I don't support bitcoin been used as fiat currencies because I believed it will be more valuable using it for online business transactions. I also think it will be complicated to use it as fiat currency as many people will not understand that barcode scanning which others many take as an advantage to scam people off their funds given bitcoin and the entire Cryptocurrencies bad reputation.

sure i did start this forum for fun, about bitcoin being in paper form
i am thinking it could work like a paper wallet more less

where each piece of paper has a barcode on, that can be access if u scan with your phone etc
each paper has a value
it be a like a system where u can have that barcode with that amount of bitcoin with you in your hand and just scan the code to access it
in which u could physicially trade coins with someone else
vs scanning each other phones

In my opinion, paper notes will defeat the purpose of bitcoin. Bitcoin was designed to be a virtual currency --a digital payment system that does not require banks. And I think that's the beauty of it. Let's embrace the fact we are at a digital age and haven't reached its peak yet. It only makes sense that our future will be shaped by these revolutionary technologies. I heard in a few decades, everything will be digital or virtual. What do you think about being a cashless society?

Fiat currency will also be meaningless if bitcoin will be put into paper notes. The purpose of fiat and bitcoin will vanish.. I agree with you. The purpose of bitcoin is to be unlike fiat currency and to be virtual as it is. Unique and different on its own way.

No, bitcoin is a digital currency that facilitates transactions on the internet, and if bitcoin is realized in the form of paper it will actually complicate the use of bitcoin, and also in the form of bitcoin paper it will be easily falsified.

It's time for everything related to paper to be removed immediately, the earth will be damaged if the paper industry continues to survive, and the presence of digital money like bitcoin is the right solution to save the earth.

I know there was some company experimenting with paper notes to help people who have not internet use BTC.

Anyhow this is an interesting thought. Do you think that it would be possible to put not exactly BTC into a paper note but any crypto in some what of a denomination in a paper note. eg hardware

more less it could be used for people who have no access to internet have spending power, where the paper notes would have  bar code scanner code on it, that they take to someone else for buying goods and services.

Your thoughts on this idea, could be used in whole numbers of a type of crypto if the numbers meet up to a certain standard, as not to correspond to a FIAT system but be entirely in Crypto?

your thoughts? pros and cons to this concept.?

why it could work ? or why it would not work?

Paper notes could work, provided that they cannot be counterfeited. The problem with this form of ownership is it brings its own vulnerabilities. I also agree that the purpose of bitcoin is to do away with paper money, in large part. But I suppose there could be room for secure paper money backed by bitcoin.

I also think that is something that will help us to give physical form of Bitcoin. but this concept will complicate the transaction process and will be another additional cost ...

this is an impossible concept, this concept equates crypto and fiat currencies, this concept is more complicated and if someone wants to buy something better using a credit card or paper money, if you use the concept you think it is very complicated and difficult

The only bitcoins that are supposed to be on paper, should be Paper wallets and not some "copy cat" fiat version of paper notes. The idea for Bitcoin is to be digital and if people do not have access to the internet, then the community should rather address that issue.   Roll Eyes

We want to improve on the limitations of old paper money, not replace it with something that are the same.  Grin

I do not understand, we call bitcoin is cryptos, Bitcoin is a digital money and it will always be. Why would it go back to paper? Instead, it will be pushed towards cryptos rather than paper money.

If this system will be implemented then it will surely be against the purpose of bitcoin.
The essence of blockchain is to provide users a faster and more anonymous way of transaction.
By doing so will not only defeat this purpose but will also surely entice people to do fraud by having multiple copies of that paper money.
So my guess this wont ever materialize.

Let’s keep it digital. There is a reason why it is called a virtual currency. Going paperless is the future. Bitcoin is the future.

it can work if the state does not prohibit digital money and the government makes this idea a reality,
but unfortunately there are some countries that prohibit buying and selling using unauthorized money.
and this can hinder your idea.

Bitcoin as a paper notes this is not a great idea because bitcoin is a digital currency & if we change its real body than what will be difference between bitcoin and banks paper currency because we are using it on internet and this is a decentralizes also bitcoin know about its fast transaction so this is a very bad idea to make bitcoin as a paper notes.

I don't think that it is something that is going to help us in the long run. When we are giving physical form to Bitcoins, we are ignoring two prime factors that include the need for internet connectivity and loss of the Bitcoins in case of any physical damage to those notes. This concept is not much impressive because it is complicating the process instead of simplification.

I think this is a bad idea and many will agree with this.  Bitcoin is necessary to us precisely as a digital currency and it should live only in the virtual world.

We all know the crypto currencies are the virtual one and their physical form doesn’t exists as all the crypto currencies are the digital currencies so there is nothing to do with its physical form as bitcoin is considered to be very secure and most confidential one and people love bitcoin because because it is very very easy to carry and most secure one and bitcoin as a paper notes could never be useful and if any country will any issue any bitcoin notes then obviously it’s users not like it.

As we all know that crypto currencies are the virtual currencies and its physical form doesn’t exists and being in digital form , it is most lovable one and the most reliable one because of its digital nature because it is very reliable one and even its transactions are very secure and the most confidential one and because of its digital form, it is very easy to carry so if anyone has any thoughts regarding its physical form then it is obviously useless because no one wants bitcoin to be get in physical form.

Bitcoin is digital, why would you create a banknote out of it? It will totally defeat its very purpose. If you are into paper note then you might as well just buy banknotes or something similar like a bond. It doesn't make sense for bitcoin to be like some kind of notes. 3/4 of the world has Internet already so I don't understand where you get the idea that there are still people who don't have access to world wide web.
