anyone had successful transactions with these guys so far? I put a order and still waiting

Yup, they are legit. My deposit by wire was confirmed in one day. I've been trading (albeit a tiny amount) over the past month with them, their exchange works well, but they have no volume yet.

Highly recommend giving it a shot.

I'd rather eat the shit than trust you on the matter, LOL!

Bitbox, from the look of it, is just-another-exchange scam.

Fixed.

Now I remember why they invented the ignore button.

Unless someone is (paid) shill, he or she would not promote same service so eagerly and put naysayers on ignore. How high is your stake here?

I have nothing to do with bitbox at all. I have sent money to them once to test out their platform.

Gone through yet?

When you say you placed an order, do you mean you set a limit order for a trade and you're just waiting for someone elses order to match up with it and execute? Or that you are waiting on their payment processing?

0.75% taker fee for order quantities that are executed immediately
0.60% provider fee for order quantities that are queued and later executed

Gox has 0.6%, BTCe has 0.2% and Bter is free for some coins.
Maybe you should think on make it cheaper to get customers.

Cheaper than free? Please, do see here, Mr. Peanut.

MPOE-PR, your point is correct in general, but would only be applicable here if Bitbox were providing some measurably stronger service than its competitors (the way MPEX does).

Bitbox, from the look of it, is just-another-exchange. As a liquidity provider, I'd go on their exchange if they gave me some incentive to do so. As it stands, they give me only disincentive by being the most expensive place around.

The bitcoin exchange marketplace is competitive, and only getting more so. This is going to drive fees down over the long term. IMHO bitbox isn't going to stand a chance unless they cut their fees at least a factor of two, if not more, at least for high volume traders.

Or do they offer some special sauce that I don't know about to warrant the high fees?

Don't forget your allies, the Australians.  Roll Eyes
Funny you say that past M4ttanderson! Tongue

For Australians (more countries to be supported). Try Coinjar.io With a 2% flat fee. Poke around and see for yourself.

I do not represent Coinjar

I'm confused what that has to do with anything?

Please, please also follow us on AngelList: angel.co/bitbox
We’re trying to gain a bunch of followers so we can become a trending startup which will help us raise venture capital which will help us succeed in this cause and be beneficial to the community at large.

Yeah this is shady, you just launched and already looking for funding. You obviously have no idea how that works. You need to prove your model, which looks to be nothing more than every other exchange. I think your putting the cart before the horse in this instance. Also if you do an exchange right, you really should have no need for venture capital. As your user base scales and grows this should allow your company to scale and growth right along side it. You really need to research what venture capital is and how it can help your company at certain points in your company growth. We all want to be millionaires you just can't be to greedy about it.

gweedo:  sounds like you are perfect expert to start up an exchange ... we need more of them.

My account on bit box has been credited. Compared to the other 10 exchanges I work with this has been the easiest.

Same day funding and verification.

Email from bit box support

"We're working on scaling up features as is. Also, we're in the process of confirming your wire– we just need to make sure it's clearing. as you know, btc is irreversible and we have to do due diligence to protect our customers– but we're expediting this all to make sure you can do this in the next half an hour."

Verification and usd deposit same day? This could be exactly what we need.

Hopefully should have usd on this exchange in the next hour.
