I dont think bitcoin will be the future. It will however open the door for many projects to be. We still need to see alot of regulations concerning btc.
Bitcoin was born for this reason, for the payment system , no more barrrier , no more formality in transaction. Satoshi made this Bitcoin for people who want to make global transaction.
i think cryptocurrency will become the official payment system in the world. but i can not exactly which coin will be the official tool, BTC, ETH, IOTA or XRP,... no one can know.

In my county bitcoin can be use as payment already but only online and very limited establishment accepts bitcoin as payment. Adapting it as a mode of payment in physical establishments like hotel, restaurant and others would be possible but difficult to implement.
Revolution must be done immediately because of the many complaints of payment systems with banks, this is certainly a great opportunity for cryptocurrency to fill it, with the number of users continues to increase then bitcoin worthy of future payment system.

It would only be possible if bitcoin would be able to reach a stable value, though I estimate that it would still take years for that to happen since its market is still very volatile and it is still expected to increase further more nevertheless I'm quite sure that Bitcoin's true purpose will be realized in one way or the other, lets just enjoy its benefit as of the moment.
