The Silver Wallets aren't that expensive but you could go for a cheaper option and make them nice Christmas themed Paper Wallet with a QR code on etc. That would be a nice gift I think.

You could just send them BTC thats all, so they learn how to use it.

That's good gift.
maybe they will be rich after learn about bitcoin and they will buy something they want Cheesy

Yeah. The best gift about BTCitcoin is BTCitcoin and Paper wallets inside a traditional gift item sounds nice.

How easy is it for newbies to use the paper wallets though? What do they look like and how would they work if you want to use them and access the btc on it as a newbie?

Talk about gift ideas was thinking of rewarding myself with a trezor. The least I could do is to have a peace of mind that my bitcoins are practically almost unhackable. Also giving away some btc for my nieces. Lately they seem to show interest much in crypto and I want to make sure they stay on with bitcoin.

I like the silver wallets, if you are in the mood to give someone a very expensive gift go for that:

Shirts, Phyiscal coins , Stickers, Pins and old USB miners
These type of things pretty much sums it up as to what bitcoin related items you really can give others.

I would also disagree that a sliver wallet is a physical bitcoin as it does not come preloaded with any inputs (you need to generate your own private key and print out a QR code)

Fair enough, its not a Causcius since it didn't come with a preloaded value so your right, anyways if the OP meant bitcoin items only pretty much wrote the whole list there unless I'm missing something ah thought of one custom wood products from the Woodcollector with a Bitcoin symbol on it.

But other than possible handmade goods think it makes more sense to mention things you can purchase with Bitcoin to give to others than just Bitcoin items.

(Until someone creates a marketplace with Bitcoin styled swag)

A silver wallet would probably be the only thing (apart from a physical bitcoin) that is actually bitcoin related.

While I would encourage people to use their bitcoin at merchants that accept bitcoin, doing so would not really educate the gift receiver the benefits about bitcoin

What would you have in mind Willisius
A silver wallet is a physical bitcoin but the only other things I can think of would be a Bitcoin T-shirt or a Trezor

Bitcoin stickers and pins seem more like novelty items.
Other than that an old usb mining stick tops the list of Bitcoin items per se, but items you can purchase with Bitcoin to give to others seems like a convo starter.

(cannot think of many directly related bitcoin items)

In the midst of the holiday season, trying to find the right gifts for the right people, I started thinking about my interest in Bitcoin and how I can share that with others in my family.

What Bitcoin-related gifts are you all buying your friends and family?

Let this be the single thread for sharing BTC gifts and ideas.

Happy holidays!

You could try some honey from the Bees Brothers
Get something off newegg
Or purchase a silver wallet (Silver Bitcoin)

Of those three probally doing the honey and the Silver bitcoin, newegg stuff is cool though.

One more thought...

Sending someone BTC is a great idea but if someone has zero exposure to BTC they're likely to just ignore the gift or cash it in...it doesn't really engage them in it, it doesn't spark curiosity.

Thanks for the ideas, any more are also helpful!

Thanks for the responses, I'll check out the links.

Btw, what are Bitcards?

Casascius coins are better used for gifts for myself... Grin

If Casascius coins are too expensive for you, you couldn't always get some of those bitcards, they have much smaller denominations.

A Cassacius coin would be a great gift, if you can get your hands on one. But obviously too expensive to gift to multiple people .
