With a bitcoin ATM, it is definitely easier and more sophisticated in transactions, and surely ATM companies will be more fortunate. Indeed, there are many positive aspects, but how are the procedures and security?

For the time being, I think it's easier to simply buy online. With some of the peaks of transaction time back in December-March, I'm not so sure if I want to wait that long front of an ATM. Never tried it though.

Having a Bitcoin ATM is a good thing to the crypto user and the crypto space. It will increase the exposure of Bitcoin to the mainstream and as well make it easy for the crypto user to spend his cryptocurrencies in the real world apart from online purchases

My other question is if people are worried about the security of these things.

Security shouldn't be an issue as your existing coins are never at risk. I would be careful with KYC procedures though, because they can link your identity with the address you provide them.

I like them because they provide awareness, but if you have easy access to an exchange, they're not going to be very useful for you.

Anyone here use a Bitcoin ATM anywhere? What was your experience like with them?

I saw these two articles that talk about the popularity of these ATM's and how much they're growing every day.

My other question is if people are worried about the security of these things.

If the ATM does not ask for your private key when withdrawing money, then there should be no danger. In General, it is a very convenient initiative. I vote that such ATMs should be at least 1 in every major and medium city of the planet. This will greatly change the attitude to cryptocurrency as a full-fledged tool of payment. You know?

I have not use it but I know that there are several bitcoin ATM's in some countries but hope to use it when it is within my reach because it is and plus to bitcoin.

Definitely, new BTC ATM's launching in most of the countries is a happy news for all as success is on its way and popularity is increasing day by day. The majority of the people will come to know about cryptocurrency or atleast they Start researching about it. It's a big bonus in my opinion.

Like ATMs that we often encounter in various places, Bitcoin ATM machines allow users to buy their own digital currency directly in place, both for banknotes and online wallets. And we can make 2-way transactions on a Bitcoin ATM Machine, which means you can also sell private Bitcoin while getting cash on the spot. In my country there are 3 Bitcoin ATMs scattered in various places, the existence of Bitcoin ATMs is useful for bitcoin holders and tourists holidaying in my country, and many foreign tourists use Bitcoin ATMs.

ATMs are for sure becoming more popular than they used to be. Though, just because they're are more around doesn't mean we mustn't be careful when using them.

I was in Canada when the first Bitcoin ATM was installed in Vancouver and we used it once, I think Bitcoin was sitting at around 1k USD at the time before it fell to 250 USD. Unfortunately in India, ATM machines are not welcomed and the first ATM machine today was taken down by police. I think India is really impeding blockchain and Crypto as much as it can because I think they are afraid of cyber crimes using Bitcoin and tax evasion/ money laundering I guess because so many online scams come out and they do not want to see the same with Bitcoin happening.

The problem using Bitcoin ATM's in my opinion:

1. The high fees
2. The need to wait (until the transaction get confirmations) and you receive an SMS to withdraw the money - Hopefully this gets solved with LN in the future.
3. Asking for passport (ATMs have cameras) after certain limit. Probably due to regulations but still...

Aside from that, they're really handy and the companies behind them (in my case Bitaccess) are very helpful and have a fast support. I had a transaction where things went wrong, I contacted them and they refunded me.

Interesting. Well when our country was blessed with the first ever ATM of BTC then suddenly week after that the owner of the ATM got arrested by police and all his assets including the tailor machine got ceased. Lolz. Thats the kind of country I live in and looks like things are not going to change ever. So unfortunately I was very close to using the machine but thank I did not used it as I would have been convict for the same. Lolz.

Looking at this scenario it seems to be time consuming and complicated process. It would be better to go for online wallet using.

I have never physically seen a bitcoin ATM before. I think I have only seen it in pictures. I can see a few people sharing their great experience using it here. It will be a great thing if it can be available in a good number of places. It will definitely draw traffic to bitcoin.

Back in 2017, even in Ukraine, Bitcoin ATMs were installed)) I think many people have heard about the situation in the country ... But, however, at least in some direction, we are moving ... I personally did not use such a terminal. I prefer using a PC and various resources) Although there is a desire to purchase some coins for which bitcoin is needed. And I have to buy it for the local currency. So maybe for the first time I will test this ATM)) I wonder what the commission is in it. Grin

Bitcoin would certainly go far with the bitcoin ATMs, I cant wait to use one, when it finally arrives in my country. I believe the future certainly looks right with bitcoin in place. I believe most crypto enthusiasts are looking foward to see the use of  bitcoin ATMs in  all parts of the world as this would certainly increase the use of bitcoin among alot of people.

Bitcoin ATM is not too popular because of the high fees, and because of the unclear legality there is no investors dare to put the ATM machine in my country, I ever saw one when I go abroad and it's very useful but the fee is way too expensive
