Why can no one just explain in plain english why the price has just gone through the roof?

What is the reason for that sudden spike?

We just hit $8k-mark few hours ago. Those who short BTC get burned hard on this last pump. Fortunately, for those who just buy any dip of it and hodl it without any doubt must be feeling exhilarated now. We hit one milestone again in BTC's history and this will be a glory of the past after a year or so once we hit $15k. Cool

Above the chart, next to Zoom, click on 1d, note the blue spike at 12am, hover the mouse above the blue line to get actual numbers of total circulating supply and correspond that with bitcoin's price spike.
Those 30 something million tethers appeared out of no where, all in one big lump, weird eh?

Ye I see that but confused as to why the price has just shot up.

bitcoin already touch 8k...I can see btc going to higher and higher, I guess this year have remaining 1month after close 2017 this year touch 1000$ by the year's end!!!

Well then after that, what could it be? Will there be a fall because they have reached their quota and will start selling.

I am loving seeing bitcoin at this price. Now everybody should do your own homework prior s/he invests. If you were in it to flip it for a quick buck, then you'll probably have to wait, or may be you did already to get profit. Not everybody have same priorities when it comes to investments. I invested in coins last year, they still are undervalued, but I do follow the developments, and it is gonna be ok at the end and I am waiting a huge correction this week already and I have set my orders. It is called due diligence, good luck for all!

The aim is to buy them when they're relatively cheap, not when they're at an ATH, markets tend to correct themselves after ATH.

Damn, I am willing to invest in Bitcoin and buy as much as I can, however I am still afraid it will not go up, but start falling, like it has happened before. If I would know for sure it will rise and rise, I would put all money in BTC.

At the moment, Bitcoin price has broken the peak 8k$

) 8k$ is the strongest resistance based on past price movement and Bitcoin price did it, it reached over 8k$ so I think it'll go to the moon very soon

). Hope to see 10k$ or maybe even more than that at the end of this year. LOL. At the moment I think altcoin price will go down because of the ALT/BTC pairing.
