Hi, i started having this problem when i run the -server option too.  It happens when the computers are turned off unexpectedly.  I have four mining servers and at first just one was affected, so I just pointed cgminer at the other server which was working, but now all of them are affected so I am forced to find out whats causing the problem.  Once I figure it out I will post it here.

This is what i have tried so far with no success:
Delete all files from the bitbar folder in the appdata directory (make sure you make a backup copy of wallet.dat before doing this)
Delete the bitbar-qt.exe folder with all files.

This did not fix the problem.  Will keep you posted with my progress.

This is not bitbar problem, this is QT problem, that's why it cant be fixed by changing bitbar files.  It affects all windows QT clients compiled in that time.

It should be fixed when new ver is relased based on newer QT.

problem:
-QT not responding

reason:
-incorrect windows shutdown while running QT

quick fix:
- run some other coin wallet once, than run bitbar-qt

permanent fix:
-recompile using new QT
or
-wait for new version.

Computer improperly shutdown, windows 7

Bitbar.qt executes but freezes upon opening, bitbar.qt not responding.

Running Bitcoin.qt client, deleting appdata/roaming/bitbar, reinstalling BTB 0.4.3 no help.

Search in C: drive, found AppHang_bitbar-qt.exe_

This could use some addressing as the next step for me would be to format hard drive and reinstall windows.

Thanks

Same here, I start bitcoin wallet, get green tick, then open the BITSHIT wallet and it never synchronises.
Get the green bar light up for around 3 seconds then tells me to wait for dload of blockchain or contact devs.
Running 4.2, I don't mine these coins because of the bugs!
DODGEy as!

I've got the same problem , Bitbar wallet not responding after crash pc . it's a real problem for a miner who use to crash pc when oc gpu .
I've got 7 rigs and a Bitbar wallet on each one ; 3 of them are not responding .
I feel not secure and this is not good at all for Bitbar if users feel not secure .
Developpers , you have to solve that problem , it's important , in currencies nothing is important but confidence .

I downloaded 4.2 and that was working until the pc crashed. I deleted the block chain to see if that was the problem.  I re-downloaded 4.2 to a new folder and moved the missing files from the old folder to the new one, apparently 4.2 download is just the qt-exe and bitbard.  That worked for awhile until the pc crashed again while I was tweaking OC on my cards.  Now I'm back to it not working.  Really gonna be a pain in the ass if I need to keep downloading and changing folders every time the pc goes down.

Do you have your wallet updated to the latest version, and have you re-downloaded the blockchain recently? http://bitbar.biz/

Computer closed suddenly last night and now I'm having this issue again. Opening and closing bitcoin-qt hasn't resolved it.  This is the only wallet I consistently have trouble with.

Still haven't problems with the QT client.

It hangs at the GUI, but the client operates in the background. You just can't interact with the QT GUI.

Solutions?

aha, figured it out.

It relies on the bitcoin client for some reason, just needed to run bitcoin qt once and bitbar qt will work.

Here it is
Thanks Killiz, that worked!

Go away Bitcoinss.

It didnt fix the problem... yet, i am waiting for the bitcoin wallet to syncronize and ill let you know if it fixes the problem.  Thank you

you don't need to wait for it to synchronize, just run bitcoin client once, and shut it down in a few minutes. Then run BitBar client, it should be fine. I'm not sure why this problem exists, but I hope the dev is working on it.

Bitbar is not a failure, Bitbar is trading for 0.13 BTC each consistently at the moment on very low volume exchanges. There are only 3408 bars mined at the time of this post.

I don't get why some people are so easy to ridicule this currency, the only conclusions which I can see are:

1. They actually really like the currency and would like to drive the price down, 'to buy it cheaper'.

2. They cant afford to buy as many Bitbars as they would like, so they try to drive the price down 'to buy it cheaper'.

3. They find it a threat to many of the shitcoins that have recently been spewed out over the last month or so, of which they have invested in, only to find they are now holding a bag of shit.

Yes I am invested in Bitbar, and I dont think I am holding a 'bag of shit', yes I would like it, and believe, that it will succeed regardless in the long term, just like bitcoin and litecoin did in the face of ridicule.

P.S. Trucoin, if you are reading this, I want no 'I LIKE YOUR STYLEEEEE!!!!' or shit like that. You in my eyes have done more harm to Bitbar than anyone on this forum. Maybe you should quit if you like your coin so much!

PPS http://bitbar.biz/ is the official site, as listed on http://bitbar.info/index.php not the one Truecoin leads you to believe.
