Bitcoin is a risky no one know if they exist in future or not. You can invest in bitcoin only if you have a job because there's hug chances of loosing your money. Can't depend on bitcoin after retirement because government are looking to take it down. Bitcoin can work only for side income not for full time
No don’t think like this because so many people are earning only with bitcoin, they use to invest and hold their coin for long term so it rises in price and gives profit, the best thing I like about bitcoin is it will never make you lose if you deal with care, buy when the price is low then don’t sell until you are sure about the growth of your money,, so hold as much as you can so after retirement your life will become safe.
Yup right the more we hold our bitcoin then the more it rises, I think 2019 is gonna be the best year for bitcoin, as well as we talk about retirement then I am sure everyone would like and prefer to make bitcoin investment because till now I have never seen anything better than bitcoin to save for long term, it gives me safety and it allows me to store my money until I get retired from my job.

Whether it'll survive for longer time period or not, I'll continue to hold part of my earnings in bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies. So that even if there is some issues I can withstand the situation. I'm sure there won't be any issues, because when something gets increase in usage automatically the growth takes place.

It indeed a great idea to save for the future and so lucky you saved at the time the market was a little bit friendly and stable, am thinking of doing same too because no one can tell what the future holds and saving for retirement in cryptocurrency is another form of investment since your saving can earn you massive interest as the market grow.

if we talk about bitcoin ,we talking about blockchain technology.and ofcourse it will developted day by day untill all field adopted it.i am sure bitcoin and blockchain technology will survive in long time.
I am not against bitcoin nor blockchain. I am just afraid what if bitcoin banned world wide ? I looking the chart which is decreasing now days i have doubt it will be end any time. Just Compare the highest price of bitcoin which was 20,000$ and now its just 5000$

that's impossible  , we know that bitcoin is already legal on most countries nowadays and you cant say that bitcoin will be banned worldwide because bitcoin is online and decentralized , no one can possibly ban it  .

government of a country can only ban local exchange and stores related to bitcoin  as well as some local websites  . still people can bypass the restricted sites using some tools  and we can still use bitcoin . the decrease of the price is also normal  , there is nothing to worry about  .

I always have a benchmark to see BItcoin prices go up very high, that is when Bitcoin will do Halving every four years, so at this time it is time to invest as much as possible, and hold it for 2020, so we keep reaping the benefit.

I think it will be a really great idea to hold one or more bitcoins for retirement, this investment can be a safety deposit in the event that your fiat retirement plans fail. However no one knows if a bitcoins investment for 20 or 40 years will be wisely, but with bitcoins, you can always choose to sell, you normally can't do that with an investment plan you have set up with a pension fund.

Hope, when the time of my retirement comes the cryptocurrencies will exist still and will be actively used. In this case, I will simply become a very active trader.
It's not your job to ensure that bitcoin will continue to exist, all you have to do is keep collecting bitcoin and buy it as much as you can,
when you've reached retirement age, you'll be grateful for the way you did it

That is a very reasonable idea to me.
Planning for the future helps to overcome unforeseen circumstances. But in the case of this crypto, one has to be very careful in order not to safe for another mouth.
One must be pretty sure the savings is safe from any or every hackers,or else, one end up regretting.

If someone is risking his retirement to gamble on the Bitcoin price it's something totally ridiculous if you as me. On another side I don't rely my retirement on Bitcoin I can't afford the risk to be poor when I will be old.

Every cent count is the saying in which we can all apply for saving until the day of retirement it is a good choice to choose bitcoin but specially with high volatility of the subject it is still good to invest on a bank or fiat if you prefer or by percentage let's say 30% fiat 70% crypto.

It is a very good idea hoping that the return on investment will continue to increase. In this case, you will have a remarkable retirement. This year especially has not been a rosy year for cryptocurrency and bitcoin in particular. I think it will be nice to spread this investment between some top cryptocurrencies.

Keeping some of your pension funds in cryptocurrency is  a great way to prepare for your pension without much sweat. Cryptocurrency has proven over time that it increases in value when hold for a long term, and savings a little amount of your disposable income to cryptocurrrency will in few years yield a good return.

Holding your pension funds in cryptocurrencgy is a good idea because as you said holding it for a long time will increase its value but for me it has no guarantee to do it though bitcoin is one of a promising cryptocurrency but still it has no guarantee because we know that it is volatile there has many possibility will come up in the next days. But for now, try  to think another way to put your pension funds.

storing pension funds in a crypto currency might be a good idea but because there is no definite guarantee of price fluctuations and continuity, we should not just keep it there, just a few percent invest some in the real form and have a low level of risk consider reserves as a precaution, however, pension funds are something serious that needs to be managed wisely and maturely because it involves our future, a little advice is not that I don't believe fully in crypto but being cautious and rational is still a wise choice in investing today
