, miners are the ones who makes your transaction goes through, and you have to pay them for it.

Yes you can send a transaction for as low as 1 satoshi, but it will most definitely take a while to get confirmed so just keep that in mind. The higher you go the faster it'll take to get confirmed.

Hmmm.. as far as I understand it, and I might be wrong, fee has never been a requirement in bitcoin, but a necessity in order to get your transaction included in due time. It’s a necessary evil, if you ask me. Of course once the block reward stops it is the only reason miners have for mining.

It is possible to send bitcoins without any transactions fees but the risk is that you never know when it will get confirmed by the miner. The transctions fees are for the miners who makes the transactions connect the sender to the receiver so higher the transaction fees faster will be the confirmation of the transactions.I think only 1 confirmation is good enough and transactions without internet is not possible. If you try to send bitcoins without fees there is higher possibility that the transaction will be never get a confirmation.

1.No, you are required to have fees so that miner can confirm your transaction. Probably the higher fee the faster the transaction can be. 0.001 is a good fee that for successful transaction less than 10 minutes or so. You can have lower fee but the longer it will take.
2.Depends on how much you trying to transact. Normally there 30 confirmations but if its low you can have 10 confirmations. Not sure about this though.
3.Nope. You need internet connection to make transaction. You can go offline after you sent the transaction then go online when you need to check it.

You are not correct. It is possible to send transactions with zero fees, only they are the last to get mined and usually won't, and will get stuck.

Yes and No on the first question : You may sign up with a third party service like Xapo and then do multiple transactions off-chain via their system and then just cash out the balance. The problem is, the transactions are only free, if the person you are sending the money/bitcoins to are also registered at Xapo.

Example : You have 100 people and you want to send 0.001 BTC to them every day for a week. You get them to register with Xapo and you transfer the 0.001 BTC to all 100 of them via Xapo.

They will only have to pay the miners fees, when they withdraw the BTC from the Xapo system.

These Xapo transactions are FREE and INSTANT. ^smile^

1. it all depends on where you want to send bitcoin, but usually all will have shipping transaction fee.
2. everything depends on where you send, usually 1 - 3 new transactions successfully entered into your wallet.
3. seems impossible, all need connection when send bitcoin

think logically, we are doing the transaction by paying a fee, sometimes it is still often the case pending or slow finish, try to think if it doesn't pay,Bitcoin transactions are in place as an incentive to miners when validating bitcoin blocks. One of the reasons there is a fee is because the larger the transaction data size, the longer and more energy it will take miners to validate the data. Transactions with higher transaction fees tend to be validated faster in the blockchain. Conversely, transactions with low or zero transaction fees tend to be validated more slowly, or eventually will get rejected.

I would say 5-10 confirmations from the miners.

it is not just as simple as that. it depends on the risk model.
you may be receiving payment from someone you know: 0 is ok
you may be receiving small payments when everything about network is ok and you run a full node: 1 is ok
and so on. read this: https://bitcoin.org/en/you-need-to-know#instant

Yes, if you have bitcoin loaded on a physical device you can sell that device to anyone for any amount of money both parties agree upon.
i wouldn't call this "sending bitcoin" you are transferring a promise to the other person. you may make it safe and all but it will never be 100% safe unless you are the one creating a private key securely and send the coins to that.
the person selling you that physical device might as well have the keys.

Is it possible to send bitcoins without paying a fee?
Yes, you can do that but there is a less chance that miners include you to their mined blocks, and it will takes time or even your transaction will be dropped by the network. That's why transaction fee is recommended when sending.

How many confirmations required to ensure a transaction is successful?
1 confirmation is required so a transaction will not be dropped and to avoid double spend. But some exchange requires more confirmation atleast 3-5 confirmation will do.

Is it possible to transfer without internet?
The answer is NO.

I guess he is asking for the common transaction and not this way. Even there's a bitcoin on the device its too dumb if someone bought it since there are possibilities that the recovery options are still on the seller.

No way, you have to pay shipping costs. To my knowledge only up to 3 confirmations. You have to connect to the internet to transfer, without internet you can not transfer.
