If I were in their shoes, I guess it would just be best both for my mental health and physical health to kill my emotion. Or else I would be losing sleep from the point Bitcoin went up as high as $100 until now that the price is already $52,000 and definitely in the future when the price will be more than $100,000.

What I am hoping in hindsight is that these people still have a lot of Bitcoins with them until today. Even if they have a hundred left, they could easily move on from their past mistake.

I am amazed to see the exchange rate history of bitcoin. I wish sometime If I came to know about BTC at that time and trust on it today I must be a multi-millionaire but those who keep trusting from the starting of the bitcoin are now financially free. 10K Btc in just 50 USD wow how lucky are those who held BTC from the beginning to date. But I must say it's not easy to trust new things from the beginning. Even today some people doubt the bitcoin potential. I know they will repent later by not trusting on BTC.

Today we look at the price of Bitcoin in 2009 and regret we haven't bought some that time. But what about the future? What if Bitcoin will reach $500k in 2025 and we'll still be regret that we missed a chance a become richer? I think we have no time for considering Bitcoin investing or about the risks of it. We should do it right now because Bitcoin is already $50k and it looks like it's not going to stop at this point.

If we talk about the past, not many people will know about bitcoin, and they do not search for more what it is bitcoin.
They do not even think that bitcoin prices can be like today because they have other income sources to guarantee them to make money.
If they know how big bitcoin potential in the future, they will try to buy as many bitcoin as they can, and they will hold it until today, so they can sell it at the highest price now, even for just 1 bitcoin because that is a lot of money for them.
But it already happened, and we can go back to the past, but we have time to earn bitcoin from now as we have many ways that we can use to earn bitcoin.

It truly is breathtaking if you think about it. Then a few seconds later regret comes in. lol, I really shouldve trusted my instincts back then. I never would've had such regrets right now. But then again, this was way back then and on my past self's perspective, bitcoin is still a shady thing and that it is used only by criminals on the darkweb. That was how dumb and uneducated I was about bitcoin. Had I thought about investing time on studying bitcoin instead of thinking where to invest my money, I  would've been sitting on thousands of bitcoins by now. Oh well, that's life

Looking at that pre-stage of bitcoin and the growth it has attained now, one can hardly believe that, at a time, so many can be gotten for less. Choooooo, it's marvelous in my eyes.

more than 10 years ago I was offered 500 bitcoins for solving math problem for $5 on Fiv*** (website). I declined. Later I regret about it but after some thinking came to the idea that it was for good. remember that no one holds that quantity for a decade. I have a friend who bought 1000 BTC for $1000 and later sold it around $2000. so 1K profit. You can make much bigger profit very easily if you just buy today and sell some hours later:).
so it is better to have 5btc bought in 2015 than 5000 bought in 2010. 10 years ago there were no exchangers neither serious wallets to keep your coins etc. so don't get me wrong but I believe buying EVEN today in fact is better than buying in 2010!

Those investors who bought at that price, do still they manage to hold it until now? I doubt it. But then of course they sell it off at profitable price and rebuy bitcoin again.
If there are 100 early investors at that time, I think that only 1 or 2 have managed to hold it or possible none.

Nobody expected for the price of Bitcoin to reach this price except for those early adopters who knows a bit of economics. After all, it doesn't matter anymore if they are holding it until this moment or not as long as they got the profit then good for them. Its just very nostalgic indeed to see how much you can buy for a dollar.

Back at that time 2009, I was still on my primary school Cheesy. If only I knew it at that time and held it until now then I would be lying in my bed the whole time Smiley.

If they don't have diamond hands, probably sold at very early. But profits are profits, there is nothing wrong for taking profits, especially those people or investor have a goal or price target that if a particular price reached, they will sell some of their holdings or sell all. And it will up to them if they will re-enter or buy again on specific prices since we saw a lot of volatility and huge dumps for the previous years since 2010.

Honestly, I just met bitcoin way back 2018. If I knew it before like 2009 or even in 2015 I can also be one of those millionare by now, but then we can't go back to that time and just accept the fact that bitcoin certainly did a good progress from the day it was created until now. Price flactuations from the past up to this year encourage and attract new investors and hook the interests of those people who wanted to try this new kind of investment.

Bitcoin back then was a nascent technology, and I would say that in the next five years since it's inception, it is till unnoticed and people really didn't know what this technology is all about. Sure it has a price and can be traded and you can buy at a cheap price, but there's no such thing as HODL attitude.

So currently, we can just all look back in awe reaching that $50,000 and thinking that in the next ten years the price could go even higher just like what we have seen in the past.

Good to go back to those old days here and how everything really started and we wish we're here to witnessed the birth of bitcoin. Even in twitter, there are a lot of people posting their early experience in buying and then selling it because they didn't know how big it's gonna be 10 years later. The question is if we did discover bitcoin early, are we also going to sell and take profits? Really hard to say, but yeah I agree that it is somewhat nostalgic look back when we hit the magic number of $50K recently.

This was back in 2009 though, we never knew that it will get this far and only a few know about bitcoin back then, it was still a talk underground and most people that were interested in bitcoin back then were programming and math people, not to mention that there are times that the people who bought those bitcoin in 2009 have sold it when it was around 1 USD or 1k USD because they didn't know that the prices will go up too. We can only imagine those what happened in the yesteryear, and this hindsight hopefully becomes a lesson to everyone that when an opportunity presents itself then you should grab it, not too late to get in the train because it is always open for everyone to hop in.

Since bitcoin hits a major milestone at $50k, let's take a look back and see the price early.

Just imagine how cheap it was back then, and now we are hitting $50k just like that.

Another nostalgic thread:

[OLD] Bitcoin Auction: 10,000.00 BTC --- Starting Bid 50.00 USD.

10k=$50, damn, those where the days.
