I used to be a fan of Bitcoin Cash, but someone on here said it's failed because Roger failed to push this project to his expectations, really? I don't agree, because this project still have 4B market cap right now, the failed fork of Bitcoin are Bitcoin Private, Bitcoin white and few others, Bitcoin Cash hasn't failed yet.

It's better to buy Bitcoin because BCH is a altcoin and with that insane market cap it will be hard to make some good multiplier gains in the next bull market, I would rather go for SEI, and few other projects that made it launch on Binance launchpad since the beginning of this bear market.

Bitcoin (BTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) are two separate cryptocurrencies that originated from a common blockchain, Bitcoin (BTC). They have different features and goals, which led to their divergence. Here are the main differences between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash:

Block Size Limit:
Bitcoin (BTC): Bitcoin has a small block size limit of 1 MB, which was implemented to maintain decentralization and security but limits the number of transactions processed per block.
Bitcoin Cash (BCH): Bitcoin Cash was created with a larger block size of 8 MB (and later increased even further) to allow more transactions to be processed in each block, aiming to improve scalability and speed.

Transaction Fees and Speed:
Bitcoin (BTC): The limited block size in Bitcoin can lead to congestion during times of high demand, resulting in higher transaction fees and slower confirmation times.
Bitcoin Cash (BCH): With its larger block size, Bitcoin Cash aims to offer lower transaction fees and faster confirmation times, making it more suitable for everyday transactions.

Development and Community:
Bitcoin (BTC): Bitcoin has a larger and more established development community, as well as a longer history. It is often considered the original and most recognized cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin Cash (BCH): Bitcoin Cash emerged as a result of a hard fork from the original Bitcoin blockchain in 2017. Its community places more emphasis on using cryptocurrency as a medium of exchange rather than just a store of value.

Philosophy and Use Cases:
Bitcoin (BTC): Bitcoin is often seen as "digital gold" and a store of value, emphasizing security, decentralization, and resistance to censorship. It aims to be a hedge against traditional financial systems.
Bitcoin Cash (BCH): Bitcoin Cash focuses on being a peer-to-peer electronic cash system, aiming to facilitate everyday transactions with low fees and fast confirmations. It aims to be a more practical means of payment.

Market Capitalization and Adoption:
Bitcoin (BTC): Bitcoin has the highest market capitalization and is the most widely recognized and adopted cryptocurrency. It is often considered the standard in the cryptocurrency space.
Bitcoin Cash (BCH): While Bitcoin Cash has a lower market capitalization compared to Bitcoin, it still has its own user base and is accepted by some merchants and services.

The global rank market cap for Bitcoin -Cash is currently 18th and not 19th at the moment.

Where did you get your Data from? As of the day I wrote that reply, it was ranked 19th.
Alright mate, it could be possible it ranked up in it position afterwards.
As at the time I made the info available it was 18th position, and I even drop the link source to it but I'll still repaste the link again.

Here's the source link to the data: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.softwaretestinghelp.com/bitcoin-vs-bitcoin-cash/amp/
It's also at 18th rank in the Coinmarketcap but no matter what rank it is, as long as it doesn't exceeded the marketcap of Bitcoin or its rank, it doesn't matter. There's no way BCH overcome Bitcoin.
I am not oblivion of this current reality, I was only confirming the information I made available to @Dr.Bitcoin_Strange. we all know bitcoin is the leading cryptocurrency and bitcoin-Cash marketcap is nothing to be compared to that of bitcoin. Bitcoin has the highest number of investors with a trust placed on it like other over the years.

hey im new, what is the difference between bitcoin and bitcoin cash? can anyone explain in short words?
The difference between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash is that Bitcoin is the first coin to lead all cryptocurrencies, while Bitcoin Cash is an altcoins that has nothing in common with Bitcoin. Bitcoin was created by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009 and Bitcoin Cash was created by Pieter Wuille in 2017. The supply of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash is similar, where Bitcoin has a supply of 21000000M and Bitcoin Cash has a supply of 21000000M. But there is a lot of difference in the block size, especially the block size of Bitcoin is 1 MB and the block size of Bitcoin Cash is 8 MB. According to the current market price of Bitcoin is $29000+ and the market price of Bitcoin Cash is $228. There are many other differences such as Bitcoin's price high at around $69k and Bitcoin case high at $3,900. The two have some similarities but most are not.
There are many other differences in aspects including block size. If you look into it, you will surely see that many people have already told you about it. Read them and you will understand the difference between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.
You will get the idea if you wear it here.

You have already been told of the main differences. Now, as a conclusion, or perhaps as an advice as well, you should only be sticking to Bitcoin and not Bitcoin Cash. If you are willing to risk your money, you should risk it on Bitcoin and not Bitcoin Cash. Bitcoin Cash is dying. Bitcoin will remain strong for many decades from now.

The Bitcoin that you've been reading all over the news; the Bitcoin that BlackRock, Invesco, WisdomTree, and other huge international companies want to adopt is Bitcoin and not Bitcoin Cash. The Bitcoin that is accepted by small, medium, and large business establishments all over the world is Bitcoin and not Bitcoin Cash.

