Bitcoin has long been used in various transactions, one of which is criminality. But it all depends on the user. Like a knife, he can be used for good or criminal.
Bitcoins has regained its strong value, As of this posting, the value per 1 bitcoin is exactly 4786.59 US Dollar. Soon we will see more ways people can squeeze the most out of bitcoins. Since the advent of the internet to be profit oriented in the 90's, no one would possibly have imagined that the Internet would breed Facebook, Google, Uber, online streaming, etc. This is where we are with the Blockchain now. There exists a whole world of opportunities out there.
These opportunities have the unrighteous users of this cryptocurrencies to also used its advantage. We cannot deny for a fact that cyber crimes have been committed since the birth of the internet. Once, stealing was done with having guns, now, robbers can easily hack bank accounts or counterfeit credit cards to their advantage. Sooner, cryptocurrencies can be used to pay crimes such as services for creating counterfeit birth certificates and this is not far from happening. Actually, the US has already cases on this matter.
Another is the crime of buying illegal-drug emporium that used Bitcoin as a medium of exchange, politicians and policymakers took notice. Criminals, it turns out, really like bitcoins, which can be exchanged for nefarious purposes on the "Dark Web," with complete anonymity and, it seems, impunity.
Although, there are some articles that i have read regarding criminals cannot hide behind bitcoins, still, there are difficulties tracing transactions using cryptocurrencies. That is why law enforcement agencies should have a to change their procedures to pursue criminals who make use of the latest technology to commit crimes. Let the law find a way to evolve to address new tech challenges. There is no reason to expect that law enforcement won’t be able to get a handle on this new cybercrime.

I know that already when I first geard about bitcoins in the deep web. I first saw it there because my friend tell me about that thing and I saw this digital currency thing an bitcoins is the most popular and it is used to pay some drug dealers hitman and everything that is illegal because bitcoins are decentralized which means government have nothing to do with it, they cannot track it without permission. Bitcoins gaves us the freedom in iir own money they gave us the privilege to access our own money without government involved. But despite of that thing bitcoins is a great thing all things have a dark side.
like we all know everything that has an advantage also has a disadvantage. the bitcoin only has more advantage than the disadvantage that is why we tend not to see them. however, some people will tend to use that part too
I think, this has long been done by criminals, this is actually a deviation from bitcoin function. With bitcoin, the criminals can make transactions to buy / sell weapons or the sale / purchase of drugs. With bitcoin they can easily transact between countries, while corruptors do money laundering with bitcoin, because bitcoin owner is hard to trace.
Yes but what can we do about it it was expected you can use every money for a crime we can not do anything about if you ban bitcoin because of that i would not think that 1 million people who are using this will be happy.
I think that criminals are already using bitcoins. They can easily hide their stolen money in to it. Nobody will know it because bitcoin is anonymous so it will be very hard to detect them.

Announcing that bitcoin is now being used for criminals to do shady activities is like saying that guns are now being used to kill innocent people. People are always going to use things in a very immoral way. But you can't really do anything about it. People are always going to abuse the anonymity feature that they get from bitcoins. It's the same thing with guns. They are always going to abuse the ability of a gun to instantly kill a person. And it's all just part of human nature. We are doomed to do bad things to each other because otherwise this will be a frictionless world where no one is committing sin.
It is sad but true. Bitcoin was being used in dirty area since its beginning. That's the outcome of anonimyty unfortunately.

I heard from some friends of mine that bitcoin is being used by criminals to buy guns and drugs on the deep web but i don't see that really happening. Probably because bitcoin is not being looked at. that is why they are doing this.
Bitcoin it's not anonymous and can be used for licit or illicit activities since it's just money. Make this kind of publicity it's just BS and no sense. Many banks have been involved in money laundering and nothing happens, fist money it's used daily for illicit activities and no one talks about ban fiat.
Bitcoin gives you the control of your money and only you own it, this it's not interesting for gouv/banks, it goes against their interest and they make this kind of publicity for people without brain to tell them it's bad and not use it.

Every thing that originate always had double effect even gold the precious metal also used in different way it was also used in crimes so we can not stop the criminal mind to use bitcoin its there way to use bitcoin but we prefer to use bitcoin in business and other good trading system
I think that bitcoin always already was been used for crime. At least that is what i heard from my friends because bitcoin is not being controlled so you can do whatever you want with it and buy whatever without anyone knowing what you brought.

Yes, this is very sad thing that many antisocial people use bitcoin for their criminal activities. Bitcoin refferred to as a 'wild west of finance'. Various scam, frud, hacks, and other crime have been done by the help of bitcoin. Many money laundering case has been reported in the cyber department of police. Many terrorists organisation use bitcoin for spreading their criminal activities because bitcoin provide safest transaction ever and also provides maximum security l. E. Without involvment of third person like banks when transition occure. Child pronography, murdering, kidnapping are other criminal activities which are associated with bitcoin. 
Anything that has a value can be used for anything, criminals are attracted to BTC as BTC is not traceable yet. But BTC is not a crime money itself.

You would be surprised what sort of things can be used as means for exchanging money for facilitation of criminal activity. One example is diamonds. People think diamond are a symbol of love and pureness, but there are powerful people that practically control the industry and have slaves who mine diamonds at the bottom of the system.
That bitcoin is decentralized doesn't really mean that it is completely anonymous. Exchanges would ask for your ID and I'm sure law enforcement agencies would have ways of tracking the most heineous crimes, seven if the money trail is via crypt I currencies.
Not for now only, Bitcoin is being used in crimes right at the start just because of its secure so it's really hard to find out the owner of any transaction cause it's almost anonymous. Because of these cases there are a lot of bad guys are taking advatage of Bitcoin everyday to commit crime like money laundering, tax evasion or drug trafficking. IMO I think this is the reason why Bitcoin still not legalized worldwide and even banned in few countries.

This is dangerous. If all the rich people will use bitcoin for doing crime in secret and paying the killers through bitcoin this is not a good news for everyone.
