if minimarket have special billing and automatic exchange which is a distinct advantage. when minimarket opened using a fiat currency, the management of goods and money will hassles in using bitcoin payments, so that when the application of the bitcoin payment must also be combined with a sophisticated computerized technology in minimarkt.

now it's been a lot of that name minimarket, fermented why the payment has not been anyone using bitcoin, but it was very profitable for the owner minimarkat

how to address situations like this if you are the owner of the mini market

the price of bitcoin is not stable. and particularly these owners do  not know more about bitcoin. on what will bitcoin become in the future. the are afraid to lose money if the price will go down. what they think is that , in the first they build their own markets to earn money and not to lose them. but if only they have enough information to what is really bitcoin then they will probably use bitcoin as one of their accepted payments. just like netherlands, they have this city where some big or small stores are accepting bitcoin because THEY KNOW that the value of bitcoin will increase in the future.

Peoples is not ready for that time yet. Make sure anyone in this world knows about bitcoin, and the simple things like bitcoin minimarket payment will happen. You know this time if you ask your neighbors, there's a little possibility that they know about bitcoin, most people who knows about bitcoin is peoples that spend their time lot on the internet.
You maybe right in some other point, but even their not yet ready to accept bitcoin as their alternative virtual currency as their payment, I think we can tell them the basic usage of bitcoin to those who will accept it.  Because in this kind of situation the people behind the topic I think He's doing everything to educate people about in bitcoin, then He choose to put up a mini mart to their place. Which is a sign for us that bitcoin really became popular.

If you are the owner in the minimarket, create some gimmick to your client customer. Like giving them a promo discount using bitcoin as their payment but now those client who will get interest to your gimmick then teach the basic usage of bitcoin to those who will qualify.

BTC wasn't made for being a payment system. BTC will never be worldwide accepted as Paypal or other similar payment processors.

I am sure it will be very profitable for the owner of the minimarket, but will it be profitable for the buyers as well? I don't think so. With the exorbitant fees, bitcoin transactions for small purchases have become costlier than the product itself. So why would anyone use bitcoin for that?

Bitcoin looks good as an investment now and nothing else. If I am an owner of the minimarket, I would love to accept bitcoin as a payment option because I know it will reward me suitable, but not as a purchaser. That's where the parity belongs.

I think an owner of mini market can count it's too risky to start to accept bitcoin for payment. It's cause of bitcoin is not stable and one day the price is 1100$ and everything seems ok, but next day the price fall to 800$ and the owner just loose his profit.
To accept bitcoin for payment we have to live in a world of bitcoin today. To not just accept it for payment, to pay salaries in bitcoins, to pay taxes in bitcoin and many other costs. Only then this idea will work.

why would you accept BTC if you own a store while you can accept cards without any headaches?

remember, the stores are not only in USA.  how much would cost you to accept BTC if you have a mini store Europe? how long does it take until you get the payment from Bitpay? what fees? It's simply doesn't worth Smiley

Local shop especially minimarket and retail shop is not really suitable adapting bitcoin because the price swing, retail shop only got a slim profit, with the unstable price it is difficult for them to calculate profit and one more problem is the transaction speed which is kind of slow and there will be extra charge for sending the coin

They dont want to accept something that is volatile that's why supermarket owners are afraid of it.
Because they fear something that is unknown to them but with the knowledge and guide you could teach them that bitcoin is actually profitable.

This seems very interesting, because I have not been there minimarket area that accept payment using bitcoin, it may be quickly implemented

I think in order to implement Bitcoins in mini markets and local markets, they need to have stable internet infrastructure so that they may implement bitcoins payment system with ease.

Market shops don't accept Bitcoin because they have no idea what it is.
But even if they did, most of their customers don't. You may think otherwise, but you're wrong. If you think about it on a larger scale, the amount of people that genuinely use or would like to use Bitcoin for daily needs is low.

What's needed are promotional campaigns, such as billboards, TV campaigns etc. Those are expensive but they will greatly raise awareness to everyone.
I don't think that the reason for none acceptance is as a result of having no idea about Bitcoin, but more on the fact that Bitcoin is not yet fully matured to fit into everyday use like mini markets. There are issues of congested network and delays in confirmation of transactions, some running into days and then the issue of high fees would make micro transactions a horrible experience.

Simple, use third-party services such as BitPay that can convert bitcoin to usd after payment received to reduce the risks of volatile bitcoin price and hard-work to set/use the bitcoin payment system.
Then, you can advertise your mini market to bitcoin community in your area and offer small discount/something special for payment with bitcoin.

But, the real problem are regulation in your country, finding people who would use bitcoin and creating the system to accept bitcoin (or the fees if you use third-party services)

yeah, good luck changing the prices of the products every time bitcoins price changes
a volatile currency is not compatible to a business such as a minimarket you can't put
a price on your product since the price of bitcoin is constantly changing.

I have small trouble understanding what do you really want to ask here.
If you are asking if introducing Bitcoin payment in medium/small sized local grocery shop is good idea the answer is - no.
Volatility is not even the biggest problem here: high transaction fees and longish confirmation are.
And the most important fact: there are not enough bitcoin users to have BTC payments viable investment.

It;s simple, they have no idea what bitcoin is and it's not like a lot of their customer using bitcoin to pay for daily necessities forcing them to implement it either. And the fact that bitcoin price is so volatile can make the owner lose a lot of money if something happen to bitcoin.

I would say that it would be very risky to choose bitcoins as a payment in replace if fiat .the price of bitcoins fluctuates a lot thats y it is probable that you have the risk  of going into loses and you need to promote a lot of bitcoins in order to accept bitcoins
