just like any other currency bitcoin is also being used to purchase necessary goods during the pandemic including bot not limited to medical supplies such as face masks,... and also due to its global nature with low fees and high security it is used for donations to help battle the pandemic.

am thinking about application for contact tracing (to detect who has been in contact with an infected person),  requires each user to have a unique address and interactions between users to be recorded and made available publicly
this is simply not possible.

I understand the kind of thing you're referring to, however, I don't understand the idea you just shared (doesn't mean it's useless). As far as I've heard, I haven't heard of any stuff in which bitcoin relates To Help/fight/inform about Covid-19.
