Right now its hard to make Bitcoin as your primary source of income. The Fact that its not yet fully well know by mass majority of people is a major factor. It has great possibilities but right now i think not yet. Unless you invest a great sum of money.
It's hard because of the difficulty has increased and the price is increasing. But if you are able to make 0.005 BTC or higher that's already good for a single day. You just need to full blast your talent and make sure that you will be working the best that you can. Another opportunity always is with trading.
It's not that bad per year if you have other source of income but if you will make yourself fully dedicated to bitcoin this is an accepted amount. And if you are living in a country that the cost of living isn't that high then this is going to suffice your daily needs. Also the thing is the price increases so it can be still high in exchange.

Most people that live on bitcoins simply use them because they are paid in BTC in exchange for a service that they offers, its common amongst casino owners, web developers, software engineers as these careers are firstly technical in relation to others and many operate and work long distance from the employ and so for convenience it makes sense to be paid in them.

Bitcoin kind of reminds me of religion. No one saw him, but assured that it is. Moreover, many change real money for numbers in a digital wallet. Probably too early to consider bitcoin as a way of earning. This is an opportunity of income for speculators, but it should be able to. There are people who earn money from bitcoin but most of the time it isn't enough to support yourself, that is why bitcoin is considered as a part time job. There are heaps of options to make money with bitcoin though. Most people just use bitcoin as an investment option, not as a source of income but of course you can make money of bitcoin
Part time job? Then why not turn it on a full time job and let's see if bitcoin can't be a source of income, I disagree with this. I'm a student, and I'm doing bitcoin as a part time job and yet I'm earning almost 0.12 bitcoin per month as a minimum earnings, so how come that it can't be a source of income? I'm confused.
Maybe you are not spending enough time or you're not taking bitcoin seriously, you have to be dedicated on doing this so you could see that you are earning enough for yourself.