Bitcoin and Bitcoin cash are fully different. Bitcoin is a coin and it is father of all cryptocurrency i think. Bitcoin is first currency in this market. On the otherhand Bitcoin Cash is a Altcoin and it created by following Bitcoin. Symbol of bitcoin is BTC and symbol of Bitcoin Cash is BCH. Bitcoin launched in 2008 and Bitcoin Cash launched in 2017. So there has huge difference between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash. They are Fully different. Also Bitcoin price is now $29k+ and now Bitcoin Cash price now $236.

Simply: Bitcoin is Bitcoin; Bitcoin Cash is not Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Cash is just some altcoins that are being created by some pyraniod teams that are obsessed with Bitcoin and want to prove that they can do better by introducing BCH.

I don't understand the hate towards the BCH. It was exactly what the "small block" camp wanted them to do (to "fork off"). Creation of BCH instantly ended the contagious block size debate, so the only people that should be mad about it was the "big block" camp, as they didn't get what they wanted.
After the fork we've seen some people claiming that BCH was the real Bitcoin, which was plain false and wrong, but that's a different story.

Another great difference is that Bitcoin is ranked the number one cryptocurrency with the highest trading volume in the entire crypto market, while Bitcoin Cash is ranked around 19th,
The global rank market cap for Bitcoin -Cash is currently 18th and not 19th at the moment. But that of bitcoin being at number one ranking is correct.

For OP: bitcoin was introduced in 2008 while bitcoin-Cash was in 2017 and also bitcoin-Cash is capped at 21million as its limit, currently now it's at $500.

hey im new, what is the difference between bitcoin and bitcoin cash? can anyone explain in short words?

The difference is simple and that's bitcoin cash isn't Bitcoin but just like every other cryptocurency that's claiming to be better than Bitcoin but they're not and they're called altcoins, Bitcoin cash has been rising recently but don't be carried away because those rise won't last and if you already bought it, you have to secure your profit before it starts dumping. Bitcoin cash was a fork from Bitcoin but that doesn't make them a part of Bitcoin because there has been other forks in the past.

The only difference here is that Bitcoin cash can be said to be successful as they're still trading and one itf the popular Bitcoin forks that has occurred in the past and that's because whales are pushing Bitcoin cash but it isn't Bitcoin and won't be successful than Bitcoin.

How shocking that Bitcoin Cash still manages to confuse people! /s

I'm pretty sure that 90% of this is from people going to bitcoin.com. So the day that Roger Ver sells out the Bitcoin.com operations, I'm pretty sure some people are going to have a few beers.

Had to check the date if it was written in 2017 because it’s Been years since someone mentioned Bitcoin cash. I remember some wallet that Roger Ver used he referred to Bitcoin cash as Bitcoin and many people bought Bch by mistake when they wanted actually Bitcoin. Then he had to change it back due to the complaints.

The good news is that it's totally easy for people to see if an address is a bitcoin cash address by checking if it has "bitcoincash:" in front of it.

Two different coins, which rose because of a hard fork that was created as a result of a disagreement of opinions in the community. Bitcoin Core (BTC) is the real bitcoin while Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is the altcoin that was created. Please note the moniker and trade accordingly, based on which one you find as the most convincing. There is a group of influential shills promoting BCH, which was much more buzzing during that time than now but they still exist and they live in their own bubble and forum.

Also note that those who held bitcoin during the fork have received BCH of equivalent amount on the day of the fork. There are official ways to retrieve it, but try not to fall for scammers promising you the same.

When there was a disagreement in the bitcoin community to increase bitcoin block size or not, the community divided and the people that wanted increase in block size later resulted to bitcoin cash creation while bitcoin remain to be bitcoin.
Technically the community did not split. There are loads of altcoins like bcash that have copied both bitcoin code and blockchain creating a forked copy of bitcoin called something like like bitcoin gold, bitcoin silver, bitcoin cash, bitcoin diamond, etc.
These are always a minority or rather a handful of people that create such altcoins and are not "splitting" the community. The only difference bcash has is that it has been so much "louder" than the rest of them!

Either way it’s an alt coin which has lost its way pretty much. Roger Ver and that bitmain ceo have seem to stopped talking about or supporting it. It might pump here or there but I don’t think I’ll ever replace Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the decentralized cryptocurrency that was created by Satoshi Nakamoto. Bitcoin Cash, on the other hand, is the alternate cryptocurrency that was forked from Satoshi's Bitcoin. In other words, Bitcoin is the original version and Bitcoin Cash is the new version.

This was one of the results of the block size debate or block size war as others call it in which Bitcoin supporters are divided as to whether or not to increase Bitcoin's block size. This was in relation to the scalability concern. Bitcoin sticks to 1 MB while Bitcoin Cash chose 32 MB. The implementation of Segwit however increases Bitcoin's block size to 4 MB.
